And this isnt like “oh if you feed your dog anything but meat you’re a monster!” That’s minor. Its more “hey you shouldnt put a fucking egg in your dogs mouth bc they could choke or get salmonella” and then the person you criticize deletes your comment or blocks you. All tea all shade if you cant look at your obviously dangerous actions and say “hey, maybe I shouldnt do that?” then you’re a danger to your animal and you should be ashamed

I hate those posts that are like, “It’s not US destroying the planet, it’s the corporations!” Like okay, sure, but you know why corporations are doing this? To meet consumer demand.

Until we all, INDIVIDUALLY, decrease our demand for products that require exorbitant use of natural resources, we are all responsible for destroying the planet. And yes, that means you, the person reading this.

I hate how people insist we need to “save the bees” by eating more honey.

We need to save them by planting more flowers and not killing off the environment so we can leave them to their own devices.

We ruined the ecosystem and you can’t expect me to believe that more consumption is the answer.

Honey is not vegan, it doesn’t save the bees or the environment. Free bees, protect plants and stop interfering!

I’m bringing this back because you people keep misunderstanding me.

Eating honey does not “save the bees”.

Honey producing bees are not native to North America.

Most of our pollinating comes from non-honey producing species.

We all acknowledge that bees require human intervention to survive (like all domesticated ‘animals’) but that still doesn’t mean eating more and more honey is doing anything but putting $$$ in the bee keepers pocket.

Gonna play around with this blog again. Not sure what direction I want it to go in. But definitely not the direction I had in mind when I first created it (which was written reviews and YouTube videos about cruelty free options) I just dont have time or energy or recourse to make up original content. But I still want to provide as much information as I can and be active in the animal rights community again.

Black owned vegan lipstick company The Lip Bar are now being sold on Target online! This is such big news, especially for such a gorgeous vegan Interdependently owned brand! Michelle Butler is unstoppable, from being rejected on Shark tank with the sharks making comments such as “ I can see a massive market share in the clown market” to being stocked in a large store such as Target, is incredible.  The Lip Bar’s facebook post said it all -

(Same girl who's never worn makeup) I also don't want to end up with a really crappy product from the get go that will end up turning me off from makeup. If I do end up liking it, I'm pretty sure I read that physicians formula has vegan stuff, but I can't spend $12 outright for one product just to find out that makeup isn't my thing.

Personally, I would like to think that having a shaved head doesn’t necessarily convey any kind of message to people other than ‘this person has a shaved head‘. That being said, there is nothing wrong if you want to try out makeup.

Vegan makeup can be cheap or expensive depending on the brands’ price ranges, generally I would say there is absolutely nothing wrong with starting out with affordable brands.I would suggest looking for brands like e.l.f. who are very reasonably priced but I think they definitely stepped their game up a lot in the past few years. IMO there is no need to buy a lot of items or stuff from high-end brands right away.

If you want to dabble in makeup and decide it’s not for you, that’s perfectly fine too (in that case I’d really say try out just a few basics and don’t feel pressured to invest a lot).
