I called that his hanging out with the Grandmaster would end with him being captured, although it does seem likely that team Thor were the ones to put him there, cause I think the GM would have better like holding cells that don’t just look like some junk ass room somewhere in the tower xD another indicator for that would be that he did not receive a haircut and hasn’t been put in the arena to fight some gladiators xD

UPDATE: I have concluded that Valkyrie put him there for some reason (he prob fucked up the gm thing xD) and then led Thor and Banner to him when she decided to team up with them (if you look at the shot before the surprise one you can def see on her face how fed up she already is with him, meaning she had to spend at least some time with him before that scene, meanwhile Banner looks like he did not expect Loki, and Thor is just not surprised xD)
