Loneliness is cruel. I remember a point in my life when I felt alone. I didn't have the courage to talk to anyone and it didn't seem like anyone cared so I didn't make a lot of friends. Eventually, I tricked myself into believing that I didn't need anyone. I even started to resent and hate people. I became selfish. For five years I ate lunch alone longing deep inside for someone, anyone, to invite me. I had put up this big wall that no one could scale. We were not created to live life alone. For five years I walked until light invaded my darkness. I've always asked God why i had to go through this period in my life, and God answered. No one can truly understand loneliness unless you have experienced it. Our convictions become the fuel which light our way to a brighter future.
