Mom visits London!
My next review is live! Check it out!
In this workshop, held on Thursday 13 June, Courtauld students Agathe Jacquemet and Amélie Timmermans set out to explore why and how people and organizations collect art. The afternoon began with a short video of three different collectors discussing why they collect, what defines them as a collector, and how they purchase and develop their collections.
My first Views and Reviews article has been published on the Courtauld blog. Check it out!
Chinese contemporary artist Liu Dahong began his presentation on 30 April by stating that he has lived through three dynasties—the first being Chairman Mao’s reign, the second when he left power, and the third the current regime. South of France (much belated)
Less than 12 hours after returning from my Scotland adventure I headed off to the South of France to stay with another Courtauld friend. Keep an eye out for my posts on my adventures in St. Paul, Nice, Grasse, and Cannes!

Loch Ness -- Scotland Road Trip (5)
Our final destination!!!
The weather was amazing and warm. Nothing like lying in the sunshine while keeping an eye out for good ol' Nessie!

WELCOME TO THE HIGHLANDS!
I woke up from a backseat nap to see this!
POSTS TO COME: Loch Ness (our final destination) and St. Andrews (our return detour!)
SCOTLAND ROAD TRIP! (3)
Loch Lomond-- this was our first stop on the road trip. Only about an hour or so drive out from Glasgow. We stopped here and eat lunch, while our friend played the song of this title on her iphone. So picturesque.
Edinburgh (Scotland Road Trip 2)
Day trip to Edinburgh
We wandered the city, climbed up to the Castle where we could see snow-capped hills in the distance, and visited the museums!
Glasgow (Scotland Road Trip 1)
We arrived in Glasgow (after a 10hr overnight Megabus ride) to stay with a friend from the Courtauld.
We wandered the city, especially Glasgow University, which was BEAUTIFUL!
We also ate DELICIOUS Indian food and ate wonderfully cooked meals. It was nice to just stay in a house for a bit and have TV to watch and a full kitchen to cook in! But soon we were off on our road trip through the Highlands!
You never know what you'll see when you show up to Somerset House for class...
