Revisiting a 2013 trip to north and east London
Back in 2013 my partner and I visited various places in north and east London - idle architecture ogling with market stops - it was a stimulating mix of buildings, atmospheres and history; from Edwardian public baths in Kentish Town, a pioneering farm project on Dalston Lane, Dalston Eastern Curve gardens and on to the Tudor, National Trust-owned Sutton House in Hackney, across the road from a block of council flats called Marion House, still occupied on our visit but now due for demolition; it’s so weird to find these buildings within spitting distance of each other (see photos below of Tudor Sutton House and the neighbouring flats). Finally further east to the fringes of the Olympic Park. Although I posted some photos on Flickr, there was more detail I wanted to add but couldn’t include links and further info on Flickr. Now I’ve started re-using this blog it seemed a good way of expanding on the Flickr pictures, so here are a few sample photos plus more info in the links.
