This has been said by many folks before me, and I think that most people who have tipped their toes into modding are very well aware of this, but I thought it might be interesting to read for those who aren't aware or don't really understand.
If you have a broken HAIR or GEAR mod, you can update it yourself easily, quickly, and with no risk to your game files.
Very short guide under the cut!
This is ONLY for hair and gear, but you do not need to wait for modders to update these, nor do you need to pay people to do it for you.
All you need to do is to download Textools, and run their automatic updater. Official download can be found here.
Textools used to not be recommended for mod users as it changed your mod files directly. Textools now come in safe mode by default, a mode in which it will not change your game files. Changing your game files can still be done for those who want to, but updating a modpack does not touch game files at all.
Once you have textools installed and open, all you need to do is this :
Then, you can simply click on the file you want to update, and textools will make a new modpack for you, which you can put into penumbra.
It's that easy!
Some mods might look a bit different due to the new shaders, but this should be able to fix most gear/hair mods. Do not try this on any mod other than gear or hair.
Finally, if you use an upscale which is dependent on an original mod for the textures, you will need to upgrade the original mod.

I would like to personally plug Intimate Rose dilators and pelvic wand. Their dilators are made of silicone which is more comfortable flexible than a lot of other dilators that are made of either hard plastic or metal. They also have an ergonomic handle that can be swapped between different sizes of dilator. They have a vibrating pelvic wand as well, but I haven't tried it.
There's also the Ohnut which is a silicone ring that is worn over a penis (though I'm sure it can be worn over a strap as well, but the reason it exists- you could just wear a different strap) to prevent deep penetration that is painful for the person being penetrated.
