Help needed for a struggling friend
TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS PLEASE, ITS URGENT
This isnt for me but for my friend who doesnt have a Tumblr. She is a in a very bad place right now and I have helped as much as I could but sadly my paycheck isnt enough to cover all her expenses. We live in a country that’s much cheaper than most of the world so we dont ask for much! But every penny is important.
She doesnt feel comfortable with her name being put in here so lets call her Lidia. We both are from the small country of Montenegro, in the south of Europe. You see, Lidia is living on her own and has certain health issues which have gotten worse since she got her last job in the shop…It was exausting and due to illness she had to quit it. And there is rent to be payed.
We are both 19 year olds, I live with my family and she lives on her own because…Well its a long and heart breaking story and NO ONE should have to go through it. But taking it short, she left an abusive home where her dad was agressive towards the entire family (specially to her older brother and her…tho her mom didnt get best of him exactly either) and sexually abused her. If I remember correctly the sexual abuse took part when she was in 8th grade…and she lived with it until we finished high school. Even when I first met her, which was in the art club, I would never think she went through so much, because she was that girl who was always smiling and who knew everyone. Talking about those days now, she was telling me she used to cry herself to sleep almost every night, but would have to hide it in the morning.
Her father is a sailor, and that’s bad for too many reasons. First, he HAS a lot of money, and a good reputation, so police didnt bother much about really digging into the case. Rather, they told my friend that, since the sexual abuse happened couple of years ago, its automatically an OLD case and since she has no evidence, their hands are tied.
My heart breaks because I cant help her go through it more. She is one of the kindest and bravest people i have ever met.
