i recently got together with some of my friends and they brought their little cousins along to hang out with us. she was pretty much babysitting her cousins so we figured why not bring them with us. mind you her cousins are ten and eleven. i haven't hung out with children before so this was very new to me, but i had such a fun time hanging out with them. we went to target and bought them this cardboard ice cream truck, which i was very amused by because why the fuck didn't i have this growing up? anyways, once we put the cardboard ice cream truck together, one of my friend's cousins gave me a fake wallet with fake credit cards and i told her i wanted to buy her ice cream truck.. she told me i was broke and all my cards declined.. i tell you kids and their imaginations always find a way to pull at my heartstrings. @limelightblvdstarters
My girls would love that. They do have a whole food cart, which is similar. We took all those credit card offers and junk letters and pulled those little cards out and they use them for credit cards. It was really cute. I thought we were gonna end up with a full kitchen, but then an art studio took over. They are amazing though. I love watching them work, and I'm ever the connoisseur of pretend food.
now that i've spent five weeks doing nothing but watching football, how does one move on from the world cup?? do i have to pick a professional team to support now or what? while my team didn't make it too far, i loved wearing my Brazil jersey and repping my culture. does anyone else feel more patriotic while watching sports or is it just me? i haven't felt this Brazilian in a long time. / @limelightblvdstarters
I don't really know how that part works, but do whatever you feel is good for you. I follow baseball which I always have, but that is more layered in community. I'm a Dodgers guy, season tickets and everything. The world series was awesome. I even got to throw a first pitch - I can't throw well but it was so much fun. Anyway, you just kind of find something that sticks, at least from my experience.
Hold on, I think my brain's glitching. MCR is on tour? Right now? I'm having such a bad case of fomo. Oh man, this is making me want to throw caution to the wind and forget my responsibilities in favor of catching a show. Um, ideally, something that would help me walk around unrecognizable. That's my one requirement, really.
Yeah, we are back at it. I mean, we've been out here last year, took a few months off and went back out. We are in Europe and will be back in the US next month. Come catch a show. I promise it's a whole event. I'm bad at being completely unrecognizable. There was that time we did Aquabats but you don't really want to see that. It was fun though.
If you had to choose, what are your top 3 favorite Disney movies? I feel like there are no wrong answers here. Well, unless someone says Bambi. That's just sad…and it makes me worry about this hypothetical person. @llmikey
Wow there are so many good ones out there, and we have crazy season passes that get used, but okay. Toy Story has a special place just because it was the first of its kind, or one of them. Pixar added a new layer and depth to what was already great. We can also talk about the hidden gem that is the Emperor's New Groove. My girls love The Little Mermaid over Frozen and the original over live action. Frozen is still good though. The movie that just kills me in feels is Up and the beginning sequence. I will also give a nod to my childhood favorite, even though it didn't belong to Disney originally - The Muppet Movie. I was born in 1980 and that was huge. I do love the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, but I don't count them here. How about you?
i do feel like you are probably not alone with that. all of the attention can be a lot. nothing wrong with finding that comfort zone and living there. you can't? not even a little? that's surprising to me. everyone went nuts when you guys came back, myself included. thank you! i was honored i was able to do that. i think that helped some get to discover me. thank you! i would have loved to do something with all of you.
Sadly, Gee got all the vocal talent. Ray and Frank handle harmonies and they are actually really good. I'm a wanderer onstage anyway, so I'll slip in anywhere, and that kind of works since I don't want to be restricted to one area. Back in the early days, we'd rehearse and I'd miss my cues when to move back to my original location or whatever. That was the other reason or at least how it started. I'm a lot more aware now. I think we were all waiting for my brother to decide it was time. He had a lot going on with comics and Umbrella Academy, and we were all involved in a whole list of side gigs. I don't think he realized his own influence, but once we were there, it felt good. That tribute you did definitely brought in new fans, and it was an honest tribute, so that made a difference. You have a long career. How long are you out on tour?
Haven't been to SDCC in ten years, and I'm so ready to geek out. I get to see my amazing costars, which is super fun, but I'm also very excited about getting into costume. Who should I dress up as, though?
I'm really bummed about not being able to go this year. We are on tour and won't have time. I've done some artist meet and greets for comics, and it was a blast. My brother has also done panels and booths. Our inner nerds come out to play. What kind of stuff are you into and how complex do you want a costume?
i always sort of wondered if you preferred not being at the center of everything. you are an amazing bass player, hope you know that. honestly my chemical romance as a whole had such an impact on me, and i think i've spoken about it more than once. not much, mate! just still on tour and enjoying it, did have a bit of a moment on the stage that is floating around all over the internet.
You know, you have these big dreams of just rocking the world, and then find out that you hate being in front of people. That was me. I was much more comfortable in back. The huge joke is I don't even get a mic - but I really can't carry a tune so it's pretty legit. Honestly, I never got comfortable being on a stage until we came back in 2022. Your tribute to Ozzy was awesome. I think the world was that much more aware of who you were. I've followed your stuff for awhile now. I would have loved to have you come out on tour with us.
I'm sure if you know my fiance, she's likely already told you, but! On the 4th of July, I proposed to my sweet, lovely lady, Valerie. We are getting married in October. But how was everyone else's 4th of July this year? How are everyone's headaches from all the drinking we all did right? @limelightblvdstarters
Congratulations! I bet you will both be pretty wedding crazy until then. I've been married twice and I've done a quick one backstage, and a big one with all the bells and whistles. It gets crazy but it's a good crazy. I don't drink anymore so my head was fine, but have one for me, you've got this.
perrieedwards: it’s my burthdayyyy!!! chapter 33 here we come :))
MikeyWay: Happy day of birth, and welcome to your next trip around the sun @perrieedwards
you seem like someone with the most amazing taste. we for sure will, can't wait for it.
So do you. Nerds get other nerds, and that is peak. We really do have to get together for any reason. We are currently in Europe then we will be back. Comicons will happen.

What genre have you been gravitating towards, lately? Oohhh, Pretty Woman's a classic! You can't go wrong with that choice.
I've been wandering through One Piece, and rewatching some anime, but I'm not really big on anything right now. I go in phases with watching stuff and I am back on the road, so anime will probably stick around while we are out here. What about you?
i've always wondered… do bass players secretly enjoy all the "nobody notices the bassist" jokes, or are you all just incredibly patient with the rest of us? feels like it's become an unofficial rule of being in a band. @llmikey
You know, it kind of is. I always wanted to be a musician, but I hated being out front, and I can't sing, so Gee put me on bass. Plus I didn't play anything else, so that seemed like the best choice. Looking back and pure dumb luck and this is what you get. So what's up with you? You've had a peak year.
I'm glad that you two are still close, especially for the kiddos. A child of divorce isn't the easiest thing to navigate. Where do you want to travel? I'm excited to be going back on the road in September, although I'm still putting together more tour dates. Gotta try and hit Europe again... maybe Australia if I can pull that off. Thank you. I'm a very happy lady.
I think we've handled it well and the girls seem happy. That's all I really care about. We just hit Europe, then we will be back in the states in August for awhile. I still need to do to an ice hotel and watch the Northern Lights, which is peak bucket list. How about you?
You're good, brotha. I respect effort which I know you did. I love LA and miss it but at least they got another ring. I'd kill for another one at this point. Oh yeah? I mean I've been here since 2024 in december. Its been different for sure but it's nice to wear a jersey my father also wore.
This is gonna sound stupid but I didn't even realize how far it really was. I did practice when we found out I was going to get the shot, but it was really awesome. Time is a weird thing. I guess it has been that long. When we are out on tour, time goes way too fast. Holy shit, I didn't even think about your dad. He was a former Yankee. He was a great baseman. I bet he was pretty happy with the trade then.
one piece or if we are going old school i love princess mononoke, what about you? i actually haven't found a new one in a while so if you have any recs, i will gladly take them. i love being a nerd. you have a whole comic collection? love that. yes, we can so make this happen.
You are saying magic words now. One Piece is great. Old school Death Note, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro. Princess Mononoke is great. I tell you what is all the rage but I really don't like - Demon Slayer. Anyway, once we are back in the US, we will.
