I RAN AS SOON AS I HEARD THE APOLLO CASTING WAS ANNOUNCED
celebrating ficitonal character's bday is mandatory in this household so happy birthday percy jackson!
Percy any time one of his friends is in the slightest bit of danger:
Mind you, book purists whined about Percabeth being "rushed" so much to the point that they cut MULTIPLE CANON Percabeth scenes (including the bubble scene! I don't care much for Percabeth but even I wanted to see the bubble scene!) to make Percabeth seem slower than it already was.
WE'RE NOT SEEING THINGS FROM PERCY'S SELF-DEPRECATING PERSPECTIVE ANYMORE! So of course, now that we aren't seeing things directly from Percy's eyes, Percabeth seems "rushed."
ANNABETH HAD CANONICALLY LOVED PERCY SINCE SHE WAS TWELVE!
PERCY JUST HATES HIMSELF.
the feeling when your lover from another universe looks exactly like your doomed brother figure
YOU GUYS PLEASE TELL ME THAT THIS IS CLARISSE LA RUE
The minute I hear 'Riptide' in this show is the minute I ascend to another plane of existence
Show dont Tell is very important in a tv show, movie...., and watching Percy Jackson, it felt like they didnt really follow this advice.??....during some of the dialogue (though delivered well because the cast is amazing okay!) i was literally cringing internally because yeah, sure they were telling us a lot of things (not so subtlety) but what does it bring??? why are you telling us that??? the events and talking are just... kind of happening flatly???
