Is anyone tired of smut? Like don’t get me wrong, I love a good smut filled oneshot but like. Why is it when I go looking for emotion comfort or angst it’s all just smut instead of genuine connection between characters or reader inserts?

Cause like, yeah we’re horny fucks but I just want emotional comfort with Astarion from BG3 cause he lowkey gives demisexual vibes cause of his trauma. Before his character growth I can see smut with him but like, that’s only act 1, the rest of his character growth has him not wanting sex because it makes him uncomfortable and or causes flashbacks for him.

Or like, Aemond or Daemon from House of Dragon, yeah, GOT is like half sex but there is so much more content that can be used to write fics other than smut.

Anyone else feel the same?
