Quick sketch from HS (c. 1996) of the 8-track tapes I had sourced from the local Goodwill. Each tape only got one rotation since the adhesive would always give way. This made the spins precious; there was no going back. Additionally, the player I bought also at the Goodwill was set up for quadraphonic, yet I only had two speakers. No matter—I enjoyed the copious amounts of prog and arena rock, as well as disco, that came into my possession. The lettering on the tapes is so carefully rendered in this picture likely to memorialize said musical content.
