Avatar "Crying Fire" illustration

Tooke me 4 days! some wips and moodboard under break!

i took screenshots of the entire Crying Fire Music Video lol, then used that to determine the color palette then in 1-2h I drew a rough digital painting of the idea did the bg, then the head, on which I adjusted proportions and angles, ans started rendering the colors smooth. Once the head was fully rendered smooth color, I added some hatching! then color correcting with saturation/brightness/contrast levels!

Avatar makes me so happy like nothing else. Absolute legend of a band. Sickass sounds, distinct melodies, diverse subject matters, sophisticated lyrics, delicately balanced ratio of growls and beautiful clean vocals, unmatched manic energy at live shows, incredible showmanship, and perfect chemistry between all bandmates. No star ego, no dramas, no controversies, just fun, passion and good vibes all around.

God I love them silly boys so much. They have so much on and off stage content, and I have yet to see a single bad one.
