I think knowing someone’s favorite song gets you to know someone better. It shows a lot about your personality. So I figured I’ll introduce myself. My name is Brooke and I think it’s so special that everyone has that one song that has a piece of their heart and how they belong in everyone’s life a little differently. It’s the song that makes you feel safe and at home the moment you start listening to it and for me that song will always be Cornelia Street. Love is something that means the most to me, but it’s the best and worst feeling you can have. It’s so heart warming yet heartbreaking and terrifying. The way that someone can just walk out of your life makes me so nervous, especially because you love that person. I always tend to overthink that part of love. If I ever lost the person I loved the most I wouldn’t go to the place that makes me the most safe no matter how hard it might be. It’ll hold too many memories for me that it would hurt. Also, I am a person who LOVES looking back at memories, feeling nostalgic is my favorite and Cornelia Street captures the feeling of nostalgia perfectly. With every lyric, a memory flashes upon my eyes and it’s absolutely magical. As being someone who struggles with anxiety, this song definitely has helped me through the worst times of my life, but has also been there through the happier and special moments. It has been there when no one has and it’s been a song that has been by my side, holding my hand these past few months. @taylorswift thank you for sharing this song with us, it means everything to me. @taylorswift hi buddy! i wanted to pop in and give you a quick little life update:D having so much free time on my hands recently is something i had been really struggling with at first. it’s so easy for me to get caught up in negative thoughts & put myself down, especially when i’m spending so much time on my phone. because of this, I decided to delete a couple of social media apps for a bit & ever since, i have been feeling so much better. i’ve begun to accept that i don’t need validation from others to feel good about myself, which is something i’ve always struggled believing. other than that, i’ve picked up some new hobbies! i started playing piano again, learned how to play the ukulele, caught up on some books i’ve been meaning to read, and have been facetiming “people who remind me of home”. you & your music have been my biggest sources of comfort for as long as I can remember and i will forever be grateful to have you as a constant in my life. i hope you’re staying safe and healthy! tell the cats i say hi;) sending you the biggest hug, i love you!!! -kayla 💌🍓🌩💐

i’d like to take a minute to thank @taylorswift for giving me my best friend brooke @daylightforswift. she is the only person truly getting me through this weird time. i wake up everyday looking forward to text allday. i really don’t know if i’d be okay without brooke. we started out as two people having awkward convos and now we’re best friends. i love you brooke. i hope i never lose you, hope it never ends.
