Hereโs My Multimuse!
hear-t-sโ:
โFirstly, if I may get this point out of the way before we continue-
fuck you.
Secondly, it sounds like you see some mortals as being disruptive- to say that we arenโt owed some measure of self-determinationโ or that we shouldnโt evolve- would you rob us of our free will, as well?
Youโre just like any other mortal tyrant. You talk about improving things towards the greater good- that removing your dissenters would somehow be of service to everyone- to the weak and the poor.
But, in this reality weโre playing fast and loose with, all you are is afraid. Youโre afraid of losing your authority, which you should be- youโre damn terrified that someone like me would sit at the same table you would. That a mortal might take control of their own existence and refuse to be erased just because you deem it necessary.
You would deny our growth just so you can rest easy knowing no one can question you, which is bullshit.
Feel however you want, Zamasu. Think whatever you want. But I will sit at your table.โ
Hearts waves a finger in his direction.
โBetter save a seat for me there, too.โ
โย Further misconception padded by your own ideas of what is and isnโt a god. and their purpose -- are all mortals of this present era's heads shoved so far into the dirt they walk upon that they think of themselves as some form of intellectual, when they have yet to conceive a single idea of value? Any mortal can be raised to the position of godhood, if selected by the agents beyond the Kais. โ
Zamasu brought his hands behind his back, and straightened his posture.
โ Make no mistake: I have no interest in tampering with the free wills of mortals, nor preventing them from determining for themselves what they do with their lives, save for that they should not, under any circumstance, determine and succeed in the destruction or utter domination of a galaxy, or beyond. Such a thing has effects far outside the scope of their potential comprehension while they be Mortal. Outside of that, you are created to struggle and behave as you will, and so you may. I too have no interest in the erasure of a people. If we reach past the visceral disgust I hold towards such an act, it would simply benefit neither me, nor any of you, in the end.
However, you are almost correct about a single thing: Gods are afraid. And of course they would be, because we were bidden to create and curate mortals by a single being -- A single master of all the multiverse, who I hinted at mere moments ago, above Kais, above Destroyers, and above reproach -- This being would erase us all without another thought, if mortals fail to please him, and gods continue to leave you as you are.
To prevent your growth into such beings like Emperor Frieza or Frost, would be to deny you the punishments for the mistakes of the past, which no being alive today is directly responsible for. It is such that you can be curated, as he intended, and that your lives may be spared, beyond the Universe where I originate, once the Grand Zen-oh looks upon you all again. This is mercy. โ
"It would be great if everyone was stupid and had no will of their own so that the gods could simply toss them about at will with the dumb reassurance that it's fine because it's what god wants.
But none of us live in that reality, and that reality is fucking stupid.
If mortals have worth- any worth at all- then their advancement and evolution shouldn't be a point of contention. If you fear the thing you created, then you aren't prepared to care for it.
The system has succeeded when it produces a means to thwart it- when it creates something larger than itself.
So smite me, if that makes you feel better."
โ An interesting perspective. But one lacking roots in reality, and thereby being fundamentally flawed.
The system does not exist for the free-rangedย โevolutionโ of mortalkind. It never did. Of course, those gifted with the power to dominate, and impose their will upon worlds would see it as otherwise, because they would need to conceive of some reason why they would be so powerful while others remain so weak. But it is little more than an error of the gods before your time, left uncorrected, and unobserved.
The system has failed, as what it produces has grown to disrupt the balance that keeps the universes from being smitten out of the cosmos by the entity which holds dominion over them all. These developments you are so proud of are those which do not please he who they are meant to. The gods have failed mortalkind miserably, which is why I must correct them. Gods and Mortals both.
This is why gods exist. Not to bring about their own will, but to see the larger picture, that which lies in the future, and bring about this greater will; tending to their wards, even if they are too ignorant right now to comprehend why it is that these changes must be brought about the way they are, or do not care to hear the explanation as to why. That is justice. โ
โ Many seek to defy righteous change in this world because it does not suit them that they should be equal to other beings in the multiverse -- a foolish notion, that any mortal should attain a means by which they may excel so far beyond their peers that they may decide, upon their whims alone, to take a role commonly observed among destroyer gods, and erase a people with ease.ย
Worse still are those who are lead by the aforementioned cretins, uninformed of that which they stand against, and molded until they were unwilling to learn -- like all those who are lead to their fall across all of the multiverseโs history, I mourn their fates. They are marched not only to the doom of those who would improve their conditions, but if they did, by some fleeting off-chance, succeed, they would seal their own demises by the ones whom rallied them into a frenzy at first.
This hardhearted ignorance, spread liberally across creation, only steels my resolve, and should steel yours as well. The will to stand against this unrelenting tide of cosmic proportions is the will worthy of gods, and one which should be armed with knowledge, cultivated with the righteous ideal of multiversal peace, and standing in opposition to these beings of fantastical capacities who use their powers for little more than their own twisted entertainments at the costs of others. Stand with me.ย โ
โ And thus... the cycle has begun anew, in my absence.ย โ
@lmmcrtal
"I will do anything for you."
โ I am eternally grateful for your service, my counterpart...ย
As tempting as it may become, surrendering to the interests of the self over the interests of the multiverse is the path of gods before us, and we must keep our greater goal ahead of our... emotions. โ
It occurs to me that the more I have Zamasu interact with anyone anywhere the more Likely it becomes that heโll slip towards canon and stop looking for his impossible miracle spells to warp reality with minimal bloodshed, and just kill everyone to get it over with -- it is an exceedingly rare occurrence for anyone to be talking to him non-violently with anything but the intent to One Up him or humiliate him or something, and eventually heโll just get sick of it and Take Action
โ ... No one is willing to change. No god, mortal, or spirit will turn from the course theyโve chosen for themselves. โ
โ Than why do I continue to try to change them -- What is it that I seek to achieve? Do I believe that they shall make an exception when presented with the reality of this world? Do I believe that they shall use the great intellects they have been gifted with to conceive of a solution other than this?
Is it only for the mere idea of having given oneโs all to save lives that I waste all of our time in this way?
Is that madness? โ
caelestexcervusโ:
โFor what reason? Do the gods truly care about what sort of thoughts we carry?โย
โ No matter is too trivial to be brought to the eyes and ears of the divine, If only you are willing to entrust them to me.ย โ
"I still have to wonder, why did you decide to answer my question the other day? I have a feeling you don't do that for every mortal." (I'm sorry, I wanna RP with ya)
โ Did I not inform you of my reasons, in the past? Quid pro quo โ you entertained me during a moment of self-reflection, giving unto me an answer I may not have attained on my own, and I extended an equal grace for you.
Is it not practiced among mortals that you should reward favorable behavior? โ
โ Allow me a moment of recuperation...ย โ
"Zamasu! This madness has to stop. How could you twist the things I have taught you into such chaos!" - Gowasu ;)
โ โฆ Madness? โ
Gowasuโs displeasure roused a long suppressed feeling of youth. But not in a refreshing manner, as the aged seek to return to. Everything that Zamasu stood for was being SILENCED without even a passing glance of consideration made towards it โ like he was little more than a child.
Had he been any weaker, any less dedicated towards doing what needed be done, Zamasu might have relented. But just as it always has been, it was far too little, and this time, it was too late.
โ In my studies I have come to understand that you know not the meaning of the WORD, Supreme Kai. Madness is to sit silently, grinning and bearing the sight of abject evil, across every inch of the cosmos, to sit in a lavish palace, on an entire PLANET separate from your duties to the multiverse, and let it rot away, or be blown apart piece by piece, and hope to yourself that it shall resolve itself or that someone else will do what you refuse to.
Madness is to bear the knowledge and sight of Mortals and Monsters devastating the multiverse, on scales that even KAIS cannot begin to recount, and to remain so CONSUMED by your pride as to sit idly by, unwilling to admit that there could be an issue, even when the very fabric of reality is torn apart, even as YOUR OWN BRETHREN are eaten and ripped away from the great cycle.
โฆ
It is difficult to say that you have ever taught me anything of worth, Supreme Kai, save for ONE CRUCIAL LESSON: There is no one in the whole of this multiverse who is willing to change, if it dares challenge their beliefs or comforts, for even a mere moment.
We Kais were created and raised with the EXPRESS purpose of serving our multiverse, to give of ourselves to bring about multiversal peace, however we can, WHENEVER we can. And you dare attempt to impose your fantastical ignorance of the worldโs woes unto me?
Between the two of us, Supreme Kai, I cannot guarantee that I will succeed on my quest, but it has been made AMPLY clear that you have failed Universe 10, and have no desire to correct this mistake.
I shall do a favor for you, Supreme Kai Gowasu, I will allow you to remain stagnant, and I shall enact all of the necessary changes myself. Rejoice, for you shall be allowed to continue to โtendโ your โgardenโ as youโve seen fit for all these years.ย โ
