No direct hate towards any members of the Avantris YouTube channel or of the fandom. Complaints about something a member of Avantris has done is fine. Complaints about the fandom are also fine. But please do not send asks about how you hate a member of Avantris or any other person related.

Please do not send headcannons as confessions. There is already a loa headcannons blog, please send them there.

I will mark the occasional post with a cw as I see fit, and if you think I didn’t properly cw something, feel free to reach out and I will make adjustments.

BE POLITE!! Being annoyed at things is understandable, but please be considerate to your fellow fan in your asks.

Also if you change your mind on wanting an ask answered (even if I’ve already posted it) and you want it deleted I will do so no questions asked by honor system.

I fully believe they don't care about OUAW anymore aside the clip farming. I recently watched Dust to Damnation and the shift in energy is insane. At this point they're carrying OUAW around because it's their money cow. Which I don't mind, because I find their bits funny. If people want serious campaigns, go watch literally anything else but OUAW or UPROOTED.

from now on, character tags will look like this:

Hey I know you have good intentions but any time I've been in a fandom with anon confessions it just turns into a discourse machine that promotes yelling at each other and being rude rather than discussions on the topics that should be talked about. I really don't want to see that happen with this fandom and like I will say everyone so far has been very respectful but It always takes a turn and I dont want to watch this fandom become hateful and discourage actual debate

that is totally fair and something that i have taken into consideration. I don’t want this blog to just be a negativity farm, but also I do think it’s fair for people to have negative opinions on things in this fandom. I’m not going to give a platform to people who are just being rude for being rudes sake, and if I notice we’re going too much in that direction, I’ll turn anon off. But for now, people have been respectful and it’s been a good mix of negative and positive. Again, I very much understand where your coming from, and I will not hesitate to pull the plug on this blog if it gets like that.

I'm not implying that the LoA crew did this out of maliciousness or anything but it genuinely threw me off a little that dust to damnation Rett was a white man. Who is that.

if I see one more person in the official discord act like they're so much cooler and better than everyone else bc they don't have ships or they don't get attached to the characters I'm literally going to lose my mind. I get that everyone has fun differently but coming into a fan conversation to imply everyone else is a loser for caring in an official fan space is frankly joysucking scum behavior and I can't even call them out on it because if I do suddenly I'm the bad guy. one day I'm just going to snap and start telling people exactly what i think of their snide little comments about other people in the server. There are so many people in this fandom w headcanons that I think are ridiculous but it's genuinely so easy to just leave and focus on something else for a little while. & like let's be so fucking real about this: it's a DnD livestream. there is no fucking moral or intellectual superiority to be found here. they are acting this way about a fucking game someone else is playing. the lack of self awareness is. staggering.

The LOA fandom has a really bad misogyny problem, and I’m so tired of it. Obviously not all of the fans are misogynistic, odds are that most aren’t, but there’s such a vocal minority on any video with female player characters.

Icebound in particular is really bad for it. Queenie is an interesting and complex character, but people don’t care because she’s “annoying”, or she’s too much of a contrarian (but when there’s conflicts between the male characters everyone is suddenly silent).

I’m just so sick of it. People treat the characters like they’re real people, and the Avantris crew like they’re characters. No fucking wonder Nikkie felt disconnected to the character

I feel like torbek's character as a plural allegory (as "the other"/duke/gorebek is a whole ass other entity/identity living inside of his body/brain) is overlooked alot and many people forget abt it or just refuse to see it/acknowledge it. Like hi hello i'm a system who loves torbek and I always see myself in him struggling to come to terms with his past traumas and the guy who lives in his head cuz thats sumn I deal with alot!! yeah hes a funny haha comedy character but also he has a Deeply Disturbing amount of lore related to being abandoned and rejected and then having to endure a 5+ year experience of being changed and tortured and experimented on that caused his mind to literally fracture and lose himself completley as The Monster Under Your Bed and now theres just A Guy In His Head who hurts him and others when the witchlight is activated within him.

Sure its not a realistic depiction on plurality and nowhere near what the actual conception of what having a dissociative disorder of that caliber ends up developing as. He is based around jekyll and hyde after all but HES PLURAL TO ME AND I SEE MYSELF IN HIM!!!! LIKE THATS ME!! IVE BEEN THROUGH HORRORS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION AS A CHILD!! AND NOW I STRUGGLE WITH REJECTION AND ABANDONRMENT ISSUES AND A DISTORTED SENSE OF SELF!! ME TOO TORBEK!!

I really love Bitsy and Peggy’s dynamic and wish people talked about them more. Romantic or platonic they’re so much fun.

Also the fact they technically had a kid together, the fan fictions really do just write themselves in this fandom don’t they?

I’ve noticed a lot of people on this confession blog despite having very strong opinions are always so polite about them.

Say things like “I hate this, but if you like it that’s fine it’s nothing personal” or “not really for me but I understand where people are coming from” and that’s the negative confessions most confessions here are quite positive saying how much they like something, how much they appreciate the crew behind these campaigns or wish more people talked about something they consider underrated. I don’t know I just like seeing people being respectful of other opinions and not saying they hate everyone involved or being dismissive.

I know most would consider this behaviour the bear minimum, but after being in many different fandoms it’s honestly so refreshing seeing people so passionate yet so polite.

So thank you LOA fandom you’ve been one of the best fandoms I’ve been in for quite a long time.

And thank you confession blog for allowing people to express their opinions.

I have very mixed opinions on uprooted.

Understand that I love that campaign to bits and it was also the first campaign of LOA that I finished so I have a special fondness for it.

But looking back they had so many cool plot hooks and NPCs that they just never did anything with because the party didn’t care and everything just went off the rails so badly.

On one hand that’s part of uprooteds charm it’s really entertaining to watch these guys just mess around with no consequences playing characters who care only for themselves an sometimes eachother.

But on the other hand they lost a lot of good story potential.

Again I love uprooted but in retrospect it was an absolute mess.
