OOC / FUGLY MOBILE POST : oh my god I have been locked out of my accounts since last month (twice, it’s a long story), and then my laptop broke after getting water damaged, and I lost YEARS of rp resources as well as literally all of my logins and passwords (which I’m still working on recovering sadly)

But I managed to finally get into most of my tumblr accounts finally !

So friends, I deeply apologize for such a long absence. Trust me, it has not been a fun time. I’m working on getting my laptop replaced too which hasn’t been easy. I deeply miss writing on here, but seeing as I can’t until I have a new laptop, I am unfortunately stuck writing on discord and Twitter for now.

BLOG UPDATE / REBOOT : hi, is anyone still here ? I sure hope so... I've been gone for about, what? two years now, and I feel ready to return back to this blog now that I've been on my other blogs for the last few months.

The idea of moving blogs and re-starting from scratch feels like torture to me, so I'll be slowly cleaning up things around here. I may or may not write before I get new graphics ( I have yet to decide that ) but I will definitely be around to plot, and I will be on discord to write too !

I'm excited to be back.

a  long  vacation  could  be  nice,  but  it  consistently  feels  like  the  pause  before  the  fall  when  he  takes  into  consideration  that  he'll  have  to  return  eventually.

It was funny how just about anyone else was allowed to take a break if they so pleased. Young adults took gap years before college, but the second Julian wanted to take time for himself, there'd be a million rumored speculations as why in the world he could possibly want a break from the spotlight. Maybe he was in rehab for 'exhaustion', had he gone broke? Or worse, maybe he was irrelevant now.

She considers his day dreams again for a few moments. What was the point in arguing with a reasonable wish? Continuing to drive, the wind blowing at the stray whisps of her hair, she hums out, finger tapping the wheel before she speaks. ❛  What would happen if you packed your bags right now and... I don't know, just booked a trip to Vegas or Hawaii? Stayed for a few months? Stayed on private property somewhere? Used the excuse that you were writing your next album, but you just relaxed?  ❜

Chaotic for me this last year. I am ready for the summer. ACTIVITY ACROSS MY BLOGS: hi friends !  i know things have been a little bit quiet for me, and for that i apologize. reminder to everyone that my activity is sporadic, and based on muse, and just how much time i have in general... i have actually been busy over on my star wars blog(s) ! if you feel up to writing with me over there, my @'s are naboochose & hopescorned. i'll do my best to be here more this upcoming week, but i've been stressing over finals and some irl bull-crap.

he  pretends  they're  running  away  together  as  buildings  and  other  cars  whip  past.  that  at  the  end  of  the  trip,  they'll  split  a  house  somewhere  in  the  middle  of  nowhere  that  has  an  actual  garden;  none  of  that  potted  plant  shit.  odette  will  take  the  attic  to  work  on  her  art  and  julian  will  take  the  basement  to  make  music  in.  they'll  have  a  dog  and  take  it  into  town  with  them  when  they  need  to  make  supply  and  grocery  runs,  and  when  people  ask  if  they're  a  couple  they'll  turn  to  look  at  each  other  in  unison  and  make  the  most  disgusted  faces  possible  before  laughing  and  going  about  their  day.

the  daydream  dissipates  like  smoke  at  odette's  words  and  julian's  mind  tunes  back  into the  present.  bummer.

Odette allows herself to be quiet for a minute. Julian's relationship with the general public was... Complicated to say the least. And with what had happened to him in the past, what with the scandal—— yes, that scandal... Odette couldn't really blame him for how he felt. For how he just wanted things to be simpler than this.

He wasn't asking for much either. Decency and respect go a long way, but it seems to be a rarity these days.

Sighing out, Odette turns the radio back on to fill the growing void before speaking up again ❛  It's your life, who says you can't move to Kentucky ?... But is that what you really want ? Kentucky of all places ? At that point, just move to Ohio.  ❜

         Samael likes to tip well     ——    he was a cashier at a fast food place before he became famous, so he gets having to deal with entitled assholes and knows he can easily come across as one... He's a celebrity, and most people either love them or hate them... There's rarely a grey zone. 

         So, he tries his best to be as polite as possible. 

         ...Which clearly isn't getting him very far, so he decides his time here is spent. Just as he's getting ready to leave, the bartender asks him a question, and he can't help but blink in response.     ❛❛   Huh. You really don't know me...   ❜❜     It's a statement, murmured, offered with slight awe and amusement. Even if they aren't fans, a lot of people know him... It Sorta comes with being famous... He's used to being hated more than unrecognized.

It was true. Celebrities and the people they surrounded themselves with often came off as entitled dick-heads with nothing better to do than blast through their unvalued money every night. Even the ones who were clad in leather and crust pants. So, maybe it's not that Samael came off as an asshole solely because he was a traveling musician— whom Odette knew nothing about, but rather it was his timing. And Odette was nice to no one who strutted through the doors this close to closing. She had a fresh bottle of red wine waiting for her upstairs, and she didn't intend on being any later than she had to be. Poker-face is kept, though her intrigue was clear as he seemed to be someone who she should've known. Odette was never impressed by celebrities, she saw them as people who didn't have to work half as hard to earn a few dollars. Maybe it was jealousy, or maybe it was her simply seeing them as human rather than a God, who really knew? Crossing her arms as she leans against the shelving behind her, his grin was contagious, but she wasn't so willing to budge just yet. He was meant to be made an example of... Yet here she was being nosy and unwilling to admit it. ❛  Did you play next door or something? It's usually packed here after a show finishes...  ❜

Mylene can have the patience for the right people, she knew where to give it and where she didn't ; or really some people just get on her nerves easier then others - but that's besides the point. She allows Odette to get the words out. "Understandable. We all need a place to start. How about, I, ask Sky to help and we see if anyone else may know where he's gone."

She knows Sky wouldn't mind helping out, and with their combined years and networks ; surely they would be able to find something out there. Even if it ends up just a crumb. "Then, when we get something - we can plan better. I can wrap the world around you to have you play out all the scenarios in your head to find the best one. Kill him, maim him - whatever your heart desires."

It had happened so quickly, so recently. The wounds on her body hadn't even fully began scabbing quite yet, and already her boots had hit the ground running, almost immediately after she woke back up. It shouldn't have happened, none of this. And even though it had, Odette shouldn't be awake right now, yet she was. That's what hurt the most. This was a punishment for a crime she didn't mean to commit. Quickly nodding at Mylene's suggestion, she'd let the other girl take the lead on this idea. Who was Odette to say no? Especially now when her state of mind was... Not in the best state. She was too emotional, and too confused to really understand what it is she was after. ❛  Who's Sky?  ❜ She dares to ask, not to question her authority, but rather for more context.

She did though, to some extent... This was all very new to her, and to be fair? Odette didn't really have very many friends, and it wasn't a surprise to them when she happened to drop off the face of the earth every so often. That's just how she was. Truth was, Odette was one of those few... With cravings who didn't have anything to lose. At least that's how she often felt. She wasn't as careful as Chloe seemed to be. ❛  That's fair,  ❜ she nods a little, ❛  There's not really an easy opener with it. Not that I've found, anyways...  ❜

           His eyes lazily track the bartender's movements, and they widen a fraction at the sight of the tiny shot glass set before him, his brows shooting upwards as he stares openly at it. A slow smile curves his lips as she splashes in some vodka, and he's snickering at her reply as he plucks the small glass off the counter.     ❛❛   And I thought America was generous with its portion sizes...   ❜❜     He drawls, amusement coloring both his tone and the crooked grin on his face. Wasting no more time, he shoots the alcohol back with hardly a wince, licking his lips as he sets the empty shot glass back on the counter.

          He tilts his head at the bartender, before picking up on her rather sour mood and offering an apologetic smile that he knows will do little to soften the sting of his presence.      ❛❛   I'm truly sorry for coming in so late, my show just ended    ——   and dear god, I needed a drink.   ❜❜     He explains with an exasperated sigh, pushing a hand through his dark curls before fishing his wallet out of his back pocket. He's content to just stand outside and smoke, now... He can drink when he gets back to the hotel room... Samael places a twenty on the counter, flashing a charming smile at the bartender.     ❛❛   My apologies, once again.   ❜❜

Okay, maybe Odette could sympathize with the alcohol cravings, my God did she understand that, but it's not like she could back down now anyways, and did she really want to? Sometimes pulling out the jack-ass card was easier than being nice. And friendliness only meant she was welcoming him to kick his feet up on the counter and stay as long as he pleased, which... was not the goal. Her own eyebrows raise at the sight of a twenty dollar bill being placed on the counter, which only goes to churn the few contents in her stomach... Guilt. Did he really have to be a kiss ass? They were strangers, not like they owed each other anything, much less kindness. Letting the silence take over for a moment, she considers her next words carefully. ❛  You're in a band or something?  ❜

Quiet and gentle snort leaves Odette at Julian's explanation. Of course, she knew him well enough by now to know that the truth was more complicated than what he was willing to give her, but she wasn't willing to lecture him right now. And besides, who was she to tell him off about kicking people out after a quick shag? She did the exact same thing to her guests after the itch got scratched. Emotional connection? Who needs it, it's messy, and not even the fun kind of messy.

Lifting the glass, Odette brings it to her lips to take a sip, she shakes her head after the swig, class clinking onto the counter again. ❛  You think I have friends now?  ❜ she questions jokingly, ❛  Nope, just me tonight.  ❜ Odette hums out, popping the 'p'.
