Yes, I read YA novels. Some times I like them better than "adult" novels. They're easy reads and entertaining. I like Jenny Han's books especially this series. I'm working on this #suicidesquad inspired #rollerderby design. So far this is my 4th iteration, I imagine there will be many, MANY more before it's complete, but I am determined not to give up on this one. I usually don't finish drawings because I can't draw. It's not that I can't draw, it's just I can't draw at the level my brain visualizes pictures, which is really annoying. Next step after getting this a bit better is getting it in to a computer. Philando Castile was fatally shot in his car by a police officer who stopped him for a broken taillight.
Alton Sterling was fatally shot in front of a convenience store by a police officer who had him pinned to the ground.
A civilian and twelve police officers were shot, five of them fatally, by sniper fire in Dallas during protests related to these shootings.
What can we do? Listen to the voices of those affected. Resist the temptation to be passive. Care and focus that care.
