After a start to a weekend where I was sung over prophetically and hearing the words and heart of Jesus for me and His truths for my life, I feel filled with a newfound love for Jesus.

He is living and he wants to sing over us all. He knows us deelpy and intimately and he longs for relationship with us. He patiently waits for us each morning hoping that we would look to him for the big and the small decisions and even the everyday chats.

Seek God today. Make time for God today!! He is the one that understands you best. He is waiting for you...how long will you keep him waiting.

May this be true in my life especially over this festive season. My prayer is that my heart would be set on the gift of Jesus and his great love for me and that i would not be caught up in the mindset of the world where the focus over this time is on materialistic gifts. May i worship Jesus with all my heart and soul as i am reminded of the real reason we celebrate this season - Jesus.

A Testimony on a Tuesday

I am overwhelmed by God's provision!

Today the Lord opened doors for my friend and I to rent an apartment that is way more than we could ask for. The place is WAY above our price range but then the Lord steps in to seal the deal at a rental fee within our budget. Praise the Lord!!!

But, it doesnt end there. In God's elaborate outpouring of love and provision he continued to pour out his goodness and lavish me in His love.

What a reminder of how faithful the Lord is. He really does provide all we need at the right time (Ecclesiastes 3:1) and He is faithful to finish what He started (Philippians 1:6)

I had been so focussed on the blessing I had just received (the apartment) that I forgot about the fact that I did not have enough money for the deposit. So as I sat trying to work things out in my own strength , the Lord came through again and made a way for me to get the amount I needed and then takes it even further to leave me with exta money over and above what I needed for deposit!!!

Lord, words cant even begin to explain how in awe I am of Your work and ways!! Us of so little faith yet You love us still and continue to lavish us in blessings.

I love you Daddy Jesus!! Thank you for taking care of me who you call your daughter!

May the new place be one that shines Your love and glory to all who enter.

During these times of lockdown and restricted meeting, I have really just been reminded of the desires of my heart. It becomes so easy to lose hope when you have been in a period of waiting for so long (in my case, years) and sometimes we get to rocky places in our journey and we start to wobble. We start asking things like: Why me? Why do i have to wait? Have i done something wrong? Is it ever going to happen? It's so easy to get stuck in the swirl of these disheartening questions but this week i was just reminded, when reading Romans 4: 18 - 21, to keep hoping in our God who is able no matter what our situation may look like. I was reminded that God has a unique (and perfect) plan for each one of us and He is faithful to keep His promises for our lives. So if you find yourself in a place of waiting... keep heart and hope because GOD IS MORE THAN ABLE!!

Seek the Lord today!! He is our Father longing to hear from us and pour his love out on us. No matter what you are feeling, what you have done, what you have ... Jesus calls only that you come to him with all your heart soul and mind. His arms are open, waiting to hear from you. He loves you!!!

I have been so aware of God's still, small voice calling me to intimacy with him today and i was just reminded (and convicted) that it is so important to set time aside to be with our Abba father.

Jesus would you come and shape me to reflect you and these attributes more and more each day. Would you ignite a flame of desire within me that longs to be in your presence daily!! Amen.

This week I have been reminded of the goodness of God. I received 2 prophetic words from 2 different people who hardly know me and the words were both spot on and so similar. It just made me realise that God loves his children deeply and that not only will he use others to speak truth over us but he will use us as a vessel to prophesy over others if we just make ourselves available. #JesusYouAreGood #ILoveYouLord

As the world has shifted to and online platform, my days have been filled with glowing screens and video calls sprinkled with blocks of faces. Being a teacher who is able to keep doing what i love and to still have the opportunity to see 'my kids' faces every day has been such a blessing. Often we put aside the work and just have a laugh as we all try grapple with the vast world of technology. Sometimes though, i forget that this is all a blessing and that i am surrounded by many more blessings. Sometimes i allow frustration and negativity to creep closer than it should ( especially with all the negativity being spoken out around us every day). Today though, the winds of negativity snuck through my little open windows. I felt frustrated and tired and just plain annoyed at the fact that it was Wednesday which meant we as a church had home cell. All i could focus on was that this was yet anther 2 hours of being glued to a screen and talking some more which i had been doing all day. I felt the thoughts of joining and not joining battling in my mind until suddenly i felt God drop a reminder into my spirt that He is our source of strength and hope and that we must keep our guard up for the enemy who prowls around like a roaring lion. I was reminded to keep my eyes on the things of the Kingdom and not allow the enemy to come taint my vision. So, I joined our home cell video call and i was further reminded that Jesus is our rock and that it is when we fellowship with saints that we receive encouragement and strength and are able to overcome the enemy. It is amongst the body of Christ that our vision is focused again. So may this be a reminder to all that when you feel tired, frustrated, overwhelmed or any other emotion,turn the Jesus because he is the lifter of our heads. #JesusWeLoveYou #grace

I have always considered myself to be a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ. However, in October 2013 I came to the realisation that being Christian was so much more than just a word. It was here that I decided to surrender completely - I gave my heart over to the will of the Father and I got baptised. It was difficult at first because my image of a father was one that was very unpleasant. As the Abba father began working in my heart I started to realise His overwhelming love for me. He started correcting the distorted view that I had developed of a father. I developed a hunger and desire to know more, read more, and experience more of God and the presence of the Holy spirit (which I read of in the Bible but did not fully understand) in my life.

There is so much more to share and that is what I aim to do on this blog. I aim to share my spiritual journey with all who wish to share it with me and hopefully help those who are feeling stuck or unsure because Jesus loves us all as his children - not one of us is excluded from his invite into his presence. The difference between who I was and who I am now is not anything I have done or earned, the difference is that I chose to finally open and accept God's invitation which is his free gift.

Yes it is not always an easy road to walk (being Christian) as people will judge you and you will be tempted but I have found that a glimpse of the goodness of God and a minute in His presence makes all the challenge and resistance worth it...Our God is more than worth it!!!

I woke up with the lyrics of this song in my head and as i became aware of what I was singing I was reminded of the endless love of Jesus and the cost he paid...it was and still is all for us. Jesus as these lyrics say...
