“Oh, not an orchestra orchestra. Indie rock’s always good. Can I... Look them up? Or is there no internet access here?”
Aiden couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s question, as he had flashbacks from the things he had done the previous days, and the horrible things he had seen other people do. “No, not really. Just be careful who you get close to.” Aiden decided not to scare the guy who already looked kind of anxious but comfort him.
Logan’s smile fell away and he narrowed his eyes in confusion. “What?” He could tell Aiden really meant his advice. “You’re... you’re not kidding.” This place wasn’t really for psychos, was it? Or was he going to become one for being there?
“Uhhhh yeah,” Diana trailed off, unable to resist laughing a bit. “Well, I am new, not…kinda..” The girl continued to walk alongside him, arms dangling like tree branches at her sides and a delicate hum leaving her lips. “I got here a couple hours ago. I just finished unpacking as soon as you came and asked me if I was coming with.”
“Oh, a couple of hours ago!” Logan laughed and nodded. He licked his lips and he kicked at the dirt a little as he walked, looking around the camp. “What's your first impression of the place then?”
“Right,” the girl responded with an awkward laugh of her own. She was wearing a tank top, something out of the ordinary for her, but she had a cardigan on…it was light, but it should be enough. Her smile blossomed and she nodded her head, wrapping her arms around herself. “Yes, we should!” The petite girl paraded after the other man when they went to join the group, remaining silent for a moment before speaking up. “I’m Diana by the way, I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m kind of new here.”
“Kind of new?” Logan repeated. “Well I guess I am too...” Logan wondered why Diana was at Serenity... She seemed perfectly happy and peppy, unlike most of the patients there. “Um, I haven’t really met many people yet. I just got here last week. How long have you been here?”
Aiden smiled spontaneously, this guy gave him positive vibes. “Name’s Aiden. I’m glad to finally meet someone worth befriending.” Aiden wouldn’t often take a liking to someone so fast, so he was hoping that this person would meet his expectations.
“Aiden, cool.” He tilted his head as he looked at Aiden. “Are the people here really that bad?” Logan joked.
Diana’s lips quickly formed into a small pout, tapping her chin as she thought. Did she bring a jacket with her? “I think I left my jacket in my parent’s care…I didn’t expect it to be that cold…It is summer.” Diana thought out loud to herself. “I’ll be okay,” The blonde quickly insisted, wanting to leave for the walk sooner rather than later., the smile returning to her lips.
“It’s Idaho, not California,” Logan laughed. “Plus it’s always a little cold in places by the water. But I think we’re in the middle of a heatwave anyway...” He looked around quickly, peering up at the unclouded sky. “Alright then, we should go.”
“Ooooooh a nature walk! That sounds so nice- I’d love to go on one with you!”
“Yeah, the group’s leaving in just a sec. Are you ready to go? Maybe bring a jacket... It gets kinda cool later in the day.”
“We’ve been out here for like a week. Can we go now? I’m running out of things to draw in the dirt.”
“Have you drawn any flowers? Like daisies?”
“Huh.” Aiden gave him a cynical smile. “If you wanna listen to real music, then you gotta listen to MGK, man.” The boy said in an almost demanding tone. “Anyway, I’m bored so I’m going to hang ou with you.” He added right after, sitting down next to the other without even expecting an approval.
“Well rap is good too, I just don’t hear stuff like this everyday, you know?” Logan reflected, turning to the new face beside him. “Anyway, um, that’s... that’s cool. I’m Logan, by the way.”
“You’ve never heard of Manchester Orchestra? Dude, what the actual hell. I feel sorry for you..Yes, this is exactly what good music sounds like.”
“Manchester Orchestra? Like strings orchestras? This isn’t... an orchestra.”

“I bet you’re listening to rap, no?” Aiden asked casually, approaching the guy.
“No actually,” Logan laughed. He was kind of nervous to see a new face. He moved one side of the headphones off his ear so he could hear the other person.
Thanks God, right?? I was able to sneak some decent music in here so we’re not all listening to the same shit over and over.
“For sure, thanks... Who is it?”
“So this is what good music sounds like.”
“I haven’t played foosball in ages! Last time I played it was sometime in college. You’re on! Let’s see, the loser has to help with dishes! I mean… I need to help with them anyway.. But if I win then you get to accompany me.” The woman added as she laughed.
“Dishes? Really?” Logan laughed and shook his head. “Did I do something to deserve that? Whatever, c’mon let’s play.”
“I am so excited to be camping. So, what do you want to do first?”
“Foosball-- is that even a question?”
“There are bugs everywhere!”
“You’d be right, princess. We are in the wilderness after all.”
