Some of the most fun ive had working on a piece like this before
butch n buttercup
A song that reminds you of each of the PPG and RRB members. Like: "that song reminds me of Boomer," "the lyrics of that song are so Blossom," etc.
My ppg and rrb fankids (final designs)
Breeze: daughter of Brick and Blossom but her parents are separated, 6 years old. She has a loud personality consisting of being adventurous, tomboyish, outgoing and intelligent. She lives with Blossom, and when she meets Brick she loves to poke fun at him by yelling and yapping. Her design is based on young Ellie from the 2009 movie called Up.
Boo: daughter of Boomer and Bubbles, four years old. She might look sweet and innocent on the outside, but sheâs a total menace who loves to prank people (especially Bud) and cause chaos sometimes. She has lots of animals at home of which Bubbles had let her adopt. Sheâs also spoiled and loves to whine when she gets called out. (Victim mentality lmao)
Bud: son of Butch and Buttercup, 5 and a half years old. Like Buttercup, heâs short-tempered. Although heâs introverted, (fairly quiet to other people and prefers some time alone) and wonât snap at people unless they bother him. He follows the Professor and Mojo Jojoâs footsteps, heâs a grumpy boy-genius who loves mech-animals and taking inspiration from that show to build funky machineries especially huge super mecha kaijus of his own to fight monsters in a more extreme way that literally destroys everything around em lol.
Buzz: daughter of Butch and Buttercup, 3 years old (the youngest of them all). She inherited her fatherâs hyper-activeness, and her motherâs tomboyish nature. Sheâs not really a talker, and when she talks she has this distinctive Japanese accent. She loves eating bugs, chocolate, digging, playing tag, flying around, and breaking things. Sheâs Budâs little side-kick and sometimes serves as his stubborn lab assistant like Jojo (baby Mojo Jojo) to the Professor. Sheâs also Booâs favourite cousin.
Well thatâs all I guess
Jinart 8 figures collection. Too expensive (especially the shipping fee oooofff) but I'm just gonna share how (1) it pains me to avoid this merch because priorities > fandom đ (2) I LOVE THAT MOKO IS HERE???? (3) the Boys, my children... Finally getting merch and (4) quite shallow, but I love how Brick is frowning here much like how many fanartists usually depict him HAHAH Butch and Boomer have fanon compliant expressions too đ so adorable. I wonder when, --somewhere, somehow-- will there be a Brick merch featuring his season 1 design lol
woof woof (directed to Buttercup)
brick doodle + blossom in her crob collab costume !!!!

The fit of all of time
I fucking hate what they did to Buttercup in that fucking cartoon and fandom. đđđđđđ My girl doesn't deserve this much desensitization.
I kind of did a character study on how Buttercup's desensitization would affect her mind if she were a real person (it's a cartoon, I know, but leave me alone).
I'll talk about that later. I just need to study for really important things right now đ
ALSO
I donât know where that « Butch is the rebel » thing came fromâ maybe it came from people constantly seeing the Rrb as « boy versions » of the Ppg, and NOT as the individual characters they are. (I agree that the boys are definitely complementary to the girlsâ personalities, and that they DO have their fair bits of similarities, but my point stands.)
Anyways, my boy is NOT the rebel some people make him out to beâ like, did we forget that in the show, not ONCE did Butch try to challenge Brickâs authority? You know who DOES challenge their leader?
BUTTERCUP. And Boomer, in a way? But yeah.
Is he a troublemaker? Indubitably. Just like his brothers are. Theyâre the ROWDYruff boys. They find it fun to wreck havoc and destroy stuff and challenge authority, but their pursuit of « evil » is moreso abstract. Itâs that « cool », distant thing they were subconsciously taught to seek by their parental figures, Mojo, and HIM. And I like to think that that is why theyâre so hellbent on destroying the PPG.
Because the Ppg ARE goodness. They are, and I shall quote Mojo himself, « Butts nestled between the pillars of peace and love. ». To the boys, destroying THEM would cement THEIR own roles as the worst, most evil supervillains (and, by extension, worthy of their creatorsâ attention and respect. Because I do not believe HIM could ever love ANYTHING, and Mojo cannot love ANYTHING more than revenge at this point.)
I suppose their egos would also be a factor in their pursuit of the girlsâ downfallâ but anyway!
The core difference between Butch and Buttercup (who are my favorite of their respective factions, erm erm), I think, is as follow:
If Brick/Blossom were to fall from grace, and lose their place as their teamsâ leaderâ Buttercup would (and has) try to take her place. Butch, would not.
Im just saying, buuuuuutâŠ.
Heavy RRB angst, except itâs EXTREMELY parentified Brick.
(Bonus point if, no one really notices it but his brothers (cuz duh.))
Im obviously gonna have to correlate this to Sbjâs MTH, because 1), thatâs basically ppgâs bible, and 2), my boys unfortunately do not have that many canonical appearances to build up of, so âïžđ„
Every ppg and rrb occupy a very clear role in their teamâs dynamic. Archetypes, if you will often with parallels (or straight up same roles) between the respective blues, greens, and reds. (For the sake of this post, these will be EXTREMELY SIMPLIFIED, but hear me out.)
The GREENS are the musclesâ the fighters, most likely to jump headfirst into any confrontation, especially if the confrontation just so happens to be physical. They express themselves best through punches, and frankly, no one expects anything less from either of them.
The BLUES are the emotional cores, but in two completely different ways. Bubbles is the most sensitive amongst her sisters, as well as the most cheerful and empathetic. She is emotional, and inclined to be a moral support for her friends and family. (Thatâs not ALL SHE IS, but thatâs what she excels at. The girl is a peopleâs person, through and through.)
Boomer, on the other end, is straight up his brothersâ punching bag. They take out their frustration and anger and snap at him for the SLIGHTEST thing⊠and they bond over that. From what we could see, we know that the boys have the most fun whilst bullying (even if itâs each other). Physical and verbal violence, and mockery, is their main source of entertainment. The fact that thatâs often at the expense of Boomer only proves that he IS a core part of their organism. Theyâre a united front, IN the bullying of their brother.
Now, the REDS⊠oh, boy.
The REDS are clearly their teamâs self-proclaimed leaders. They stand at the front, they lead the charge (plan, or not.), and are generally depicted as being more intelligent/mature than their siblings (wether that be in canon or not). Now, the distinction between Blossom and Brick is WHEN they need to be the leaders.
Blossom is CANONICALLY smarter than her sisters (whereas Brick is more of a fanon assumption), but people forgetâ Blossom isnât the last line of authority in the Utonium household. Thatâs the Professor. Thatâs right: the girlsâ DAD.
The Powerpuff Girls HAVE a stable and loving parental figure. The Rowdyruff Boys, do not. That means that Blossom, even if she DOESNâT or DOESNâT want to, CAN step out of her leader position to her heartâs content. She can rest knowing that she doesnât HAVE to have everything figured out, because knowing things ISNT her full time job. She gets to be her sistersâ sister, knowing that even if sheâs not there to, the girls will be looked out for and taken care of, HERSELF INCLUDED.
Brick?? He is Leader, Brother, and makeshift Guardian, all day everyday, and has been since theyâve emerged from that toilet. (ESPECIALLY SBJâS BRICK, or at least in my interpretation of it.)
This is hella long bye đ I might literally just be crazy, itâs okay âïž
Buttercup and her son Bud idk
