Do you, guys, have digital sketchbooks? I used to doodle digitally quite often, but I didn’t save it because I thought it was useless. Now I regret that because I often find cool ideas in my old paper sketchbooks. Here are some creatures I sketched in December and resketched today.
Drawing still life. One year ago I would not think I could do this, but now I am not quite satisfied with the result.
FREE ART PROGRAMS
So recently I came across a fellow artist who was struggling to find a free art program, and considering dropping the large amount of money for a Photoshop license. I know not everyone can afford such an expensive program, so I’ve compiled a list of programs with no cost to download and use.
Keep in mind all computers are different, so not all will work for everyone. Also, I’ve only ever used Windows, so for the most part, I’m not sure if everything will work for Mac. if in doubt check the website linked.
Photoshop CS2 - (Windows, not sure about Mac.)
FireAlpaca - (Windows and Mac)
Sketchbook Copic Edition - (Windows and Mac)
GIMP - (Windows) (Mac)
Paint tool SAI [cracked] - (Windows) (Mac)
Paint tool SAI 2 beta - (tumblr post on said program)
iPaint - (Mac)
Paintbrush - (Mac)
Pencil - (Windows, Mac)
Paint.NET - (Windows)
Seashore [still in development, ver 0.5] - (Mac)
ChocoFlop - (Mac)
Inkscape - (Mac and Windows)
ArtRage [Demo] - (Mac and Windows)
OpenCanvas 1.1[must pay for 2.0] - (Windows, not sure about Mac.)
MyPaint - (Windows)
Krita - (Windows)
Vectorian [Supports Animation] - (Windows)
Pixia[Japanese, some English versions] - (Windows)
Asperite - (Windows)
Chasys Draw IES - (Windows)
SmoothDraw - (Windows)
TwistedBrush Open Studio - (Windows)
BOUNS - CTRL+Paint [Great for teaching all kinds of stuff, like how to use digital programs.]
If you know more free programs, please add onto this!
OpenToonz has made many improvements since it’s initial release! (Windows & Mac)
Medibang Paint is a comic drawing software forked from FireAlpaca mentioned earlier in this post, and is available for mobile devices as well! (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)
Sharing is Caring :)
Autodesk sketchbook is free too ^^
Tho you have to buy the full version, but the free one is good for quick sketches
Bear doodles. I used my November sketches for reference.
In honor of one of the number one divas in the game (and someone i look up to) @fergie reblogging my #alittlework video here is me jamming out in heels to her song “tension” making feel all types of fierce!
someone knows how to vogue!
If someone didn’t know my mother tongue is Russian. And I’m trying to follow Russian Tumblr too. But at this period of the year it’s very hard to read all those unhappy posts.
I understand that lack of light made its business and we are all feeling a little bit depressed. But does talking about it really help?
I was wondering if I have some book about a witch to get into spooky mood. Unfortunately I don’t 😑
Yesterday was sketching my favorite dog breed

‘Gamer Room’ 🎮🌸
I finally finished this! I hope you like it. Her room is a mess but It’s full of little details of some of my favorite games and consoles.
Soon available as a print in my Storenvy.
How did I get here?
When I moved to Berlin my weight was 65 kg. Then I started to gain slowly. In September 2016 I weighted almost 69 kg and my highest weight was in February 2017 - 76 kg. Now It’s 73 kg. I eat rather clean but weight goes away so slowly. For some time I thought that I look good anyway. But it’s not true. I just didn’t see myself objectively: when I looked in the mirror I still saw 65 kg woman and in reality I’m almost 10 kg far from that. In past long walk wasn’t a problem for me, but now I’m sweating all the time. All my clothes are too small. I hate wearing swimming suit. I need to start taking care of myself, because nobody can do that instead of me.
Two Illustrations for the spanish magazine “Cañamo” June 2017.
I should start sharing more city photos with you. #davidbowie #berlin #citylife #streetphotography #photography #poster #window #citystreets (at Berlin, Germany)
