im going to take my granny out to dinner, but then i will be here and around to brighten your days with my presence.

i’ll be back in a few hours. since i have work saturday i have to shift my schedule for sleeping so. i’ll have a nap so i can sleep at a somewhat normal time tomorrow night. see you in a few my lovelies

               if Harry and the boys hadn’t been supporting her she was rather sure she would have fallen onto the floor by now. She couldn’t really register that the words had even passed her lips before they did. Rosie was her best friend, her everything, no matter what happened that would always be what was true. “ No, I’m a divorced woman that has loved you since we went to school together and for years I’ve tried to tell you just exactly how much I love you ” She took a shaky breathe, heart beating so fast she could almost feel a heart attack approaching, had she ever been this nervous before?

               a matter of seconds passed before they had started to play the song, could she have done this in a less dorky way? Probably not, it was all in or nothing. “ I can’t conceal it, don’t you see, can’t you feel it ” she sang softly along, eyes scanning over the shorter woman while she took a small step towards her, eyes widening in surprise when the girls on the other side of the room started to sing the next part. This really was something she’d remember until she died. 

          she was completely speechless  when tanya said what she did.  and when she broke into song ?  well, she was even more shocked.  she was fairly certain she would keel over at this point.  rosie mulligan, famous author dead from a heart attack.  eyes were wide as saucers when the soft melody of voices started beside her, surrounding her.  donna’s hands still on her shoulders, she can even feel a gentle push.  a sort of  what are you waiting for ?  movement.  mouth is dry, words are caught in her throat.

          say i do.  she wants to, can feel it in her heart.  it’s just a matter of snapping out of the state of shock to actually speak.  and again, another gentle push and soft  say i do  resonated in her ears before there was a pause.  she swallows hard as she stares at the taller woman.  her best friend, her rock,  her love.  ❛ i-i do... ❜  quite truthfully it surprises herself that she finally gets the words out.  all eyes are on her, and she takes an almost hesitant step forward.  ❛ i do ! ❜

               sophie wasn’t getting married, it as chaos. In a way she was happy for her, she was far too young to run and get married without knowing what she really wanted and perhaps Tanya could relate to that feeling more than anyone. She never knew what she truly wanted, three failed marriages because they hadn’t been the one. The one she wanted to spend the last of her breathing days with and could anyone blame her for that? The person she wanted to spend the rest of her years with was in this church though, placed beside their best friend, Rosie had always been there for her, she didn’t know when the feelings of friendship changed for her but it had moved quickly. What if her best friend was her soulmate? Couldn’t that be possible? 

               before she knew it, Harry’s elbow had met her side, just a small nudge. He knew, of course, he knew, it wasn’t like it was a secret, she just hadn’t told Rosie about it but before she knew it, she spoke up over the voices around the room. “ Hang on ” Hand went up to make everyone go quiet while she nervously moved, oh this was it, wasn’t it? She could be denied everything, her soulmate, the love of her life but she needed to take this chance. “ Why waste a good wedding? How about it Mulligan, someone needs to take care of you when we get home ”

          it was quite honestly  a chaotic disaster.  but in the best of ways, very fitting for the kind of people they all were.  and truth be told, rosie was glad that sophie wasn’t getting married just yet.  she loved the girl as her own daughter, but she was far too young to venture into married life now.  there was so much of the world for her to explore.  just like donna  she thought to herself.  the wedding was off, and they would need to make their way down all those steps yet again.  she’d stood, speaking to donna quietly when tanya’s voice broke her thoughts.

          she turns, utterly shocked at what her best friend was saying.  she could feel her heart beating faster, thundering against her rib cage.  lips were parted in a silent gasp, trying to just process all that she was saying, what she was suggesting.  in the back of her mind she’d known for some time that what she felt went far beyond the reaches of friendship, but rosie had never pushed it.  nor had she realized that tanya would’ve thought the same.  in fact, she was quite oblivious to the feelings the other had for her.  ❛ you’re...  you’re simply pulling my leg, aren’t you ? ❜  she can’t quite believe it, can feel donna’s hands squeeze her shoulders.

          bill had many times before seen that look of hope & inspiration in rosie’s eyes. prior to him feeling their love connection —– he’d at least known they were connected in some way. thanks to that there never seemed to be a dull moment between them. & to think he almost missed it in idle moments, second guessing their destiny ( which he knew now was rightfully with each other ).     bless donna sheridan for bringing them together, once again.     “ i haven’t lost my charms just yet, dear. & if i have any say in it —– i never will. your passion would never allow it ! ” laughter fills the air as bill takes his second long swig of wine. “ almost as breathtaking as you, rosie. ” it’s as if her name is a ballad, a single word in itself filled with so much love & devotion.

          did she just giggle ?  he really did make her feel like that  fresh out of uni  student all over again.  a light pink tints her cheek, and she takes another generous sip of her wine.  helps to calm the nerves really.  they’ve been together a while, yet she still gets butterflies each time he shows her a smile.  ❛ you’re just saying that because you’ve got to.  but please, more of that. ❜  when it’s coming from him, she’ll gladly fish for the compliments.  ❛ one of these days we’ve got to plan a trip somewhere beautiful.  maybe hawaii. ❜  they both had the fortune to make that happen after all.  and it would be such a nice little getaway, just the two of them.

          “ oh, come on, just listen to me would you ? ”     by now he doesn’t have much to say ( if they’d be talking on her terms ). of course that fact alone wouldn’t stop an old hound from trying. “ would you slow down a minute ? ” all this was quite reminiscent of a certain someones persistency. it wasn’t his specialty per say, but what harm could come from trying ?     “ ROSIE. ”

          seeing him set foot  on the island had been the hardest thing she’d had to endure.  after so long avoiding him, ignoring text messages and calls, he was right there in front of her.  and now she’d made herself scarce, yet he somehow still managed to find her.  little legs were not able to carry her fast enough compared to his long strides, so she tried desperate to force the emotion away.  turning to face him, she glares up at him, but there is still a hint of sadness in her gaze.  ❛ i’ve got nothing to say to you.  not anymore.  you’re wasting your time bill. ❜

             of course Rosie could do this if there was anyone that could it was her. Tanya herself had been in the same situation more than a few times, what she usually did was to show up with someone new, arm candy, so to speak. “ Rosie, you can do this, don’t let him nestle his way back in when he hurt you so much ” She glanced around before wrapping her arms around her in a short hug, perhaps it would calm her down slightly. “ You’re the strongest person i’ve ever known, I’ll be right by your side ” 

          she doesn’t know what  she’d do without tanya.  once again demonstrating how she’s her rock.  eyes close and she forces any emotion back down her throat.  she won’t shed another tear over him, she can’t.  ❛ i hate love. ❜  it’s stated in a bitter tone.  she means it too.  love plays with your heart, makes it so much more fragile and easy to break.

          glasses clink together  before she takes a sip of her wine.  sometimes it’s still hard for her to believe, after all these years she managed to snag the handsomest man in the world.  it made all those years of loneliness worth it.  she’d just been waiting for the right man to come along, and it turned out the right man had been bill anderson.  ❛ who knew you had it in you, to plan such a romantic evening. ❜  she sets the glass down on the wood.  a romantic dinner on his boat beneath the stars, it was everything she could dream of.  but of course she’d insisted on doing the cooking.  that was her passion in life, besides him of course.  ❛ it’s absolutely breathtaking out here. ❜

rosie can’t dance.  not really.  if you’ve seen her or watched her at all you would know she is the least talented when it comes to dancing.  when rehearsing for any shows the dynamos would play, it always took both donna and tanya days to teach rosie the dance because she just couldn’t figure it out.  she couldn’t get the steps or the timing right.  she just wasn’t someone gifted with that ability.  it’s not that she can’t dance at all, some moves she can do quite well, but she struggles quite a bit with most of the routines.  this is also due to how incredibly clumsy she is.  she stumbles a lot, she falls, she has poor balance.  so dancing the way they have to is harder for her and takes a lot more practice.  so a lot of the time to just avoid embarrassment, she purposely dances like an idiot.  because at least then she knows she’s doing it on purpose and trying to make herself look like a fool.
