Yet Another Update

Hello all! How is life treating you?

My life has been incredibly hectic. I am about to move for the 3rd time in 3 years, but this next home should be my home for a long time, hopefully. And I’m not moving states this time or even cities, so it’ll be nice!

I’m very excited to set up a place for my dolls again. The last 2 places I’ve stayed, I’ve had to have almost all my AG stuff in storage or in my closet, so I haven’t taken them out much. That will hopefully change!! 

I’ll update again once I move and then start taking photos again :D

Anyone who’s thinking of commenting on AG’s post in Instagram, please be careful. I’m being harassed because people having nothing better to do but attempt to trigger trans people who criticize a doll brand 😂

Just block and move on, but if anyone is sensitive to that kind of thing, please make your safety a priority.

Naturally, transgender, nonbinary, and Jewish fans, as well as fans of color are furious about this. Not only are JK Rowling's ideas offensive and dangerous, they directly contrast with American Girl's values.

Josefina loves it out here in Arizona, since it’s closer to her original home in New Mexico! Phoenix is much hotter but she doesn't mind.

I have wanted this outfit of Addy's for quite a while, but it's a bit expensive these days, so I didn't hold out much hope of ever being able to own it. But last year I happened to find the hat at quite an affordable price by itself and then, just last week, I was perusing Ebay late at night and saw a listing for the dress at the sort of low price that makes one feel slightly bad for the seller. Being a night owl does pay off occasionally!

The dress arrived just in time for Addy's birthday today too.

Update!

I’ve moved back in with my parents in Arizona, so now all my dolls are reunited! And Lizzie and Kendall are meeting Kirsten for the first time :O

I’m inspired to take photos of the girls again, and spend more time dressing them up and creating scenes. I think when I was living with my brother, not only was I working full-time but I was also feeling like I needed to be doing “grown-up” things and neglected my dolls.

Taking time off in between jobs to try to get off of one of my medications (the withdrawals are so bad that I can’t be working while I taper) so I’ll have lots of time to spend with my dolls.

Also, unrelated, but at the end of 2021 I started testosterone! My mental health and self confidence have gotten much better since then because I feel more like myself.
