“Jesus... Well okay... I thought I was stupid but clearly you beat me there. Just... Just get in here we’ll figure something out.” Dante huffed and closed the door behind them. “’kay so what made you think that was a good idea in the first place?” he questioned, one hand on his hip as he sized the other up.

Norah let out a laugh, “Too true…” She watched him look around like he was on the run from the cops. “I supposed I could help but you owe me whenever I need something…” She peaked around the corner and watched the nurse for a moment. “She probably knows my sister who’s here; I can pretend to be her and have a little freak…too far?” She smirked and silently laughed.

Dante nodded slowly. He didn’t like the idea of being in debt to her, but he also knew that no matter who he asked to help him, he would end up in debt. “Right right... So you’ll imitate your sister huh? I mean if you think that will work. I’m guessing you two look similar enough?”

ricky dropped his duffle bag onto his bed, watching as the other frantically ran about, cleaning up. “ah, no worries, dude. my apartment didn’t look much better than this,” the brunette joked as he ran his fingers through his hair, clearing his throat afterwards. he moved back and lowered himself onto the plain mattress. he assumed he would get sheets eventually, or maybe he wouldn’t? he was assuming a lot of things about brielle and every time it somehow bit him in the ass. like, for some reason, he assumed he would room ALONE…yet here he was with a younger looking male who was skidding about- picking up loose articles and ruffling his comforter.  ricky tilted his lips into a sort of smile, nodding as the other introduced himself. “nice to meet you, dante.” at his question though, ricky just shrugged his shoulder. “got in some trouble, said i’d come here to sort it out rather than go to prison. simple as that.” though it was far more in depth then that. ricky wasn’t comfortable spilling his guts to just anyone. “how about you?

Dante couldn’t help but laugh lightly to himself before waving the other male’s worry away. “Nah I get it... Err sort of.” he replied nodding slowly. “I guess I didn’t really get into trouble per say, but I’m also not here voluntarily.” he replied with a small shrug. “Court ordered detox and weight stabilization. Eventually I’m supposed to have another hearing to see if I need to go anywhere else after this.” he sighed and fixated his eyes back to the floor. He wasn’t necessarily sure why he was sharing this with someone he just met, but Ricky was also the first person who he had met at Brielle and Serenity combined who was here on court order.

After a tamper tantrum that had involved a lot of kicking and screaming Lee had finally calmed down a bit. She’d been released into the crowd a few hours ago and she hadn’t felt anything but utter despair. Deciding she’d had enough of hiding out in her room she went on an adventure. Only to end up sitting tiredly, sniffling in the middle of the hallway. She couldn’t sleep here properly without Sir and her constant sadness took away all of her energy. So there she sat, not moving a muscle, except for the tears rolling down her cheeks.

When Dante first saw her, he froze. His feet plastered to the floor and he looked around quickly attempting to find some sort of staff or grownup who would be able to better help the poor girl than him. But no one was in the hall but the two of them and he stood there for a second, shifting his weight from one foot to the other before walking towards her. He didn’t want to startle her though. Dante didn’t think he looked scary or anything, but he was quite a bit taller than her, so he bent down until he was practically on his knees. “H-hey kiddo...I um... I’m Dante. Looks like you had a rough day huh?” he fumbled with his jacket pocket before extending his hand towards her. Opening his hand there was a small wrapped piece of candy. For being a patient in the eating disorder ward, oddly enough he liked carrying candy. Not exactly to eat, but rather to just have knowing he could eat it but always deciding against it.

“oh c’mon, it can’t be THAT bad!” diana chirped, trusting that the food they had made wasn’t as bad as they had made it out to be. she then shoveled a small helping into her mouth. it’s good! she thought, a smile painting her lips…until a sour expression replaced it, her button nose scrunching in distaste. a strange texture, followed by a disgusting flavor of bitterness, were quick to follow the seemingly harmless taste she, at first, hadn’t minded. “oh- oh my,” diana muttered after swallowing, letting out a harsh cough, dropping the silverware she had been holding and going to rub at her throat.  “it- it uh…it had a very…UNIQUE taste to it…” 

Dante covered his mouth as he tried not to laugh at the girl’s painfully obvious reaction. It was clear she wasn’t a fan of the food that sat in front of her. “I told you that you would think it’s awful.” he couldn’t help it anymore as he started to laugh and shake his head. “I hate it too, but honestly it doesn't matter to me if it tastes good or not. It’s low in calories, sugars, and fats so that’s fine with me.” he frowned though as he eyed the food before taking a bite for himself. “Mmmm-hmmm yup just as terrible as it always is...” he laughed as he choked it down before laughing again. “You know Diana? You’re lucky.” he sighed and laid his head into his hands. “You’re so thin and small.”

Norah wanted out of Brielle more and more as her time went on. She felt stuck inside a hell and the people weren’t making it any better; they didn’t even know her. “Maybe try paying attention next time? I mean, how hard can it be?” she scoffed at him, moving from the doorway into the room finally. “What’s the rush anyways, you’re stuck here…”

“I pay enough attention to get by. Annnd correction, both of us are stuck here.” he laughed before being reminded about why he was in such a rush to begin with. He quickly looked around, and sighed. “The current nurse goes on break soon. I, for only the purest of reasons of course, need to swipe her keycard.” Of course his success rate was low... But maybe if he had help. “Hey, everyone in here wants something. A nurse keycard has access to almost everything. Soo.. you feel like going on a little mission?”

Emma looked down at the ground, and shuffled her feet, she then looked up at him with large puppy dog eyes. In her ten years, she’d learned a lot about manipulating people; though it’d never been hard with her parents, who were pleased enough to grant their miracle child anything she wanted. “Maybe… once you forgot about it for a while. Really it’s not stealing. It’s borrowing.”

The odd thing about growing up being an only child was Dante actually had a soft spot for children and he was weak to the puppy dog eyes. He let out a small sigh and looked around, making sure there was no staff. “Oh really? So you were going to return it to me later on?” he asked, although his voice wasn’t angry but rather playful. “Em, you could have just told me. I know you want to know where Laurie got transferred, but I mean, Peter is here now so isn’t that good? Maybe he knows something? Besides, even if the phone can call outside of Brielle, it’s dead anyway.”

“ok, well then your meds must be really fuckin’ good or something.” the older brunette suggested, running his “clammy” palms down denim-covered thighs. “do you seriously not know ANYTHING about this places history? if this fuckin’ shitshow of a hospital doesn’t have ghosts then i don’t know what to believe. it’s fuckin’ HAUNTED here dude. you’re crazy if you think otherwise.”

He smirked. “Yeah at least outside of Brielle I had the good shit. Now I have nothing here,” Dante whined still not over the fact that he was literally prescribed nothing. Not even pain medicine. Dante glanced over at Ricky and smirked. “I mean, I guess I’ve heard about it. Ohhh hunted and dead people or some crap like that. Dude, it’s supposed to scare the kids, not us. You know, scare them into behaving or something?” he rolled his eyes though at the other’s panicked and dramatic comments. “Oh please, both of us are in the psych ward, so apparently both of us are already crazy.”

“For Christ’s sake Demi... Just... Why do you keep hitting on my roommates? Is it some weird fetish you have?” The male rolled his eyes dramatically and uncrossed his arms. “And I mean, I have nothing to say about the guy anyway. He keeps to himself half the time, and the other half the time he’s spewing random crap I didn’t ask about. Plus, he’s always tripping on something though saying this place is haunted.” He couldn’t help but smirk in amusement though at the girl’s “little” crush, especially when the apples of her cheeks had a rosey tint to them that he was certain wasn’t makeup.

Logan was fairly sure he used to love the rain. He remembers having his hands and nose pressed into the glass of the back porch door, watching droplets spatter and run together, creating an invigorating chill. Of course, his mother would always scold him and make him clean the door with Windex before he was allowed to actually go outside and be in the rain. He had to be quick, or it would pass.

During his stay in the hospital room, the only part of the storm he experienced was the noise thunder made. Now, the cold was overwhelming, seeping past his thin jacket and turning the drops throughout his hair and arms into a streaky, shiver-inducing mess. There was no glass door to separate him from the worst of it: either he could go back inside the prison cell of an asylum where it was warmer and more sheltered (unlikely) or stay where he was and wait for it to stop.

A muddy lake pooled by his shoes, but he couldn’t bring himself to move as it lapped and began to soak them, pressing an unpleasant moisture into his toes. Someone with thin shoulders and a wavy, soaked mop of hair had taken shelter against the side of the building. They looked brittle, like they were more ghost than person, and Logan fixed them with an uneasy smile.

“It gets pretty wet out here, doesn’t it?”

It was raining again and for one reason or another, Dante found solace in it. The ringing hiss of the rain continued all around him and he figured he was the only idiot who thought it would be a great idea to get stranded out here, but no, there was another. He glanced over at the other male and smiled back. “Yeah I guess so. I never lived in this state before, but I guess I just figured it wouldn’t rain much here.” he shrugged lightly and kept his arms wrapped tightly around himself. The only thing about being thin was that he got cold so much easier. But he would rather that then an alternative. Dante kept his dark eyes fixated on the other as he tried to make out if he recognized him or not. He had seen his face somewhere... “You um... You’re in the room beside mine aren’t you? In the psych ward I mean.” he asked unsure as he tried to place the face.

“-dude, i’m telling you, it was the weirdest shit i’ve ever seen,” ricky explained, pushing his hands through his hair. “it was awful- i turned down the hall and this chill crawled up my spine. i felt like someone was breathing down my neck- it was insane. no wonder they tell patients not to go down that wing- it’s the most haunted fuckin’ thing EVER.”

“Oh chill Ricky, I’m telling you there are no fucking ghosts here.” Dante rolled his eyes at the older male and crossed his arms. “I’m serious, like, even when you’re high you don’t see ghosts or feel weird chills.”

Brielle seemed like a maze to Norah but she finally stumbled upon a room that didn’t have a bed in it. She’d be wandering and couldn’t find a single space in the place that wasn’t someone’s room; though to be fair, she wasn’t looking too hard. She turned to step into the room and she was knocked and hit the doorframe. “Hey! Watch it! Do you know who I am?! Now I’m going to have a bruise, thanks for that!” she scoffed at them.

He really hadn’t meant to bump into the girl, he was just in a hurry to leave. He did however have to slow down at her venomous tongue and sharp witted comment. The older male scoffed and pushed a lock of hair behind his ear. “Uhhh no sorry girlie, I don’t know who you are. And sorry? But shit happens? It’ll heal soon I’m sure.”

Dallas had finally perfected his jail house tattoo gun and was ready to have some fun. He had plenty of ideas but knew he should start small, in case anything went wrong. It had been a long time and if he slipped and hurt himself he didn’t want it to be on a big piece. He could feel himself trembling as he turned the machine on. Weather it was nervousness, excitement, or just the buzz of the gun itself he didn’t know. After a few calming breaths he pulled out a mirror and began. 

The moment the needle touched his skin he heard footsteps coming up behind him. All he could do at this point was hope it wasn’t anyone who could get him in trouble, if he spoke he would surly mess up. A few seconds was all it took and he was finished. It was a simple tattoo and small but Dallas loved it. Delighted with his work he turned to show whoever it was at his door. “What do ya think?” A triumphant smile on his face he pointed to the small upside down cross now under his eye.

Dante blinked slowly as the other male turned around. Dallas was smiling and at first the other male had no idea what he was even talking about. It took a moment of staring before he started to put two and two together. Whatever Dallas was holding in his right hand and with the flush pink skin starting to scream with irritation already under his eye. “Shit man, you can fucking tattoo yourself?” He asked with disbelief, before thinking of a better question. “Wait--wait wait, you--how the hell did you even make that?” his asked as confusion spread across his face, his dark eyes darting between the makeshift tattoo gun and the small cross under the male’s eye. Dante did nod slowly though. “But uh yeah it looks good.... God I can’t believe you did that.” he smirked. “I dunno if anyone will notice though man, but among the staff I guess that’s a good thing.”

“I mean, I would’ve. But I was looking for something. The room where I’m supposed to have physical therapy. But I don’t really want to go that bad, anyways,” Delaney explained quietly, raising an eyebrow in confusion as the boy bolted down the hall and told her to wait where she was. What could he possibly be bringing her? But when she saw the wheelchair, she let out a small sigh of relief. She didn’t normally love the idea of wheelchairs. She hated feeling like she was in a position to need one. But her pain was bad today, quite possibly the worst it had ever been, and the mere thought of doing any more walking in this state exhausted her. “Thank you,” Delaney smiled softly, taking the boy’s hand so he could help her into the chair.

Dante smiled to himself as the girl let him help without protest. He actually thought riding in a wheelchair looked sort of fun, although if you were stuck in it for along time it would kind of suck... He cleared his voice before he started to speak again. “So I’m still pretty new here and everything. I’m Dante and I’m over in the adult psych ward. What about you?” he asked curiously. She looked younger than him, and he couldn’t quite recall if he had seen her in the psychiatric ward before or not. “And if you don’t feel like going to PT right now you can always skip it. I mean, the staff can’t really do much about it besides scold you.” That’s what he always thought anyway. He had skipped out on therapy a couple of times just because he didn’t feel like going.

the brunette glanced over at the other, lifting her lips into a smirk. “you’re telling me,” abigail sneered with amusement, rolling her eyes. “ god i hate him. i fuckin’ HOPE they can’t get this off. think i should label it “holmes” or what?”

Dante laughed at the girl’s snarky comment. Although he didn’t know the female that well, he had known of her back at Serenity. She struck him as eccentric and that’s what he found most interesting. “The art is way too beautiful for them to paint over it.” he smirked at the suggestion and took the pen from the girl’s hand and started to scribble in messy big letters Holmes. “God he’s such an arrogant prick. Trying to play ‘God’ over who can go home and who had to move here.” he looked back at Abby as he recapped the pen.

It was kind of pathetic, but there were worse things to be doing in here, right? Aspen sighed at his response, though she understood his sentiment. “I get it. It’s full of saturated fats and carbs anyways,” as much as she could just sit here and eat an entire cake, it was pretty pointless. There were other, more productive things she could be doing, and Dante had a point. “That’s true! Maybe it’s someone’s birthday or something?”

He did smile and nodded at the blonde. “Yeah it looks really pretty. If someone made this for my birthday I would be thrilled.” he laughed although her next comment caught her off guard. “Oh...Yeah.” he paused for a moment. He didn’t know a lot about Aspen or why she was actually here... But she had never been apart of any of the eating disorder treatments. He only knew Hazel, and there had been a few others back at Serenity. He had to admit she did look thin though and for a moment he felt a stab of jealousy. At Serenity, his diet had been strictly enforced to the point where he gained some weight back and it bothered him more than he would care to admit. Dragging him self back to listen to what she was saying he sighed out of relief that he wouldn’t have to eat it. “Yeah, I mean there are lots of people here. And if anything, I’m sure some of the medical patients would like it. I mean, it seems like they’ve always got so much crap going on.”

As the atmosphere between the pair seemed to drift upwards and elsewhere, Demetria gave a nod as to approve of the idea of rebellion. With a twinkle in her eyes and a small smile floating to her pinks, the brunette threaded her arm in between Dante’s and began to drag him towards to therapist offices. Of course, Holmes was going to have the BIGGEST one… He had the biggest ego and sense of self-importance. Really, he was better off as a patient in Brielle Institute. This place did have an adult ward, after all… There was still time. “You know, I heard some gossip earlier on that he is in an important meeting – with him taking over a new hospital and all - something tells me that he is going to be in there for a while.” Mischief mastered its way onto Demi’s expression, excited to be taking Brielle by storm with no other than Dante Sweeney.

Ah Demi. She had always been the queen of gossip, even in a new place like Brielle. He couldn’t help but grin as the brunet pulled him towards the offices. “Oh poor poor Holmes. Truly a busy man. We wouldn’t want to trouble him by asking about some patients. He must have other more important things.” he laughed to himself as the pair made their way down the hall. He was curious as to what the files would say about the two of them. But more than that, he was curious as to what his own file would say. Of course he knew himself better than anyone, but worry always seemed to spark him that something was written in his file that shouldn’t be there. The two of them got to the offices and stood in front of the door with a big gold plaque reading “Dr. Anthony Holmes”. It was as though he were trying to compensate for something. Doctor Holmes being the slob he was, must have forgotten about the big meeting and left his office in a hurry, as the door was open a crack and he could see inside that files were scattered around the room with a big stack of them on his desk. “Well? Ladies first.” Dante smirked and pushed the door open for Demi.
