What is Living London?
Over the years I’ve stumbled upon a myriad of awe inspiring places across London- within these places I’ve often met extraordinary people with stories both unique and inspiring. I set up this website to share the everyday explorations, experiences, encounters and imaginings that make up my London, the city I love and I live.
I also lead wanders around London. Living London ‘wanderings’ offer you the opportunity to explore parts of London that remain relatively unknown and under-explored. Each wander will often include visits to various secret gems around London. Check out the wanderings page for upcoming walks.
How to use this site
Living London is made up of a collection of London places, photographs, stories, descriptions and poems. It’s designed to inform and to inspire. The best way to use this website is to click EXPLORE——& to see where you end up!

Greenwich Peninsula
the jetty at twilight, a bullet from a shooting star, a slice of reality, swaying reeds, silent quarries, dirt mountains, trash peaks, a seal in the river....
Greenwich Peninsula, Night Wandering
Bedfont Lake
time alone with the swans, the planes take off overhead, mine and theirs, inside the moody grey and white sky...
Bedfont Lake, Hatton Cross
CJ at Music Specialists Reggae Shop, Tooting Market
Carrie’s Mosaic House
She made me a cup of tea and sat down and we talked for some time, we talked about her mosaic house, about life and death and art and stuff... and then I wandered around her back garden alone, and it was pretty spectacular, all of it... the kindness of wondrous strangers, the lessons and stories, the connection to space, to justice and to hearts...
Mosaic House, Chiswick
Archway Bridge
a cold winters night, city lights graced the horizon, SOS a red phone box, a bunch of red roses, archway bridge, also known as suicide bridge. I took photos from it, watched the cars and buses zip through, traced light trails, sometimes life fails, us, in ways we can’t recover... in the cover, of darkness- life/ slipped away

Kew Gardens
Walthamstow Wetlands
Atlantis Art Materials
a material wonderland, filled with colour, paints and varnishes, oils and inks
Atlantis Art Materials, Old Street
Tate Britain
reflections in a puddle, home for christmas, but the doors were locked and there was no one inside...
Tate Britain, Pimlico
Hampstead Heath
Solitude, moonlight, shifting clouds and the city lights... distant, ever present. I stayed rooted on patch of grass on the heath, watching, feeling the coldness seep into my bones...
