hiii! my first gundam was gundam wing. i've seen quite a few gundam anime since then. faves are (the last 12 episodes of) gundam seed and 08th ms team. recently watched gquuuuuuuuuuuuuux and ibo. prob just gonna post here until my hyperfixation passes.

t-this is exactly as the title says. loot crate made ibo stuff? wtf really??? im amazed this exists...

first there was a uhhh set of "gundam life style boxes" or something made during 2021 with boxes themed around wing, 00, ibo, seed, and 0079.

the ibo one seems to exist in like, loot crate unboxing videos and reddit posts haha

loot crate is not known for quality and more of a box of random nerd shit that people paid like $40 - $50 per month for. compared to the 00 loot crate where you got earth sphere slippers??? i guess this seems ok

im not sure why / when this was made, but there was also a mug modeled after the landman rodi:

it seeeems this was part of a series of gundam related ceramic mugs from loot crate, the others being an orange haro (lockon's from 00) and a purple haro (associated with seed but wrong color? i dont think anyone in seed or destiny had a purple haro).

the existence of a landman rodi mug is fascinating to me. like it is probably the most circular / mug-shaped thing you could get from ibo, lil mug dude is Friend Shaped.

my japanese acquaintance who loves aston and wants to collect all official merch related to him, however, is thrilled to learn about the existence of "gundam merchandise, america", and i bought a couple of these from resellers bring back to japan for her someday

ichiban kuji posted some more photos / previews of the upcoming ibo 10th anniversary kuji that starts this week. since the prizes include 2 gunpla and all of the artwork is unique / new specifically for this kuji, i expect it to be some kind of bloodbath lol... gut says that the mgsd barbatos, even if it's clear color, is the most desirable prize here

metal build barbatos option set

bandai spirits put out a video showcasing the new parts you can get for metal build barbatos: the double shooty cannons + folded up boomerang, as well as the swords + thrusters that barbatos adapt uses in wedge of interposition. it also has english captions if you turn them off in the options.

based on chatter i've seen, it seems some english speakers originally believed (and still believe lol) the cannons + mace is meant to be "calamity war barbatos", but the designers talk in this video about it being a "what if"-type thing, and say they imagine the cape is a gift from tekkadan (like how the guys gift orga his suit in wedge).

shinoyuu day and shinoyama day

april 7 and april 8 are shinoyuu (shino x eugene) and shinoyama (shino x yamagi) day, respectively. these are number reading things, kind of.

april is because shino's name has "shi" in it, which is a way to pronounce 四 meaning 4

4/7 being shino x eugene day is, afaik, because eugene's last name is "seven"stark

4/8 being shino x yamagi day is because of yamagi's name. 八 is 8 and can be pronounced "ya"

Animate gratte printing: let's bite Eugene's head off

For April, Animate will be selling Gratte products with Zeta, IBO, Wing, and Hathaway. The ibo things reuse the SD art from the cafe. Gratte = their edible prints, so you can buy a drink or an icing cookie with your chosen character printed on top, then you also get a random coaster as a bonus

one of my friends will be in japan at end of april and I'm rly tempted to ask him to go buy me some overpriced icing cookies bc I really wanna bite eugenes dumb head off

for april fools day, the official gundam channel posted a trailer for celestial being: the movie, the movie-within-a-movie from awakening of the trailblazer. its narrated by ryotaro okiayu, the voice actor for treize / andy / BRING STABBITY.

...and then in the sd gundam gacha game, we got the movie version of setsuna as a free gift pilot lol
