Wiping off the counter with a wet rag, Odette was finishing up cleaning for the night when the door opened, black combat boots walking through the door as Motörhead softly hummed in the background. See the holy, righteous dogs, they claim to heal, but all they do is steal.

Continuing his path of movement, Odette's eyes scanned his figure. Dark jeans, vest, dark shirt, messy mop of hair... She didn't recognize him, he definitely hadn't been here before. Why is He silent? Is He blind? Are we abandoned in the end?

golden bubbles receive a splash of sunshine between them before the waiter departs and she slips hand under the mimosa. ❛ thanks for coming to brunch, ❜ she flashes a smile, this one notably lacking any viciousness, as she is wont to do. among the vast sea of false friends, kitty had proven to stand herself out. maybe not privy to all secrets, but certainly to many of them. ( you aren't really able to place it, but she's certainly a bird of a feather ). ❛ did you see the photos raquel posted from her family trip to hamptons ? who's that guy she was with ? ❜ legs cross and she leans forward just a little.

WAYLON HOLLIS: MAY I HAVE THIS DANCE? everyone was gone for the evening, except the two of them. hannibal's home holds only remnants of the dinner party he had hosted. the wait staff he had hired to serve his guests were now cleaning up the dining room ; hannibal had to worry about very litte, now that the night was over. soft music still plays throughout the space, a mellow but cheery classical piece that hannibal hummed softly to himself. he means to assess his home once it is all cleared out, then retreat upstairs with waylon, but it seems the florist had other ideas, as he holds out a hand for hannibal to take. 'you may,' amumsent colors the doctor's features, setting down his wine glass in favor of taking waylon's hand and pulling him closer. they begin to sway, hannibal taking the lead, one palm against waylon's own, the other finding its place at his waist. grin is given down to the other man, genuinely soft. 'it was good to see you so lively this evening. and good to see you smiling. i hope you enjoyed yourself, waylon. you deserve happiness,' @goofily.

❝ you're not like the other ones, ❞ he gasps, voice rough against the hunting knife pressing down against his throat. downed by a well-aimed swipe of the blade, jake stares the wolf mask hovering over him in the eyes. expressionless animal reflects the flickering lights overhead, flecked in dirt, blood — like a wild mirror of himself. it's taking most of his strength to keep the serrated edge from drawing blood, as the killer's weight presses his spine, painful, into the broken tiles of the storehouse below.

he searches the pale mask — for what he's sure is just a human behind the cut-out eyes. ❝ you... you let us go, sometimes. ❞ he's not going to beg for his life. he was beyond the part of his time here where that mattered to him much, anymore. instead he poses underlying question, letting his white-knuckle grip on the killer's wrist weaken a fraction. enough where he could bring that knife down on him easily, now. if he wanted to.

jane hasn't been back in hawkins long , but they had heard about what had happened to carmen's brother while they were gone . guilt wracks her , though she knows deep down there's nothing she could have done .

chatter has died down & jane sees carmen sitting alone outside the cabin . sadness blooms in her chest & she disappears into the kitchen to make the other a cup of tea . taking it outside , they hold it out for carmen .

❝ would you like to be alone ? ❞

eyes of a stranger rest upon her rather than piercing through , freezing ghostly girl to her spot . for a moment , she questions if it's possible for a spirit to experience lapses in sanity -- to lose a mind one no longer possesses . please , no , prays ethel to herself ( she cannot trust them with anyone else ) the memories are already more torment than i can bear .

trembling lips part , sapped of their rosy hue in death , words escaped bruised throat in a whisper : ❛ y - you . . . you can see me ? ❜
