Hey cuties! ✨ I'm Evie, formerly of the Peace Syndicate, now of the Reality Warriors, trying to find my feet in the Force.
Who I am and who I was are very different people now. If you're somehow from the Syndicate, understand one thing: this team is my family, and I will not go back.
💙Have fun!❤️
Relationship Status: Taken by @officialjohnjones
Mun and muse are 18+, and Evie is very much committed to her beloved John Jones (whose mun and muse are also 18+ and my irl husband). She will act committed to him, so DNI if you don't like PG-13 levels of spice. I will not write anything NSFW/explicit, but a married couple do not behave like just friends, so don't expect that.

I'm taking not breaking character seriously, but Evie is about as unserious as it gets. That said, there are some ground rules:
1. Absolutely ZERO NSFW. Evie is a free spirit, not a toy. Joke around, but don't cross the line of decency.
2. Apparently "God Mode" has been a problem. We'll be having none of that here. I'll warn you first try, block you second. God Mode is not fun for anyone.
3. I'm an adult, jsyk, I'm cool to chat with anyone but I'll remove myself from any situations with minors I think could get dangerous.
4. Respect my RP, I'll respect yours. We may not agree on a characterization, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun.
This blog deals with heavy topics such as ab#se, PTSD, hallucinations, death, loss, trauma, survivors' guilt, and other mental health issues.
Headcanons:
Evie gives off the vibe of an airhead, but she has a surprisingly sharp wit when she wants to show it. The Peace Syndicate has been trying to follow the Island forward ever since the Big Bang, but didn't have the tech to break through the dimensions. Until they finally made a breakthrough.
Her memories surrounding the rift that brought her to C5S4 are spotty and deeply traumatic. But she was confident, until S2 Remix, that her friends would find her there. Since then she's come to accept that her old team is dead, and she has worked to move on with John Jones and the Reality Warriors, trying to continue protecting the peace, but with less questionable methods.
The team has become her family, closer than she's ever had. Megalo Don is her best friend, followed closely by King Midas. Vengeance Jones is like an older brother to her. And John Jones is the love of her life.
She is now working to find her way forward with her new connection to the Force, which seems to have made a permanent connection with the Island and the Zero Point.
*There was too much to do, and too little sleep to be had. Evie was almost dead on her feet. Finally getting a little time away from everyone demanding her attention, she slipped away to spend some time with Jones.
This time, as she rounded the corner, Evie heard a soft whine. Bonesy, Jones' dog, was sitting on the floor, staring up at his owner, whimpering.*
Oh, Bonesy... You miss him too, I know.
*The pup turned to the sound of her voice, and rubbed up against her legs, still whining. Evie sat down on the floor beside him, giving him a hug before looking up at her husband.
She sounded like a crazy person, talking to someone who couldn't possibly hear her, but she had nobody else she could tell everything to.*
... Hey, John... I know you can't hear me, but that's okay, don't spend your energy on me right now...
Bonesy's here to see you too. I guess we're both feeling lonely...
*She held Bonesy a little closer.*
Everything is a mess without you. I knew you were carrying more than any normal person should, but stars... I can't keep doing this... I don't know how you do it. I don't want to let you down but... I'm not you, and whatever it is that lets you deal with all of this... it's not helping me out at all.
I miss you...
*Her vision blurred, and angry tears slipped into Bonesy's fur.*
I want to know who did this to you. Nothing anyone says makes sense. You are the kind of person who would try to stabilize the Point by yourself, but you wouldn't turn your back on an enemy. It doesn't make sense. I wish you could tell me...
Something has to be out there that would make this all fall into place... What am I missing? John, what am I missing??
*Evie buried her face in Bonesy's shoulder. The poor pup whimpered and tried to offer reassuring kisses, but Evie silently tilted the both of them to lean against the base of the tank, and Bonesy gave up, instead curling in to snuggle his owner's lady.
Eventually her silent crying stilled, and Evie and Bonesy fell asleep beside the man they both loved.*
*Having scraped together about two cumulative hours of sleep over the past 70, Evie finally got herself into presentable form, all the current updates solidified on paper. After sending out the ping to all Reality Warriors cards and Seven comms, she waited for them all to arrive.
Once as many as possible (the Visitor noticably absent) were gathered, she entered the conference room. Makeup and shades had covered all evidence of her lack of sleep, but it couldn't cover the dimming of her usually bright personality.
She took a breath, looking out at everyone gathered for a moment, and set her papers down.*
Good morning, everyone, and thank you for coming. I know that the events of the past few days have been... traumatic, especially with a lot of us trying to find new homes.
On that subject, the Sanctuary is open to anyone who needs a temporary bunk while they look. Just talk to me or Jaina for a room assignment after this.
*She paused, then started again, eyes down.*
First, I've heard some rumors going around that Jones is dead. He is not, but he is in a coma, which is why I'm here. He was shot. I am investigating.
Second, the floor is open for any questions you all may have. I have a general plan for going forward, but I would like to hear everyone out first.
What is it precisely that occured during the battle? There was very little communication over the last few months, unless I missed a summons. Was the Commander injured before the battle? Is that why the large golden man was giving orders out in the field?
*Perhaps he had been too preoccupied, but it really felt like no one had told him what was going on.*
You're the one who cut the Harvester in half, right?
That "large golden man" was the Foundation. The Visitor requested that Jones hang back with him in order to help coordinate the attack. He was... completely fine when I left him.
*A shaky breath. Stay calm.*
Communication was kept to a minimum for security purposes. Despite this, it seems we were compromised.
*She would find out why. But that was her own personal vendetta.*
The Foundation led the attack, the weapon that was designed to take down the Harvester's shields malfunctioned, and he was baited into attacking the Ice King in a blind rage. That fight ended with him being frozen. The Foundation is dead.
The Ice King was betrayed and murdered by the Voyager immediately after. He reforged and overloaded the Zero Point, which is what you interrupted.
Now the Zero Point is badly destabilized, and is threatening to collapse. If it does that, all that exists, everywhere, everywhen, will cease to exist.
Well, yes, I did do that. It seemed the right thing to do then.
*It was probably not the time to mention that he had heard his Shard Daggers whispering to him before rift butterflies turned them into the Infinity Blade. Because that sounded crazy.*
I certainly feel as though there was a distinct lack of communication regarding what had been happening. I was busy myself, so I understand from that aspect, but as a member of the Reality Warriors, I feel a bit left out of the information pipeline. I did not even know what the Seven was before this meeting.
*He looked around at everyone. He was bouncing his leg, but his expression was determined.*
For those of us who do not live with the main group, it feels important that all be kept within the loop. Perhaps if more information was shared all around, we may have been able to come up with an alternate plan...
*He swallowed, and tried his best not to think to hard about how authoritatively he had just talked about things he knew very little about.*
*The kid wasn't wrong. Evie allowed his words the room to settle, giving them their proper respect.*
You're right.
I make no excuses for it. There was a critical lack of proper communication. There was also an overwhelming amount of scattered problems that posed unforseen issues, some of which are still not resolved entirely.
Jones and I, for example, were forced to hop realities recently due to the Voyager's intrusions on sensitive timelines.
*She looked back at the table.*
I myself didn't really know about the Seven personally until a few weeks ago. Maybe we could have had a better backup plan. Maybe not. I'm not certain anything could have helped, considering our security was compromised. It's almost...
*... Like it was engineered that way.
Evie paused, frowning. Way too many things made sense if she considered them in that light...
[Visitor had spent more time than he cared to admit tracking down their person of interest. She was very skilled at hiding, but luckily, he was better at finding.]
[He had come to her as the Visitor. After all, he did not need her for her expertise alone. He also needed to test her loyalty, without her knowing who was under the mask.]
[It had been difficult. She was no fan of the Seven. But he could be persuasive. After all, the two of them shared one trait:]
[A deep sense of scientific curiosity.]
Ladies and gentlemen, apologies for being late. I was locating someone with the necessary knowledge of the Zero Point that would allow us to fix our most recent issue.
[One problem with entering a meeting late: everyone immediately had their eyes on you. Visitor hated tardiness, but unfortunately, the mission had demanded it.]
I would like to present to you the island's foremost expert on the makeup and properties of the Zero Point...
" I figured this island needed a Zero Point expert.. so, here I am. "
[ Slone looked at everyone else in the room, knowing they must be judging her. She didn't have the best reputation, after all... but regardless, she knew how important she was, and that this team needed her help. ]
" You're going to need me if you plan to fix this. "
*Evie was stunned for a moment. The Visitor had swept in as though he were used to commanding the attention in the room, and he'd brought someone that she had not heard good things about.
Trying not to be openly hostile, Evie clenched a fist behind her back.*
Visitor, I'd like a full report on why you're late after this is done.
*She gritted her teeth slightly.*
And right now, if she is who I think she is, would you please explain why you brought someone who tried to destroy the Zero Point here to fix it??
*She had arrived on the Island just after what everyone referred to as the "Collider Event". People then talked freely about "Dr. Slone" and her failed attempt to destroy the Point.*
Evie glanced back and forth between Hope, the Visitor, and Dr. Slone, trying to understand what Jones had been thinking. She didn't trust Visitor, and she certainly didn't trust Slone, but Hope...
... Fine.*
Forget the report. Doctor, check in with the Scientist and get comfortable.
*She turned back to the table, taking a breath to calm the anger trying to rise.*
Is there anything else that anyone would like to bring up or ask about? If not, then I'll dismiss us. We all have people we need to get back to.

Evie spread her hands, looking up at Cate.*
I don't know.
There is no known protocol. All we can do is guess the next step.
To that end, I'm looking for people who understand the Zero Point on a scientific level. The Scientist is already assigned, and anyone who applies will be vetted by him to ensure that the team is properly knowledgeable.
Our first order of business is to attempt to stabilize the Zero Point. Those who don't have the expertise for that, like me, will be helping stabilize the people here.
Which team do you prefer? Or do you have a third goal in mind?
I don't know much about the Zero Point. Just a few documents here and there so I don't think I'd be much help. I can help the people unless there's something else you think would suit me.

"If we go to our sister we might just straight up find everyone"
Yeah if I even know where is she! This place is- different!
"Oh no...is that..."
...no...
*The Zero Point. Rebuilt. His family's sole purpose was to stop it, how had they failed?*
That is why this place changed.
"We need to find them!! What if they're hurt!?"
Don't make me think of that!
* @vengeance-jones-fn held his head. This stranger loved to make him get close to panicking.
Focus. Find the Sanctuary. They must all be there. And there they were, even if The Sanctuary had changed itself and was in a whole new position, he had still managed to follow his instincts to get to them as quick as possible. Using his nose to travel across the new base he guided himself and his mental stranger to a outer portion of the base, immediately spotting his sister, leaning against a tank...with...*
...What happened to Jones...?
*Nothing they had done to wake Jones up had worked. In the end, the Visitor had worked with Triage and the medic of the displaced River Guard, Caspian, to design a total life support module.
Evie now stood beside that module, her hand on the glass, inches away from her husband's, yet barred from touching him. Jones' breathing, heart rate, and vital nutrients were all monitored and supplemented by the machine. His side bled through the bandages, bluer even than the healing liquid he was suspended in.
That sickening blue, that felt like the only color in the world at the moment.
Until she heard a familiar voice. Evie snapped out of it, jarred, and turned to find...*
Venge?...
*She dropped everything and ran to him, burying her face in his scarf. He smelled like hay.*
Venge! I-... He...
*He was so warm...
Her voice cracked, and she broke down, unable to hold up the facade of calm that she had been presenting to everyone all day.*
*As soon as he heard Evie beginning to cry he wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace, his hand going on her head.*
Shh...it's okay, I'm here now. Everything will be fine. You can rest...you can rest. It's over...
*Was it really over? His eyes wandered to that module, his Commander suspended in the liquid. He had never seen him like this...But Jones was the type of man able to survive the most terrible of moments.*
Jones is strong...I'm sure he'll be back before we know it...We just have to support him from here...Protect him and not let anyone hurt him...
*Evie couldn't calm down for a long while. They'd almost lost his heartbeat so many times. She hadn't slept, had barely eaten. The Visitor hovered over everything, and somehow his reassurances felt less like reassurance and more like needles under her skin.
Jones remained motionless.
All this time, she had thought she understood how important he was to her. She had never kidded herself with the idea that she appreciated him as much as he deserved, but now? Of course it would be when he couldn't hear her that she would remember all the times she could have said "I love you" just one more time... and hadn't.
And everything was falling apart without him. She wasn't the charismatic leader he was...*
*This was horrible to look at. Evie wasn't calming down, the realization that Jones wouldn't have been awake anytime soon was just hitting him...
And tears were falling from his eyes. But those weren't his tears...he didn't feel like crying...*
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I couldn't protect anyone...And now look at Jones..."
S-stop...you're making..
"I'm a failure...my future will happen all over again!"
What are you taking about!?
"...! Shit- you can-"
*He was spiraling and the effects were being thrown at Vengeance, he could swear Vengeance was starting to advert the same panic that was rising from him. And If that wasn't enough, Vengeance was communicating loudly...he was making him look crazy.*
"I'm sorry..Sorry. I-...*sigh*. We need to take care of this."
*Vengeance took a deep breath. His guest was proving himself to be just like him at times.
He softly kissed Evie's head, slowly lowering the both of them so that they would be sitting, letting her curl up on him and gently taking her face in his hands and brushing away the endless tears*
Listen...I'm here now. Everything's gonna be fine. I'm fine. You're fine. He...He'll be fine. Everyone's fine. We've been through worse and we will face even worse. But we have to stand strong and close if we want to power through.
*Vengeance thought deeply as his eyes wandered to Jones' face...the leader of the Reality Warriors was temporarily down, they needed someone to take their place...someone who was as close as his ideologies, someone who knew who Jones was inside and out, someone who...could be like Jones.*
..mmh.
*He looked down at Evie, he had no doubt his sister could be a great leader, and technically she was automatically one being Jones' other half...but she looked so broken and hopeless over the closeness of her losing her beloved, his heart tore apart and his stomach twisted at the mere thought of forcing her to lead the team. Alone.*
Hey...you need rest, I don't know what happened while I was gone, but it was clearly bad, and now you're in no shape to be standing and working right now.
I'll do what needs to be done. I'm rested and certainly not touched by whatever happened here. I feel- renewed.
I can take Jones' place for as long as you guys need. I won't let anyone else do anything while they recover. Especially not you.
*Venge wasn't usually this gentle, or this good at calming her down. Evie started trying to take deep breaths, but the attempted reassurance that everyone would be fine snapped the thin thread she had grasped.*
No! No no no, nothing is fine! You don't understand! Nothing is fine!!
*She gripped his sleeves like a vice, panic in her eyes.*
The Foundation is dead! The Ice King killed him! Then the Voyager killed the Ice King, overloaded the Zero Point, and messed up the Island! Visitor says that John tried to stabilize the Point, and he doesn't know how John got shot! Now the Point is ready to collapse all Reality! Everything is not fine!!
*Staying messed up like this would just make everything worse. Venge was barely back from recovery, he wasn't in any shape to lead... and frankly he never had been. She had to pull herself together.*
No... No, I need to do this... I just... need some time away from that freak... The Visitor... He was standoffish before but now he's just unsettling. I need some time away from him to think. I need to think...
*She was right...this whole situation was worse that he thought, he was underestimating things...he knew nothing. He kept saying everything was fine but clearly he didn't have the whole picture.
He was making this worse for her he was acting carelessly he was being the one that minimized problems again he was-*
*Vengeance's soft expression that was threatening to change into pure panic had suddenly fell, his eyes stared both at Evie and at nothing at the same time, his hands gripping Evie's shoulders.*
So what if that happened? Tell me. What if that happened?
Tell me when did someone ever let their ego get to them so much it didn't pay them back. Tell me when someone worked with evil beings and didn't get stabbed in the back for being foolish. Tell me when John didn't try to do something that was too big for him and didn't almost die for it. Tell me when someone ever said every detail about an injury. Tell me when The Zero Point was ever stable.
Tell me your idea of Everything being Fine. Because We are sure never could be truly called fine. We have been in a constant state of danger and war for eons and "fine" is only a codeword for "moments of truce between us and the Omniverse". It is not the first time we lose and almost lose people, but if we let that take us over our minds it's just going to worsen this situation and speed up the process of us joining them into the grave. If we even can. Saying everything is fine is the way to tell the Omniverse to go fuck itself because we are not going down. No matter what happens.
We are Vengeance. Not Cowardice.
*And that's when Vengeance clapped his hands onto his mouth, looking at it. Afraid that any more word was going to hurt Evie further.*
"what was that!?"
"She...she wouldn't listen...I hate when they don't listen..."
"Not that- what was YOU speaking through ME!?"
"Oh...I think I panicked.."
"...You and I are having a talk later."
*His hands left his mouth, Inhale. Exhale. You're calm. His eyes went soft again, but kept that tinge of stern.*
I think I didn't make myself clear. You are in no condition of leading alone, freaks around or not. You alone would go insane. And I know something about being insane and it's an experience i do not recommend. You can think all you want but I'm not letting you take the weight on your shoulders alone while so freaked out about your husband in a coma and watch you as i'm completely unfazed and fine. So either you let me help you, or I'm going to believe I am already looking at a woman who has lost her mind.
*Evie stared at Vengeance in shock and concern, the panic and pain shaken out of her.
He wasn't exactly wrong, but Venge... he wouldn't usually say this sort of thing.*
... You've... changed.
*Slowly, a little shaky, she stood up again, taking some deep breaths and brushing the dampness from her cheeks.
It was true, she couldn't do this alone. But, changed or not, Venge had never been stable enough to lead. However, if he really had changed... maybe she could depend on his support.*
I have to do this... John made me his second because he trusted me to do this if he was ever... unable to. I can't let him down by shirking this.
*Another deep breath. A good cry had definitely cleared her head. She could see the next few steps a little more clearly.*
If you can help me... Please help me get a little time first. I need to organize a few things, and then I'm going to call a meeting. Everyone...
I may have just learnt what has happened...but I think I was only spared the painful part...I'll explain when the time is right. I need to figure it out myself first.
But I'm not letting unstableness and whatever affect me when my family clearly needs it. I'm not letting my sister go through this alone.
*He looked at Evie with pure confidence in his eyes, a glint of seriousness hinted he was sure about this.*
First you need rest, then you organize whatever is there to organize and then you'll call the meeting. I'll make sure no one disturbs you and everyone takes their time to recover. If any of you throws themselves on action without proper rest i'm just going to start planning your temporary or permanent funerals depending if your mortals or not. It's gonna be a quick patrol of telling around, then i'm gonna take care of a more...personal matter.
*He had to understand who was inside his head. He wasn't going to fully trust him if he knew nothing.*
Her voice cracked, and she broke down, unable to hold up the facade of calm that she had been presenting to everyone all day.*
*Evie had been on the front lines, for whatever that had been worth. The Zero Point unleashed had dampened her Force abilities, and she, like everyone else, had been thrown around like ragdolls in the gravitational waves.
Now the Foundation was frozen, the Ice King obliterated, Kendo had split the Harvester.....
And Jones had gone silent.
Evie hailed again and again, but to no avail. The Voyager vanished in the chaos. The Harvester fell apart, adding to the mess.
In the settling dust Evie spotted one of the River Guard, and she started to reach out to them, hoping one of them had a working comm --
-- Blinding pain shot through her side, causing her to scream and fall to one knee. Two words pounded her head: "Jones. Danger."
Forcing herself to her feet, Evie abandoned all attempts to contact Jones, instead sprinting full tilt to the caverns they'd deployed from. It was not a short run, and she arrived dizzy from the strain.
Jones was nowhere to be seen.
Desperately she began to search, calling for Jones, ignoring the Visitor standing in the middle of the room, panic rising until finally she snapped.
Evie turned on the Visitor, grabbing him by the armored collar, fear cracking her voice.*
WHERE IS JOHN?! Where is he?! This place was supposed to be safe!! What happened?!!
[Visitor held his hands up, letting Evie's strength shake him with her fear and anger.]
Miss Evie, I am afraid I do not know! Jones left to try and contain the blast, against my concerns. When I awoke, he was not here!
[Evie let him go, then, and Visitor coughed slightly, getting unsteadily back to his feet.]
That said... being directly in the middle of a Zero Point Energy Blast is not good for anyone. I certainly hope that he is alright, but we have to be prepared for the possibility otherwise.
[Looking out over the scorched and changed landscape, Visitor let his shoulders slump.]
We... lost contact with the troops before the Point reformed... I know our mission failed, but, Foundation... did he survive?
*Evie dropped the Visitor's collar, letting him fall.*
No, he can't...
*They'd just tied the knot. Barely a week ago.*
He can't just --!
*The danger pounding in her head made her clutch her hands to her hair.*
NO!!!
*Terror and the beginnings of grief welled up, tearing out of her in a scream that rattled the walls. The Force threatened to buckle the floor beneath them with the weight.
With a tremendous effort, Evie pulled herself together. Grief became denial, became anger. Others were starting to filter in, looking around in confusion. She turned, facing them, red-rimmed eyes blazing wildly.*
FIND HIM! Spread out and find John Jones! We're not done here until he's safe!!
*He couldn't be dead. He couldn't be. She wouldn't accept it. She would tear this Island apart stone by stone to make sure he was alive.*
*Those blasts had scattered many around, and Ripp was given the mission to find most. Following the signals based on the cards, he was able to find the majority of the members and get them to a safer place.
Except for one.*
Lieutenant to Alex. I found most but not all. I'm sending them to the Sanctuary.
"Good. Wait- What do you mean not all!?"
I can't find the Commander, his card seems to have gone...static? I have low signal
"Maybe he was closer to those blasts and the card malfunctioned, he was in the front lines. but you have to find him."
I know! I'm not gonna leave him wherever he...-
is.
*Jones, on the ground, seemingly unconscious, but the worse part was the red patches on the floor, coming from him*
"Ripp? Ripp!?"
Call you back.
*Closing the comm, he rushed to Jones*
Jones! Jones!! Can you hear me!?
*No answer, and the blood was...a lot. He still had a pulse but how much was far was he going to go without medical help!?*
Shit.
*Looking around and raising his head, he noticed the lab's wall being destroyed and he could hear voices coming from inside*
Hey! Hey! Over here! I found the Commander!! I found Jones!!
*Evie was barely holding her sanity together. The Visitor was no help, standing in silence as she alternated regulatory breathing and reaching out through the Force. She could feel his eyes on her. What in the stars was his deal?!
She didn't get the chance to think too deeply about that, as the call suddenly rang from outside. Someone had found Jones.
Flying from her position in the caverns, Evie located the direction the call had come from, finding Ripp leaning over her beloved... who had a disturbingly pixelated wound in his side.*
JOHN!!
*She dashed to his side, cradling his head in her hands. His skin was pallid, and cold to the touch.*
Who did this to you?!...
*A clean wound, but cleaner and smaller from the back, with a burn there too, so shot from behind...
He was still breathing. Medical attention first, forensics later.*
Evie to Triage! Have a stabilizing kit ready for a burn shot! John is injured!
[Under his helmet, Visitor grit his teeth. He should have recalled Jones' immortality, especially considering that the Zero Point was in play once more. He had been certain that shot would kill.]
[His body language did not betray him, however. He was in control. He was the Visitor. They all believed that. He had worked very hard to make it so, and that snapshot had played his part in convincing them all.]
[This was child's play.]
*sigh*. What a relief. There has been so much loss today, to lose Jones as well would be...
[His voice caught, and he cleared his throat and looked away.]
[He knew it would happen, but it was... shocking. To realize Foundation was well and truly gone.]
I shall go on ahead to inform Order about what has happened. We shall begin preperations immediately for whatever enemy shall arrive next.
*Something about the Visitor's composure infuriated Evie. Tying off the patch job she'd done to keep Jones going, she stood and faced the Visitor, eyes dark and fuming.*
Oh, no, I'm not done with you yet. You let this happen. I left him in your hands because he TRUSTED you, and you let him get hurt on your watch. We're not done.
*She turned briefly, signalling Ripp.*
Get him to Sanctuary. Now. I'll follow.
*Turning back to the Visitor, she stalked towards the bigger man, planting her clenched fist against his chestplate. The Force rippled the air around her.*
John trusted you, but I know better now. Your incompetence almost cost me my husband, and this Island its best defender. I won't make the same mistake as trusting you with our lives again until you prove to me that you're as good as he said you were. Am I understood??
[A wave of irritation flowed through Visitor. How dare this woman accuse him of incompetence!? She could not even see the width and breadth of his plan, his VISION, and she thought him incompetent!?]
[He wanted to snarl a threat. He wanted to take her by the neck and crush her in an instant. He almost wanted to tell her that he had planned this perfectly, and she had fallen for his trap.]
[But he let that urge slide off of him, and released it away from his mind. He was tranquil. He was Geno. He would not undo four year's worth of planning for an insult.]
[So, as he calmed, he opened his eyes beneath his helmet, and showed Evie what she wanted to see.]
You are understood.
[The pressure coming from her fist subsided. So, the girl really was a force user. That in and of itself was interesting.]
... Seeing as he is your husband, however, you are aware that when he gets it into his head to do something heroic, if foolhardy, that it is not a simple task to convince him to change his course.
Especially when the Zero Point is actively about to explode.
[He held his hands up in a gesture of surrender.]
That is not an excuse. Merely an explanation. I shall endeavor to better watch for his safety next time.
And I shall prove my capability to you. You have my word.
*She was getting too aggressive again. The Dark was pulling at her senses, she needed to stop.
It was true. Stopping Jones from his heroic impulses, however ill-advised, was difficult. But the Visitor of all people should have been able to stop him. Jones listened to the Seven.
Evie calmed herself, pulling her fist away. The air cleared.
She had to meet up with Triage. From this moment, she wouldn't leave Jones' side unless absolutely necessary.*
