Stevie Wonder on accessibility for people with all kinds of bodies and abilities.
Gifs: The Grammys on CBS
[Four gifs of Stevie Wonder holding the envelope announcing the winner of a Grammy written in Braille. He says “You all can’t read this, huh? You can’t read Braille, nah nah nah nah nah. I just want to say, before saying the winner- We need to make every single thing accessible to every single person with a disability.”]
How it feels to have a chronic illness sometimes
[Gif of Charlie Brown looking down at his feet sadly as he walks. The caption says, “The harder I try, the worse I get.”]
Being a MASSIVE Castle fan and also a Geordie I'm bitterly disappointed by their lack of effort! This guy says the odd Geordie word but is clearly an American actor attempting a northern English accent and failing miserably...it actually comes out more Northern Irish if anything maybe mixed with a little Scottish! And so is the music being used...nowt to do with Newcastle! If only there was somewhere I could email to tell them how much they got it wrong! So sad by this I'm really tempted to not watch the episode when it airs! 😞

Mattress Wars
I may have mentioned a month ago that we had bought a new mattress. Well anyway it was a fancy gel one that you sink into a bit and basically since it arrived I've not had ONE good nights sleep. Also I've been waking up in pure agony most mornings and during the night. So basically I'm EXHAUSTED and have been for a month. And it's not even regular people exhausted its chronic fatigue spoonie exhausted! So luckily the bed shop have a "40 night" guarantee which meant we could swap it once for a different one and just pay the difference (which there wasn't any) and the delivery. We picked a combination one this time which is mostly pocket sprung with a layer of gel and it felt loads better in the shop but I guess time will tell! Getting delivered on the 12th. But in the meantime I'm going to sort out the single bed in the spare room to see if a night in there would be better for me. I don't want to be apart from my boyfriend but I need my sleep and I need to not wake up in extra agonising pain, I get enough of that as it is! Fingers crossed the new mattress is awesome Xoxo
Being a Mom
Being a mom is late nights up watching your babies sleep, crying because you aren’t sure how you got so blessed
Being a mom is cluster nursing until you think your boobs are going to fall off.
Being a mom is toys everywhere and laundry that is never ending
Being a mom is never eating a hot meal, or when you do finally get to sit down to eat that hot meal little fingers stealing your meal right off your plate.
Being a mom is saying things you never thought you would have to say like “NO! We don’t touch the cats buttonhole now come wash your hands!”
Being a mom is tantrums because a favorite baby doll isn’t found fast enough, or simply because the sun is to bright
Being a mom is worrying over every little rash, bump on the head, or bug bite.
Being a mom is waking up in the middle of the night covered in spit up with a hot sweaty newborn pressed into your side and a foot in your back from her big sister and smiling because you can’t imagine anyone else in the world you would love to be uncomfortably sandwiched in between.
Being a mom is I love you wars and Annie sing a longs.
Being a mom is days that make you want to pull your hair out and run to the nearest airport, and days so good you feel like you’re walking on the moon.
Being a mom is staying up until 3 or even 4 in the morning just because once they are asleep you can’t pass up the peace and quiet and the chance to finally read that book thats been collecting dust or to watch something that isn’t Yo Gabba Gabba or Spongebob Squarepants.
Being a mom is sinking into a hot bath only to have the door burst open and a little person jump in.
Being a mom is finger paints and park trips
Being a mom is to expect the unexpected, learning to stop and breathe.
Being a mom is cuddles, there is nothing better than the cuddles (except maybe the matching outfits those are pretty awesome too)
Being a mom is sloppy kisses, and big bear hugs
Being a mom is a camera in your hand 24-7 trying to capture every moment you won’t get back.
Being a mom is going to bed with a full heart because they are yours, you made them, and even though they drive you crazy they are still the best thing you’ve ever done in this world.
Being a mom is 24 hours 7 day a week. It’s seeing the world through brand new eyes, it’s an adventure.
It’s rewarding, it’s special, it’s your entire universe wrapped into tiny bodies. It’s not always easy, but it’s always beautiful
Things like this make me not want to have kids...like ever!

Ah I love this!!!
3 years ago today we brought this little ball of fluff home. Oscar is one of the best things that's ever happened to me and my family. It sounds strange but he's the reason I get up in the morning. Before Oscar my chronic illness was kicking my ass, I was spending all day inside, not getting dressed and sleeping until well into the afternoon. The pain really got me down and I do believe I was in a deep depression, the pain ruled my life. Oscar totally changed that, I mean yeah changing my drugs helped but needing to walk him every day numerous times gets me up and dressed, gets me out of the house even if some days it's only to walk him and I don't go out for anything else. He also has brought happiness back into my life. He looks after me when I'm feeling low or in pain, he knows when I'm not well...I don't know how he just does and he never leaves my side. Thank you Oscar, I'm so lucky to have you in my life. The best dog in the world xoxo
