Jared French, Rescue

Jared French (1905 - 1988), was an American artist, who attended Amherst College in the 1920s, as well as at the Art Students League.  He was a painter, whose Magic Realism often became revealed through his time-intensive medium of egg tempera.  A fine  draughtsman, he was also a muralist, a sculptor and a printmaker, of enigmatic, nearly surrealist compositions of the male figure.
