A little late, but still better late than never^^;
In general, this time I used the style of Halloween. I think if the anime continued, it would be great if there was a special Halloween episode. So I wanted to see how the characters in their costumes would look. So I used skins from Sonic Channel, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle and from cover of IDW Sonic.
This idea came to me when I was planning the sequel to my series. Because there are two immortal aliens in my AU squad who will live waaaaay past everyone else. And I do adore one certain time travelling hedgehog. And would like to give him a good childhood. :3 So this was made!! It's become a lot more than I first imagined it'd be when I first wrote this. It has multiple parts!
Introducing. Silver and his brother dads. <3 (Thank you @ xxtc-96xx for the wonderful art of this little family!)
Sonic universe setting: Movie universe.
Background: Black arms invasion happened and Eclipse was included as a vanguard and protector. Black arms were defeated but Eclipse was spared. He changed his form and stays with Shadow now as a hedgehog rather than a darkling.
Time period: About 200 years after canon.
Somewhat inspired by the fanfic "The Prodigy" on AO3. (Too lazy to get a link apologies.)
Part 2
Shadow wore a ragged cloak over his form, protecting his fur and quills from the sand particles swirling through the air. His brother, Eclipse, wore similar clothing. But that fool wouldn't stop complaining about it any moment he was presented with the opportunity...
"Ugh, this stupid-...! Great, ANOTHER tear! I told you we should've gotten new ones! It's getting into my QUILLS now too!"
"Stop complaining." Shadow huffed and glanced at the hedgehog walking beside him. "Focus on the trail instead."
"I'd be focusing BETTER if we spent our currency on clothes rather than some useless-... THING." Eclipse's nose wrinkled as he glared back at Shadow. "You already have your inhibitor things. Why would buy something you don't need?"
"The technology has changed as chaos users have become more common. It could give me insights on how to improve mine." Shadow explained, again, with a sigh. "You got something for yourself too."
"Yeah, a small sweet treat! Not something that would drain all of our savings! Now we have to go steal something again next time we want it, and you get SUPER grumpy over it when we do." Eclipse huffed and pulled his cloak closer to him as a gust of wind blew between them. Scattering sand through the air, over their feet and across the wide barren expanse behind them.
"If you wanted it so badly, we could've stolen it..." Eclipse continued, then veered off to their left to follow the trail properly. Shadow followed Eclipse close behind.
"If we had, we would've been chased off. Do I need to remind you of the dragon egg?" Shadow looked at Eclipse with his eyebrow raised in challenge.
Eclipse flinched and his face quickly turned a darker shade. More black due to the colour of blood that ran through his veins.
"H-Hey, I gave it back! Its not my fault they didn't stop chasing us."
"All trouble we get into when we're together is because of you." Shadow scoffed and shook his head.
"Yeah, well, you don't have to keep me around if I'm so troublesome..." Eclipse grumbled as he guided them towards a small section of rocks in the desert.
Shadow had thought about it. He had considered it multiple times through the years, weighed the pros and cons when travelling on his own. There had been periods when they split up, but the two of them always found each other again. Forever connected and forever bonded through the blood that they shared. Forever cursed to seek each other out for company...
It always boiled down to one critical thing. Poor company was better than none in the face of eternity. The many times Shadow had found others to protect, only to lose them to time... Eclipse was the one person he would never lose to time. And there was a sickening sense of comfort in that...
They were quiet as they approached the rock formation and they both started to glance around the space.
"The trail ends here. So there should be a passageway." Eclipse said as he started to inspect the walls closer. "How long have you been after these creatures?"
"Give or take three years." Shadow started to look over the walls as well to try and find some form of switch or latch.
Eclipse let out a soft scoff. "Oh, okay, so that's what you went away to do. And you didn't think that I could help you sense these chaos trails any sooner?"
"They didn't start kidnapping chaos users until recently. I thought you weren't interested in 'saving useless creatures who are too weak to help themselves'. I had no reason to bring you with me."
"Yeah, yeah." Eclipse conceded with a soft grumble, soon followed by a soft click and the sound of stone grinding against stone.
Shadow turned and saw Eclipse standing next to an open passageway with a wide grin on his face. Shadow rolled his eyes and shoved Eclipse aside by his face as he walked past.
The two of them walked down the steps together, carved out stone stairs being replaced by metal the further down they went. They didn't speak, didn't have to really. The space opened up into a wider hallway, seemingly abandoned. But his nose told otherwise... So he opened his mind connection with Eclipse to briefly convey that other people were here, something that made Eclipse nod as they silently went further inside.
Taking care of the kidnappers was easy. This being just a mid stop, no one had any weapons that had a devastating effect on either hedgehogs. If they had managed to hit them at all. The trouble they encountered appeared at the cells where the captives were held. There were sounds of distress, screams, young voices begging something to stop.
Eclipse held Shadow back before he stepped through the doorway leading to the cells. Then Shadow felt through Eclipse how the whole space was covered in one single chaos energy. So he focused too and yes, there was chaos energy covering everything. A powerful one... Was there a chaos user among the kidnappers after all?
They stepped inside with caution but quickly found their feet floating off the ground as the chaos energy in the air took hold of them with a cyan glow. As Shadow continued to listen to the shouts, he realised quickly that this wasn't coming from a kidnapper. This power wasn't from someone who had control over it.
It was one of the kids.
"Throw me." Shadow told Eclipse and held out his hand. Eclipse had been flailing in the air, but quickly focused at Shadow's command.
Eclipse grabbed his hand and threw him closer to the source, letting Shadow's form glide through the air.
Shadow spotted a kidnapper first and quickly teleported towards them to knock them out. The cyan chaos energy was still wrapped around him and it was clear it had tried to hold Shadow in place. Teleporting with this wrapped around him used more chaos energy than usual...
"M-Mister! Help!" One of the kids screamed, a small peacock with tears in their eyes. They were floating just like everyone else as they pointed their wing to somewhere deeper in their cell.
At the very back was the source. A small ball of cyan glowing energy, their form trembling as the other kids frantically tried to get them back to their senses.
Shadow teleported to the source of this power, his body burning slightly from the amount of chaos energy that they emitted. Despite this, Shadow reached out to touch them, trying to suppress the uncontrollable chaos energy with his own. A pair of eyes peeked out from the ball of fur, wide and terrified.
"It's alright. You're safe now." Shadow kept his voice even, using more of his chaos energy to gently suppress the child's. "Take a deep breath. You need to control yourself."
The child let out a soft whimper as they desperately held onto Shadow's hand in return. The cyan glow of the child's power started to fade slowly as Shadow gently coaxed them to calm down. And soon enough, Shadow dropped from the air and landed on his feet with the child in his arms.
They were small... and a hedgehog. He hadn't noticed the white quills on the child's head when they had been curled up in a ball. They seemed to have white fur but dirt and dust clung to it to make it more grey.
"Is anyone here dead?" Eclipse asked as he looked into the cell and saw the children picking themselves off the ground. "No? Too bad. Since we're being the good guys, these captors aren't dead. So you all need to move quickly, little creatures."
Shadow let out a heavy sigh through his nose. And this was one of the reasons he hadn't wanted Eclipse with him to save children... the little hedgehog continued to cling to Shadow as Eclipse broke apart the cell door and they led the children through the base. They had found transportation vehicles so they'd be using that to get the kids back to the city. Shadow and Eclipse sat at the front of the vehicle with the children sitting in the back, all huddled together and softly speaking to one another.
The little hedgehog still clung to Shadow and refused to let go when Shadow told them to join the other kids... so they were also in the front of the vehicle.
Shadow started to feel uncomfortable with how long this little hedgehog was holding onto him... shouldn't they let go by now? The little hedgehog who had clung to Shadow was picked up by Eclipse and his brother held the little hedgehog in the air with a wide grin.
"So that came from you! Hah! That power would be more useful if you had control of it. You're so weak~."
"They're a CHILD." Shadow protested for them as he smoothed out his fur. He could see the little hedgehog tremble in Eclipse's hold, but that was fine.
"Yeah yeah." Eclipse huffed with a roll of his eyes and let the hedgehog sit on his lap instead of Shadows. "Why are you clinging to my brother, huh? You're not in danger any more so you shouldn't be that scared."
The little hedgehog looked between Shadow and Eclipse, then gently grabbed hold of Eclipse's chest fur like they'd been grabbing Shadows.
"I don't... wanna go floaty again..."
Eclipse let out a scoff and tilted his head at the little hedgehog. "So little control. Pathetic." Eclipse held out his hand towards Shadow and shared a brief picture of the inhibitor rings Shadow recently purchased.
Huh. So Eclipse could actually be considerate? That's a surprise. Shadow dug through his quills to bring forth the new inhibitor rings and handed them to Eclipse. And these rings were then fastened on the child's way too small arms. So Eclipse unlatched them and put them on the child's ankles instead.
"These are my brothers. They help out with suppressing chaos energy. So from now on, you're ours until you can go around without them."
Shadow looked at Eclipse with a soft growl. "They're a child with parents."
"Don't pretend like this thing is wanted by anyone." Eclipse scoffed at Shadow, ignoring how the child was looking up at him with wide eyes. "With this volatile energy? I wouldn't be surprised if it has killed by accident. You get to keep a little pet project that you enjoy to have from time to time and I get to see what kind of destruction this thing can cause!"
Eclipse's grin was wide at the thought and held out the little hedgehog in front of Shadow's face. "It caused even US to float! This thing can destroy anything with the right training."
"They're not a weapon, Eclipse." Shadow hissed at his brother, then focused on the little hedgehog held in front of him.
They seemed confused. Scared. And more than anything, hopeful as they stared at Shadow with big eyes. Now that they weren't using their powers, Shadow could see that their eyes were yellow...
It made Shadow briefly remiss over a similar shade in a young girl's hair...
"Do you have a name?" Shadow asked them. They couldn't be more than 3 to 4 years old... and with the way the child's eyes watered, Eclipse might be right. This might be a child who had no one... That could be why they were so desperate to cling to Shadow.
"S-S... Silver..." The child's eyes filled with more tears as they sniffed. "Y-You-... You wanna keep me...?"
Shadow looked towards Eclipse. Only to see a wide victorious grin in return. Shadow let out a low groan and focused on the desert ahead of them.
"You're ours now!" Eclipse said loudly as he let the little hedgehog settle on his lap again. The cackle he let out was distinctively 'evil' but little Silver didn't seem to mind. "I can't WAIT to see the destruction you can create... what kind of things you can do, things you could CRUSH."
"Settle down. They're still a child." Shadow reminded Eclipse, again, only for his brother to scoff.
"It's already powerful enough to do it. It just needs to learn how to control it."
Shadow let out a soft sigh, but didn't refute it. And so, Silver became theirs.
They trained and raised Silver. Sometimes together, sometimes separately. With Silver sometimes sticking more to Shadow and sometimes more to Eclipse. A young boy with a determination like few Shadow had seen before. Someone who grew up to be kind yet had a clear violence streak. Someone who grew up to look out for those weaker than himself, fiercely loyal to those he trusted and ready to crush anything in his path with violent efficiency if needed. Shadow and Eclipse continued to forget Silver needed to eat multiple meals a day, but he still grew up to be strong and healthy.
That was their Silver. Their... son for a lack of better words.
Then again, I never had plans to redesign her, but the people over on my YT said they wanted a redesign of her soooo.... I did it.
As much as I despise Mystic, I will give credit where it's due: she genuinely has a pretty design. But, as always, it's just too detailed for a cookie design. This is supposed to be a game about cookies, not Genshin Impact. But anyways, I gave her a new hanfu with browns and golds, rather than using white and dialed down some of the details. I completely got rid of her long hair because it's really unnecessary, and those little charms on her veil. I gave her some spider legs on her back, because well spider- and shortened the length of her veil.
When analyzing the design, I noticed that Mystic has a transparent fade in her dress that reveals her legs. Girlie, put some shoes on. No one wants to see those damn dogs. She also has the same transparency in her veil, which makes more sense ngl. Those are neat details... but are they REALLY that necessary??? Not really.
When planning this redesign, I only had one idea in mind: acupuncture. A traditional Chinese medical practice where thin needles are inserted in the skin. These needles are supposed to relieve pain and aches. I knew I had to give Mystic an acupuncture needle for her weapon because it fits her character way too well.
---
Anyways, that's it lol. Mystic Flour enjoyers, do tell me what you think. I bully this bitch enough, so think of it like a peace offering lol
I rewrote from different POVs but figured sticking to Silver POV would be most fun. There's a bunch of history in all of this and while I touched on some of it in previous parts, I figured it'd be best to have you, readers, discover those bits together with Silver. :3
Or, well, if you sent me questions I doubt I'd be able to resist the urge to ramble. XD Not the huge bits though! But absolutely smaller bits. <3
Also, thank you so much to @xxtc-96xx for the wonderful art of this little family!!!
Sonic universe setting: Movie universe
Background: Black arms invasion happened and Eclipse was included as a vanguard. Black arms were defeated but Eclipse was spared. He changed his form to look like a hedgehog and stays with Shadow as a hedgehog rather than a Darkling.
Time period: About 200 years after canon. (Around nine months after Shadow and Eclipse took Silver under their wing)
Part 1, Part 7
Silver thought that Eclipse's place was a lot like Eclipse himself. Not good, but not bad either. Loud, energetic and violent. It suited Eclipse, that this was his place.
Silver liked it.
The people here didn't seem too bad either, even if Shadow had warned him they weren't good. They just seemed like people. Maybe the shops here sold things that were dangerous to handle, but they still had food and water and all the good things a town should have.
The people seemed very nervous when they interacted with Eclipse and Silver couldn't really understand why. Eclipse wasn't doing anything bad, he just showed him and Shadow around. And the two older hedgehogs were arguing softly sometimes, just as usual, with Silver holding onto Eclipse's hand.
Silver had missed holding hands a lot. He hadn't wanted to let go of Eclipse for even a second when they looked around! Since he wasn't hurting Eclipse when touching him like he did with Shadow, Silver could hold onto him for as long as he wanted. Silver also got to show off his shoes to Eclipse and tell him Silver could walk a lot longer on his own now. Eclipse said he'd still carry Silver even if Silver could walk longer and that made him very, very happy. He liked that Eclipse liked to carry him.
"So, uh... You... are boss's kid?" A large person asked Silver, someone Eclipse had called wolf.
Eclipse had led their group to the house he stayed in, (the largest house in the whole town!) set Silver on a high chair and told the people present to give Silver food. Shadow had walked off somewhere and Eclipse had told wolf to keep an eye on Silver while he went after Shadow.
Or, well, he told wolf that he should make sure no one touched Silver or they were dead. It was the same thing.
"I'm Silver!" Silver greeted with a nod and a smile, his legs dangling off the high stool he's been placed on. He really liked it when people called the two older hedgehogs his dads. He wanted them to be his dads too!
"Well, it's nice to meet ya, Silver. I'm Brutus." The wolf said with a nod and they started to relax a bit. This person was really large, at least two Eclipse's tall. "How long are ya gonna be here for?"
"I donno. I stayed with Shadow for 6 months." Silver looked at the plate of food that was put in front of him. It smelled really good. And it looked like mashed potatoes with bits of brown in it. He thanked the person who gave it to him, then picked up the spoon to eat with. He had learned to eat well with cutlery thanks to Shadow.
"Shadow...? Ya mean the guy who boss went after?"
Silver let out a soft sound in agreement, because his mouth was busy eating. It tasted a little weird, but it was still good. And there was no strange tingling feeling either. So it was good food!
"How do you like it, kid?" The person who gave him the food asked with a small smile. They had a large line over their eye and a strange, flat nose Silver never seen before.
"It's good! Thank you." Silver thanked them again, because it was the good polite thing to do.
"Ya sure are polite, kid. Ya got it from your mom?" The wolf, Brutus, asked as he watched Silver.
"Shadow taught me! My mom didn't want me." Silver tried to not feel sad about it, that his mom and dad hadn't wanted him... "But Eclipse want me! And Shadow too. But Eclipse chose me first!" His tail wagged as he remembered that day when he was rescued. Eclipse had been the one to say they should keep him. And Silver was really glad he did.
"Boss chose you?" Brutus and the flat nose person looked at each other, then back at Silver. "So would you say you're one of boss's treasures?"
Silver blinked and tilted his head slightly. "What does that mean?"
"Its something Boss would get violent over to protect." The one with a flat nose said as it leaned up against the counter.
"Oh, yeah! He beat up a bunch to save me!" Silver nodded with a bright grin. "Shadow too! They're super strong. I'm gonna be strong like them someday!"
Brutus let out a snort, then coughed with a wide grin on their face. "Sure, kid. I'm sure ya can manage that."
The flat nosed one rubbed his forehead. "How can a kid be a treasure to that guy?"
"What other treasures does he have?" Silver leaned forward and pushed the empty plate back to the flat nosed person.
"All kinds of things, whatever finds his fancy." The flat nosed person said as they picked up the empty plate. "Money, tech and valuables, for the most part."
"Boss also has stuff that are older than my mom." Brutus said with a huff. "Do ya know how old he is, Silver?"
"No." Silver shook his head. Then, there was a soft 'blip' sound that Silver immediately recognised and he turned to see Eclipse there. He was glaring at Brutus and the flat nosed person, but then his eyes softened when he looked at Silver. His nose twitched briefly.
"Good, you had food. Do you need liquids too?"
"Yes please! Can I have juice?" Silver smiled at Eclipse. But then, his smile dimmed when Eclipse let out a soft groan.
"Don't do that stupid polite stuff with me. You TELL ME what you want." Eclipse then poked Silver on his chest. "Don't answer a question with a question. Do you need liquids?"
Silver started to smile again and he felt his tail start to wag. "Yes! I want juice!"
"You heard it." Eclipse glared at the flat nosed person. "Give it juice."
The flat nosed person said 'right away' as they walked away a bit. Silver reached out to lightly tug at his fur to get Eclipse's attention.
"Eclipse. How old are you?"
Eclipse let out a short laugh and grinned wide. The type of grin he always had when Silver asked something he knew he'd get a confusing answer for.
"You can't measure eternity in mortal years, little thing."
Silver's eyes widened slightly. "Woah... So you've lived for super long...?!"
"Something like that." Eclipse picked Silver up under his arms and held him close. Silver didn't hesitate to nuzzle into Eclipse's soft fluff and hug him around his neck. "Did anyone touch you?"
"No. They were really nice!" Silver leaned back from hugging Eclipse to accept the juice bottle Eclipse gave to him. "Brutus called me your treasure."
Eclipse muttered out a soft 'Brutus...?' As his eyes shifted between the wolf and the flat nosed person. The two of them seemed to get nervous when they were watched by Eclipse, just like everyone else in this place.
"You are. You're mine." Eclipse said, a little louder than usual as he settled his free hand on Silver's quills. "And any FUCKER who touches what's mine will get disembowelled!!"
Eclipse turned to snarl at the room where other people were. And the people in it quickly replied with a 'yes boss!'. This made Silver a bit confused as he tugged Eclipse's chest fur.
"What's disem...bow...?"
"It's when your stomach gets clawed out." Eclipse answered as he started to walk with Silver to the opening that led deeper into the house.
"Would that kill them?"
"It could." When Eclipse and Silver left the room, the noises in that room grew a lot louder than before. But Eclipse didn't seem as interested in that as Silver.
"But why would you wanna kill them for touching me? They wouldn't hurt me, right? And they seem nice."
Eclipse's nose wrinkled as he looked at Silver. "You care too much about other creatures."
"I know. But I like it." Silver started to smile. Because he really liked talking with people, caring about them and making others feel safe and happy. "You could like others too."
"They're tools to be used who die way too easily." Eclipse waved off to the side, then turned down a corridor to the left. "They'll do anything you tell them or ask them to. And you don't need to do that polite stuff Shadow taught you with me or those creatures."
"Am I your first treasure who's a kid?" Silver tilted his head slightly to show his curiosity.
"There's no one like you, little thing. Now drink your juice." Eclipse lightly flicked Silvers ear, then stepped into another room where the door opened without touching it. "See? The creatures here listen to me. No one even touched it."
Shadow was there with another person. The other person was short, but probably because they leaned forward so much. And they had a really large, green bowl on their back. Shadow glared at Eclipse and crossed his arms. Shadow hadn't put his hood back on since they left the sweet treat place and Silver was really happy that Shadow seemed to be a little more relaxed at Eclipse's place. Even if he didn't like the people here.
Silver took of the cap of his juice bottle and drank some while he was watching them all talk. He'd just listen for now.
"You still left him alone with a criminal. It doesn't set a good example for your capability to take responsibility."
"It needed to eat something. And you just went off without knowing we moved stuff." Eclipse huffed and turned to the other person in the room. "Turtle, this thing is mine. You won't touch it."
"Roger that, boss." The other person, turtle, said in a raspy voice and nodded.
"At least be bothered to learn their names..." Shadow sighed and pinched the space between his eyes.
"Ah, it's fine Mr. Shadow. It's just how our boss is." The turtle smiled towards Shadow this time. "But I'm glad to speak with you again before the years caught up with me... Do you need help fine tuning your skates once more?"
"No, just materials and the space. I'll handle the rest myself."
"Don't die before you finish training that weasel." Eclipse pointed at the turtle. "If its training isn't complete before you do, I'll toss it out."
"Not to worry, I still have time left in these old bones. He won't disappoint. And he'll pass your test." The turtle smiled wide towards Eclipse. "Would you like to try my new prototype?"
"Hah! Still making things to kill me?" Eclipse's grin was wide when he said this. Silver tensed up and looked between Eclipse and the turtle. He didn't want Eclipse to die...!
"Not at all. I am past that stage." The turtle let out a raspy chuckle in return, then started to cough.
"Later. I want to take care of the little thing." Eclipse waved off turtle, then turned to Shadow. "I'll be back. Make yourself at home."
Shadow nodded in return, then Eclipse walked off. And Silver was still held close to Eclipse's chest. But that exchange still worried Silver.
"Do... Do they want to kill you, Eclipse...? Those who are here?"
"Sure. Every single one. But they know they can't." Eclipse said this so casually and dismissively that it helped Silver relax. They couldn't kill Eclipse even if they wanted to...
Did Brutus and flat nosed person want to kill Eclipse too...? Was that why Shadow told him to be careful of the people around Eclipse?
"The turtle tried to make a bunch of machines to take me down. It just made me stronger." Eclipse let out a soft snort as he smiled. "That thing is brilliant. It'll be a shame once it dies. That weasel better live up to its teacher."
"Why will they die...?" Silver glanced back to the place they came from.
"Mortals don't live long. Their body deteriorates from within until they can't function any more..."
Eclipse stopped walking suddenly. And when Silver looked back at Eclipse, the older hedgehog was looking at Silver. And something in Eclipse's eyes made Silver's chest feel weird... like Eclipse was sad. But he was never sad. Not like Shadow was sometimes when Shadow looked up towards the stars.
"Eclipse...?" Silver reached out to gently settle his hand against Eclipse's cheek.
Eclipse closed his eyes with a sigh. "Forget it. Let's start teaching you how to read." Eclipse then teleported holding Silver and they were now in a completely new room. Silver grew a bit nauseous from the sudden shift, but it passed rather quickly. They were in a room with tons of sparkling things and interesting looking machines set up all around. Silver let out a soft sound of awe as he looked around while Eclipse walked over to a tall layered shelf.
Books! Those were all books! Silver hasn't seen this many books in one place except in a book shop! Eclipse picked one out, then sat down at a desk in the room. Silver giggled when Eclipse spun around in it, holding onto the older hedgehog's fur so he wouldn't fall off.
"Right! Let's start with letters." Eclipse said as they stopped spinning, with Silver still giggling from the dizzy feeling. "When you learn letters, you'll know how to put words together. We'll start with Council language."
"I also wanna show you how good I'm with my energy!" Silver grinned up at Eclipse and he could feel his tail wagging in excitement. "I can lift things without crushing them!"
"Good. We'll do that later." Eclipse settled his hand on Silvers head and gently rubbed back and forth. "First, letters. You'll be the best little thing in the universe when I'm done with you."
Silvers first lesson in reading didn't go super well. He forgot what the letters sounded like sometimes, but he kept on trying until he got it right. Eclipse then demonstrated how the letters could make words by reading to Silver, just to show how it worked.
Then, he got to show Eclipse how good he'd gotten with his energy in his personal training room! It was a place Silver could use as much energy as he wanted. They fetched Shadow too so he could see and both hedgehogs praised him for his progress!
Eclipse said Silver could do better and he was right, Silver COULD do better. Eclipse gently covered Silvers hands with his energy, explained how he should draw out the power and mimicked doing it against Silvers hands. Silver had forgotten that Eclipse could do that and with the explanation, it made sense.
So after listening to Eclipse's advice and trying a few times, Silver could pick up something as large as himself! It dropped almost immediately after, but he did it! He picked it up!
He was super happy with his progress. And Eclipse threw Silver into the air as celebration, making him laugh so much his stomach hurt. It felt great that his practice had paid off! He'll be the best little thing in the galaxy, for sure!
