today is the ten year anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting. a full decade ago, i lost a friend and a coworker. i was lucky. i had friends that lost several people. today, please remember and fight for all those that have died to live the life they should have been free to. i'll always remember you, Cory.

Hello Tumblr long time no post.

Congratulations are in order, for Shion is our first playable female omnic (since echo and orisa were created after the awaking)Rammatra, Zenyatta, bastion, and , b.o.b (technically) are the only playable ominics that were awakened after Aurora's sacrifice At first I had assumed she was just like genji and sojourn Being just a cybernetic human Assuming that she was a part of the clan before the Awakening, I'm curious to know what was her purpose for the clan at the time and what made her rise in the actual ranks inside of said clan.Also assuming, with her comment towards sojourn, perhaps she does not hold humans to the same bar as herself, even though ironically she looks virtually human. As well as her Fringe particularly hiding her forehead symbols. As though she wants to appear human. I'm also curious to know whether her guns were custom made by kiriko's father as well as what's her animal of choice. Or perhaps it's a demon entirely 🤔

It's interesting how we're ALREADY sympathizing with shion, I luv we the viewers are already seeing her the world that was possibly laid out for her.

I like(and hate) how we're already assuming the worst.

As an omnic (comparing her to the others) we know they haven't had the BEST come up with their history and how the world viewed them ( thinking about it, bastion was VERY lucky to have been found by torbjorn, and not the public)

As for her being female, we can all simply guess just how "welcoming" and "fair" and "respecting" her life was after she awakened. That was sarcasm.

As for her line saying the world showed her hate, her tough guy persona is most likely who she had to become. Her human like appearance is likely what she had to show outwardly to be taken seriously. How much you want to bet she's the only omnic in a position of power in the clan or in even her country. Her being female makes her journey and accomplishments that more impressive. No I'm not trying to be misogynistic, history has shown us that women have been being disrespected since we can remember. Hell, she's our first FEMALE OMNIC character. She's most likely as old as zenyatta and Rammatra, since bastion was made later for the war. She probably has faint memories of her time before awakening (like zen) but instead of looking for a higher power for guidance like our boys, she stayed in country and fought tooth and nail for an ounce of respect and/or power.

Obviously this is all speculation it's just what I'm assuming is the reason for her perspective and how she treats mizuki. If you look at how tough characters that give out tough love to their loved ones are usually brought out. It's usually because the world gave them nothing and they had to fight. Perhaps she wanted a child of her own somebody she wanted to make strong, maybe even a predecessor, someone she cud finally trust and love. Honestly I'm most interested to see how she interacts with Ana.

A small PS but I'm enjoying the women (Vendetta , Domina, and now Shion) charge we're getting as of late
