I wanted to share something with you all that I experienced on my recent vacation. Unfortunately it took an unexpected turn when I got sick and ended up in two different hospitals. But as I was trying to make my way back home, there were endless moments where I experienced God glory and wonder! All the trees, animals, and mountains and knowing He is mighty and always good.

But the two moments that struck me the most were the sun rising and the night sky. Seeing the sun rise through the mountains and slowly shining through the whole desert. It reminded me that His majesty reigns and that His promises echo. He is the King of all and it’s beautiful witnessing His grace. Always a Hallelujah from here below.

The next one was at night. In the middle of the desert the stars shine so beautifully. So many next to each other all across the heavens. All I thought about was the promise God made to Abraham that he would someday have as many descendants as the stars. I just reflect back that He never fails us, He never makes a promise He doesn’t keep. He always meets us right where we are. His beauty and splendor are just truly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

He never stops surprising me and in so many ways, it is a beautiful thing I am thankful I get to witness. Even in the storm He is continuously reminding me that I am not alone. That no matter what I face in my life He is always greater. Forever thankful to have a Heavenly Father who loves me unconditionally.

I have times when I feel very lonely and depressed. I'm only human and sometimes my emotions take control over my life. When I start to feel that way I usually move away from God. And then I feel even more depressed and lonely. Satan wants us to feel that way. He wants to separate us from God's peace but God is bigger. When you struggle with doubt don't move away from God but come closer to him. Tell him about it. God is bigger than our doubt and our bad thoughts about ourselves. He knows our pain and our dreams. He is the supernatural God, he knows everything that's in your heart. Don't let emotions control your life. Open your Bible, speak to him and worship. He cares about you. He loves you.

To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.
