Putting in fresh hay was very scary for cookie
well i got quite an interesting little case that compels me to give you all a fun fact.
I got a one eared bunny in today (the finder's kids named him cookie) and this bun was examined and i found he had no scar. just a lil nub where his ear should be. Not to mention this bunny had quite a small stature so was likely a runt.
sometimes when a mama bunny gives birth and requires more nutrients or is just quite hungry, she will eat the ears off her kid. and in this case, that's what happened. cookie grew up with one ear and was probably quite surprised he was plucked out of the yard and brought to me for this. in this case, bringing him in was not necessary but i had no idea if he was cat caught or not and waiting could be fatal. so right now he just needs a safe place to grow.
in the meantime, cookie has settled in and is eating snacks

Nosey.
He froze when he stood out of the carrier and was too afraid to run off like the rest. I scooped him up and he melted into my hands and I comforted him and he is now back home in the terrarium 😭
This can happen sometimes. So we just try again when the weather is opportune so my next shot will be next week when I release another batch. But for now, nosey is happily loafed back In his favorite hay hut
