Guys...I can’t believe no one told me how insanely powerful Lio is.

I went to see Promare under the assumption that Lio was just as powerful as any other burnish, maybe a little more because he’s the leader. I assumed his abilities could be matched by any other burnish who spent enough time honing their powers, but I was so wrong about that. (Spoilers ahead!)

Lio would have defeated Galo (when Meis and Guiera failed) if the rest of Burning Rescue hadn’t come in. He broke out of those frozen handcuffs like they were nothing, despite them being designed by a burnish who knew how to neutralize their powers. He took a freezing bullet to the heart that was designed to freeze the more he tried to burn and crushed it with his fingers. He could’ve destroyed the entirety of Promepolis if Galo hadn’t stopped him. Kray deemed his fire powerful enough to fuel the core by itself when it had previously needed thousands of burnish to power it. Lio’s fire was also controlled enough to protect without harming, even when the entire world went up in flames (a subtle strength, but a poignant one).

Lio was capable of destroying the world and everyone who scorned him, he could have achieved everything Kray desired. And yet, at every chance he could get, he risked his own life for someone else’s.
