Daft fic readers please bear with me I have been going through it this month. I’ve started writing the new chapter but I have been BURNT.

I get removed from my parents insurance at the end of the month so I’ve been in and out of the dentist every week for the past month and a half trying to get the rest of my dental work done because my parents and I thought I had until the end of the year, which turned out to be false.

Everything hurts and writing hasn’t been on my mind, but rest assured I will keep posting when I can. I believe daft fic will be coming to a natural end soon.

I’m seeing a lot of discussion going around about people running fan fics from ao3 through an ai detector and id like to remind yall that for one ai detectors aren’t accurate and two, I will never use ai and have never used ai.

If for some reason my fics get sent through an ai detector, remember that I have always had the no ai and anti ai tags on my work since before I began writing and that my tumblr blog here has multiple reposts that are anti ai.

I think it’s clear my stance on ai usage at this point, but for those that are unaware then I’d like to say it here:

I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER USE AI

I go out of my way to use a writing website to avoid hidden ai usage. I use Ellipsus and often times will share my wips in discord for those that want to watch me write or edit. Google Docs and Microsoft word have countless times been using ai hidden or not and have admitted to feeding people’s documents to their generative ai systems.

My writing will never go back to Microsoft and Docs. Neither will I be using ai for ideas, help writing, or editing. If that means my next chapter has to come out in a month or two then so be it.
