Demetria’s entire world had turned upside down and collapsed, all with one singular action; being transferred to another hospital. Whilst to some patients, this wasn’t as big of a deal, but to Demi - well, it changed everything. Weeks had passed, without the loving touch of Aiden, the comforting words that gave her a needed confidence boost and his actions that spoke louder than words. Here she was now, sobbing in front of him, hoping that he would just snap out of it. But it was not as easy as that…
CRASH. It seemed as though the black, rain-soaked clouds inside of his mind collided with the grey, depression filled clouds that were preventing her from shining like the star she was. The silence in the room were now filled with a soaring blast, filling her eardrums with a series of explosions as their lips battled against one another. Uncontrollably allowing her fingers to fight their way up to the roots of Aiden’s hair, threading in between the brunette locks that decorated his skull, Demi paused for a moment to catch a breath with her forehead pressed to his. Squeezing her eyes closed - tight enough that they were almost locked into place – Demetria refused point blank to awake from this beautiful nightmare. It petrified her, it really did; the possibility of drearily opening her eyes to find that this was not real. With a tightened grip, Demi’s palms slipped and clutched onto the material of his shirt in desperation… Just to be sure.
Her jaw now though, was acting alone as it closed the gap in between their faces, sending her lips into a threading motion with his once again. She had to know that it was real, that he was real and this horrible situation that they had been haunted by was over. She had to know that Aiden was willing to fight for her, as much as she was going to fight for him. By the way that his lips so confidently moved against hers, as if he was rejoiced to be reunited with her, Demi felt that it was real… She could feel that Aiden missed her; not by the way he looked at her, or spoke to her, but by the way he kissed her – as if it was the only thing keeping him alive.
An embrace full of thorns was the right way to put it, yet Demetria felt enlightened to be coming out covered in scars. Aiden’s broken pieces had never fazed her before and it was not going to faze her now. She could not possibly let him slither from her grip once again, the breathlessness of her lungs and booming of her heartbeat confirmed that she had been starved; deprived of all love and what she needed most – Aiden. It was as though she was finally fuelling herself again, being given the energy to come back on top with her king. Breaking off the kiss by letting it last passionately and slowly, Demetria tugged herself backwards and allowed her glittering greens to trail up towards him. It was like their first kiss, all over again, where they were desperate for one another, craving the other almost. “Do you mean it? Do you promise that it’s going to be okay? Because…” Shaking her head down to the closed space between them, analysing how tightly her body was pressed to his and then realising that her fingers were literally entangled in his clothing, she turned back towards him after loosening her grip, but remaining close. “Because I can’t lose you again, Aiden. I couldn’t go any longer without you… I need you and I hope that you need me too.”
Normally, after a frosty scene like this, Demi would feel cold and left with no hope. However, today was the other way around… She was feeling hot, flustered and sweaty. She could feel her palms growing clammy from the adrenaline that had been forced into her body, but she didn’t care. Demetria was the kind of girl to dramatically fan herself down with her hand, instead of ruining her outfit but she had grown so comfortable with Aiden that she didn’t have to care about how she looked, even if her forehead was glistening from the heat that was projecting from her body. After a few seconds of deciding that the denim jacket, accessorising her body was more than enough material to barricade her from her boyfriend, she fought it off and tossed it aside before pulling Aiden closer to her yet again; this time, her bare chest pressed to his body. “Please, don’t leave me again… Don’t let them take me, Aid. We pulled each other through Serenity and we can do that here - we can - we just need to be strong and show Holmes that he isn’t going to ruin us…” A sigh escaped from the folds of Demetria’s lips as she rested her head in the crook of his neck, placing a small flurry of kisses along his jawline, almost as though she was trying to convince Aiden that what she was saying the truth but little did they know, Brielle would probably be the death of them at some point. Keeping her hazels glued to the one she loved, continuing to show him just how much she loved him with a gesture as small as this, Demi kept her lips pressed against the curve of his chin.
Unable to control his own thoughts, or movements now, Aiden allowed his palms to start wandering over the girl he had truly missed. It was everything, her touch, her scent, her voice, her body’s every inch. Without uttering a word, while her own very faintly echoed in the background, his palms sneaked underneath the back of her shirt, grasping on her body while their kiss deepened, just to make sure that she really was there. The boy still was lost inside his haze, now even more than before as he was starting to get intoxicated by Demi’s lips, who he craved so badly.
Without breaking the kiss, Aiden threw his own top off with a swift movement, suddenly feeling as if all the fabric on him was causing him suffocation, Demi being the only person he could present his terribly scarred flesh to without hesitation. It was more than clear that she was not fazed anymore, and right there and then was too overwhelmed by his actual presence to care about anything else. He barely even had anytime to look around his room, to check his bed out even before pushing the girl against the mattress, instantly getting flashbacks from their countless memories, from all the times he had thrown her into his bed back in Serenity and kept her chuckles from being heard with his lips.
It was then that through the mist of his lust he momentarily pulled back to stare at her face with pure adoration, using his palm to cup her cheek as he simply looked at her. Though he did not speak, the love that he felt towards her was more than obvious in the way his tired, lifeless eyes were now starting to glimmer again, as if he was looking at the most valuable treasure in the entire world. Though to him, in his own world, that was the truth. She was the best thing that had happened to him, and nothing, no one could take her away again. That possessiveness, coming from somebody who suffered from the specific mental disorders could end up being deadly, but the girl was far too in love with him as well to think, or care about that possibility. “Were you always that beautiful?” Evans finally broke the silence, taken aback by his own inability to remember how exactly he used to view her. Maybe this temporary distance had been good for them, maybe through all the difficulties they had both managed to come to terms with their feelings, to realize how much they meant to each other. Or so he wanted to believe. Losing himself and the world around him, Aiden then took hold of her hands softly, intertwining his fingers with her own and carefully placing a warm peck on Demi’s neck, both of them knowing that this soft way of acting was nothing else but a side effect of the weakness the medication had caused him.
