LMAOOOO I DID THAT MEME
i'm sure at some point in his late teenage years nacho felt uncomfortable chilling at domingo's or sleeping over because he would just feel that his parents didn't want him there, so eventually he stopped.
mmmmm tbh I actually think the exact opposite
I think Domingoās parents see Nacho as a second son and vice versa
and the the more trouble Nacho gets into at home with his dad the more time he spends at Domingoās house and his parents are absolutely happy to have him there so I can't conceive him thinking he's not welcomed
maybe Iāve been influenced by the fanfic Something Unattainable lolol (highly recommended reading)
if Nacho stops going to mingoās house as often I donāt think itās because he feels like heās bothering his parents but itās more about age: everyone has their own life, Nacho has his apartment, his girlfriends, and his job, and the same goes for Domingo. I mean itās a fact of life that as you grow up, adulthood makes you spend less time with your teenage/childhood friends
I really like this scenario too! It's just the tragedy of Mingo's parents being forced to keep Nacho - the kid they've known since he was a child and that they've welcomed for years on end at their house - distant from Domingo just speaks to me more on a personal level.
I think it's rather understandable that as parents, even if you love your son's friend to death, if said friend would start being really problematic, hanging out with the wrong people, you would want your son who has always looked up to him and admired him to not get involved in such things.
That's why I think that very slowly, maybe after Nacho dropped out of high-school (another HC of mine) and began getting involved with crime, Domingo's parents - though heart broken - kinda had to protect their own son from whatever Nacho was getting involved in.
I believe many interventions were tried, but Nacho, being his stubborn self, just minimized everything and avoided this type of confrontation, making it impossible for anyone to approach him. Especially parents. So... if you can't save both, you're just gonna try and save one of them (Mingo), especially if that one is YOUR son.
And yeah, age is absolutely a factor. Domingo went to university, Nacho began his own life... but maybe Domingo should have actually listened to his parents and stayed the fuck away from Nacho when it became obvious that he wasn't going to give up that life. But of course he didn't. And we know how that ended.
OH MY GODDDD I'M GONNA SOB THIS MAKES THEM EVEN MORE DOOMED
I mean I did think about Nacho being a really bad influence on Domingo (even though itās also Domingoās fault for getting dragged into it because I doubt Nacho is the one who insisted on him getting involved in the cartel, more like the other way around)
but I never considered that Domingo's own parents might see him that way as well......
ughh my poor Nachito⦠seeing the people closest to him lose hope in him :( my heart is absolutely broken right nowšæ
ššš I'M SORRY, I just love doomed relationships... and I couldn't waste the opportunity of breaking my heart (and everyone else's) with them as well.
And absolutely, actually I think Nacho forced himself to stay faraway from Mingo because he didn't want him to go down his same path (because of course that dumbass is going to do it when he sees Nacho doing it: āif that's what it takes to not be alone/to keep staying with you, I'll do itā. Mingo you're such an idiot š).
I believe Nacho really tried to end their friendship on purpose so that he wouldn't follow him around anymore or try to "make him see reason". But it didn't go very well. āYou're not going to get out of the cartel??? Okay, I'm joining it too š ā.
But yeah, Nacho + disappointing people + people just not bothering anymore = my heart shattered in a million pieces
I ALSO THOUGHT OF THATTTTT ITāS SO SADDDDDDD
Domingo thinking about what he couldāve done wrong for Nacho to distance himself from him,and trying to go to Manuel's upholstery shop while nacho asks his dad to tell him heās not there, when heās in the background staring over at him and domingo clearly see him AUGHHH MY POOR MINGUITO
And he keeps apologizing a thousand times for whatever he thinks he did (nothing) and Nacho using the silent treatmentā¦.I CANāT TAKE THIS ANYMORE
how does nacho pretend to keep his distance from Domingo when heās been following him around like a lost puppy everywhere since he was 6??

who works for who?
firm believer that Nacho loooooves kissing Mingo on the cheek and any excuse is a good excuse to kiss him
They say hi? Kiss. They say goodbye? Kiss. He's happy? Kiss. He's sad? Kiss.
