We don’t want our phones out but because stuff is made a certain way we are not stimulated/interested enough. We DO want to be trusted with your craft and your subtext. We DO want to pay attention to every detail. We DO want to watch the story play out before our eyes, we don’t want to be told about it by the characters themselves.

I finally did it… I watched Heated Rivalry. And it’s NOTHING like I expected.

Honestly, I don’t know what I expected but it wasn’t one of the best, most slow burn, and well rounded love stories I’ve ever seen on screen. And it’s all told with so much care and love that I want to kill myself because I’m so fucking overwhelmed.

The music the used throughout the fucking show?!? OH MY GAWD. The delicacy of everything that goes on between Shane and Ilya (of course, while they indelicately ram each other) is INSANE!! Also, they’re both sooo suicidal in such different ways because Shane wants to just die because of his repressed everything and Ilya wants to kill everyone else and then himself because of his repressed everything.

And of course, beyond the story and the writing and the cinematography and the direction, Connor and Hudson have to be commended for completely giving in to their characters. It’s only because they love Ilya and Shane that it gives us the chance to fully fall in love with them as well.

AAAARGHHHHHHHHHH IM JUST SO OVERWHELMED!!!! IM GOING TO GO WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN AND JUST CRY THROUGH THE WHOLE THING THIS TIME AROUND BECAUSE THEY MY BABIES AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AND THEY NEED TO BE HAPPY FOREVER AND I’D BURN THE WORLD DOWN FOR THEM!!!!!!

It just hit me that Katniss haunted Haymitch’s and Snow’s narratives in the exact opposite ways…

Where Snow sees the girl who tormented him, Haymitch sees the girl he’s still tormented over.

Where Snow sees the friend who didn’t think of him, Haymitch sees the friend he forgot.

Where Snow hears her song as a haunting tune, Haymitch hears it as literal music to his ears.

Where Snow sees her as a symbol to fear, Haymitch sees her as a symbol of hope.

Where Snow sees her as a past he can never forget, Haymitch sees her as the past he needs to remember.

It’s truly truly endless and I didn’t think of it till this very moment…

You can almossst see the regret in Effie’s eyes as she sees Haymitch entering the arena. The sheer reality of where he’s going… almost, but not quite.

I was very much like “daym what part of the book is this scene from” only to be hit by a fucking truck BECAUSE THAT’S NOT FUCKING MAYSILEE AT ALL

I’ve seen people be mad at how the show is “excluding” Daphne and Simon but it’s literally the actors that don’t want to be a part of the show anymore. It just so happened that the immediate next pair of actors, Anthony and Kate, do want to be a part of the show.

The funniest part about this season is that Benedict KNOWS it’s Sophie it’s just that he isn’t conscious of the fact that he knows because he’s literally mixing up conversations he’s had with her as Sophie and her as the Girl in Silver 😭😭😭

Also, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt guys because this man has already asked Sophie, on multiple occasions, if they know each other and she’s the one who said “no”. He intuitively knows okay. He just doesn’t know.

I already love this season second only to S2. And I’m just on episode 2.

It’s honestly such an easy and scintillating watch and has made me realise how try-hard and weird S3 was. S1 was never my favourite, I actually found it a tad icky, S3 was a little… hard to like. S2 was BELLISSIMO and S4 is BELLLISSSIMOOO MAX!!!!

I absolutely LOVE the focus on the help this season. Even last season, their perspective had started trickling in but this is GORGEOUS and I absolutely adore every single one of them.

The way the show is progressing towards darker elements is very similar to how they did HP. The first movie was so focused on light and fluffy, cut to Deathly Hallows and we were all squinting trying to watch the screen.
