Close To You
Maxi Priest mural on shutters in Brockley, London
I am not sure of Maxi's connection with Goldstar Office Furniture. Did he once purchase a revolving chair here?
Walkways at Chalkwell House, Stepney, London
Peculiar staircase housing at Chalkwell House, Stepney, London
Blue entrance to flats in Stepney, London
Flats overlooking Brayford Square in Stepney, London
The one shop that remains open.
The seemingly abandoned Brayford Square in Stepney, London. This "square" is very strange. It is largely hidden from view, deserted and the businesses apparently closed down. You would expect it to be covered in graffiti but it isn't. It's almost as if a once bustling community was only yesterday abducted by aliens.
The Blackwall Tunnel ventilation shafts set between apartment blocks and hotels, London.
The Blackwall Tunnel takes road traffic under the River Thames in East London.
The only positive is that the ventilation shafts are vaguely a similar shape to some of the apartment blocks.
Grey footbridge over the A13 road, Beckton, London
Behind the fence.
New developments in Stratford, London behind a graffiti covered fence. The building with the multi-coloured balconies is Icona Point
Road to nowhere, North Woolwich, London
Over and under
Pedestrian tunnel, road bridge and light railway bridges, Blackwall, London
Gasometer, Bromley-by-Bow, London
Not sure if this really counts as urban decay as it is more industrial heritage
The Vermillion Building in Canning Town, London
These flats are right alongside the A13 road (foreground) which is the main road heading due East out of London. Presumably the colour is intended to keep you so relaxed that you forget the incessant traffic noise.
