you && I collide || VM & LE
“Well thank you kind sir.“ She rolled her eyes lightly at his comment. “Wow the boy does smile would you look at that.” The blonde said with a sarcastic laugh as she gave him a peck on the cheek. Veronica couldn’t help the huge grin that spread across her face as soon as she saw him smile for what seemed like the first time all day. And teasing him like this was always a plus. That’s all they really could do at a time like this. Try to joke and make sense of this whole thing. If that was even possible. She scoffed slightly at his next reply as they stepped into the elevator after what felt like an eternity spent walking. “Are you being serious? You are to lazy. Well maybe more continuously lacking inspiration than lazy.” She mused with a firm nod, pouting slightly at his next comment-all in good nature though. “The top spot in your heart? I would have thought your surfboard. Or your precious Big Bird colored car.” A smirk graced her lips as she glanced up at him, the elevator digging slightly as they went up. “It might be calling my name too a bit after all.” Just spending secluded time with Logan, away from everyone, was calming to her. Although she would be happy to finally see her dad later and tell him everything. She had updated him earlier and let him know where she was and that she was fine and alive after all. But she knew he was worried and getting able to see him face to face would make the both of them feel better about the situation. For now she would be grateful for this time spent alone with Logan. “Either or works. The couch is fine. Then again your bed is super comfy and I wouldn’t complain.” She said with a slight wink in his direction. “Anything you want is fine? Greasy food is always a go-to. Maybe some burgers?” She suggested with a light shrug. She didn’t really care what they ate. She wasn’t necessarily picky when it came to food. “Well I won’t be leaving anytime soon so you don’t have to worry about that. For a long time.”
The vibes between the two had always been electric. All the banter and teasing always brought a goofy grin to Logan’s face. Veronica, she was intelligent, and just totally got him. Like they were on the same wavelength. To other people Logan was misunderstood and the same could be said about Veronica. Both were two sides of the same coin; the perfect match, if Logan were to have any say in that department. And honestly, he fell in love with her laughter, even her mood swings. Veronica could get pissed easily, but they dealt with it. As much as a couple of teenagers could. Despite their ages they both had to grow up quickly. Especially Logan with such a screwed up family, nothing but drama with a side of tears, and absolute negativity. Since his dad was locked up for murder - Logan only had Veronica, really the only thing he needed. As for what Veronica needed? It was sometimes unclear. However, Logan kept the banter and laughs alive, to keep each of their spirits up.
During the summer time Logan had been very depressed. With a murderer for a father? It wasn’t always easy. There were days the boy never even slipped out of bed. But with Veronica she was his rock. Nothing like a banter battle to bring someone out of the deep, depths of the depression pool. Now that the summer was slipping away through their fingertips Logan swore he had been the happiest he’d ever been. This little struggle - the death of his best friend - would be concurred with a little help. Maybe putting their heads together to keep each other out of those rough waters. Logan especially with his brain screaming for some release whenever he’s going to that place.
For a few moments all Logan could do was smile at Veronica, Thinking of how much fun he was truly having with her. Practically playing house most of the time. Dodging the father of the girl you love wasn’t always easy. Logan knew that. But these moments were the best. Just the two of them talking about things that made them happy. Food especially. At the mention of greasy food Logan nodded rubbing his stomach lightly. “Oh yes, I think I need some grease in me, a cheeseburger with extra bacon. --In bed with my special lady friend!” With a wink the elevator doors slipped open. “I feel like Willy Wonka right now without the really tacky purple suit. I wonder if they’ll let me put edible grass in my room?” Again, he nodded, very determined to ask about the edible grass. Stepping into the deserted hallway he beckoned for Veronica to follow him. “Come on, Violet, we must turn you into a plump little blueberry.” A wide smile painted his features as he said this while walking backwards.
