After feeling poorly during my stay in Chiang Mai, it was nice to fly off to the island of Koh Samui to officially start the last few weeks of my trip.
The second largest island in Thailand after Phuket, Koh Samui is located off the east coast, in the Gulf of Thailand, and until the late 20th century the island was self-sufficient, having little to do with the mainland.
