is it just me or do other people also have messy (romantic) relationships in their drs? bc i swear my platonic relationships r so healthy but then there goes me and my s/o either being avoidant or dramatic.
𝓢TARNIGHT ❪ olivia riveras ❫ ⎯⎯ is the one & only ultraviolet lantern within the green lantern crops & in the universe. living a duel-life as both superhero / popstar , she protects the universe though the power of song.
most notably, livia is one of the founding members of the justice league, alongside batman, superman, wonder woman, the flash, aquaman, martian manhunter, & green lantern.
livia was born to a human mother and an alien father, specifically a green lantern. as a child, he often took her on different space adventures, even to oa to train her in combat. when she turned 15, he decided to specially modify a green lantern ring for her to use when she became of age.
when on vacation, their home planet, sonaria, was invaded by political extremists from a nearby planet. livia's father forced her to take the ring as defense against the invaders. the extremists were able to overtake her father, and injured him severely.
at that moment, livia called upon the emotional power of 'reason' (the ring changing colors from green to blueish-violet) and was able to fight back the extremists enough for backup to arrive.
however, it was too late for her father, who was rapidly dying from his injury; his final request being for livia to carry his legacy as a green lantern and protector of sonaria.
when interrogated by the guardians of the universe, her fathers' friends, abin sur & sinestro, came to livia's defense about her being allowed into the corps & about keeping the ring, stating that she had been trained as a green lantern since she was a child by her late father. the guardians reluctantly agreed to instill her into the corps.
at age 20, livia discovered that her voice had a hypnotic effect on most alien lifeforms, which was due to her sonarian blood. while she couldn't fully control people's minds with her voice, she could slightly influence the listener with her voice. seeing a benefit to this, she released her first album under the nickname given to her by the media, starnight.
quickly, the album became a no.1 hit on social media, elevating livia's popularity around the globe & solidifying her the popstar / superhero we know her to be today.
