“He seemed to really understand vampires and the way we’re not all monsters as most seem to think. Vampires can be so dramatic when it comes to people finding out about who they are! I know it can be dangerous, but it’s not like people would actually believe it without having proof! And since they never really got it, they just thought we were a bunch of stories, something to tell their kids so they would behave and go to bed early.”

"Very very true. But it is pretty funny when a human tries to rub garlic on you or hold a cross up like it would stop us. It's adorable, really. I find it fun to humour them and pretend I'm burning or something. Some say it's sick and twisted to do that but it's fun to watch their ego burst when you stand there unaffected after the game and taking a bite to burst their bubble."

“That is very true. I find ever since I was turned into a Vampire I payed much more attention to the small things, although humans don’t really. They take everything for granted.” Caroline gave her an assured nod before turning to face the town. “I would gladly give you a tour, and while we’re walking you could maybe tell me how everything used to be way back then when you were around— Yeah, being lost isn’t really a good look, but Mystic Falls isn’t that big so you’d be perfectly fine.”

"It's better to pay attention to the smaller things. In the future, when you look back, you will realize just how big they were even if you didn't notice it at the time. It can be sad, happy, confusing and a little messed up when you look back. Trust me, after a thousand years, it can be all of those in one." A somewhat sad smile graced at her lips before she shook out of it. "I would love that. I mean, I've gotten used to cities before so it can't be so difficult. I suppose it's just weird when this place just looks like a distant stranger..." Her eyes scanned around for a moment before returning the blonde's eyes. "Well, lead the way, Caroline."

“Ah I remember reading the book days after it was published. Never had the pleasure of meeting him, I would’ve loved to. He seemed to be a very interesting person. I’m a big fan of his work, though at the time I think I was… Yes, I think I was in Russia, so I never really met him in person. Although, I heard about him being inspired by a real vampire while he was writting his masterpiece. You know vampires, always gossiping, and when word came out that one of our own was helping a regular human, most of them freaked out! I’m quite impressed to finally meet the vampire that lead the curious mind of Bram Stoker to write such an amazing work!”

"Oh yes, he was a truly brilliant man. I believe he once told me how he saw something beautifully human in me through the monstrous vampire streak. Such a kind soul. But yes, his writing is true perfection. I miss him in someways. And it is an honour to meet you as well, my dear. But yes, the vampires did freak out in exposure but the rumours soon died down when humans regarded it as fiction rather than real. A sigh of relief I suppose."

“Ah— let’s just stop talking about doppelgangers.“ Caroline shook her head forcing a tiny laugh out. ”Hey, you pay attention to the tiny things don’t you, I find some people don’t really pay attention to them. It’s nice to meet someone that does.” She turned to face the other female “So would you like to do something? See how Mystic Falls is now, or should we could continue talking about doppelgangers and such” Forming a tiny smile to grace her features.

"What do we have if we only look at the big things? The littlest things will always turn out to be the biggest when we look back on the past." Mina pondered for a moment before a smile returned to her rosy red lips. "Perhaps you could give me a tour around. Might be useful if I plan on sticking around for a while. Need to know where everything is because lets be honest, being lost isn't a good look."

“Fair point. Humans really don’t enjoy the little things. But I guess it’s because they’re aware of how little time they have left, and want to do so much in so little time. I can understand that. I’ve been here a few times over the years, and this town really has evolved quickly. It used to be filled with vampires and other beings like us, and everyone was aware of it. Now, no one even knows about us, and what they do know, is because of movies, and bed time stories. They consider us monsters, they don’t really know what we are, and how we can be. I’m not saying none of us are bad. But it’s like humans: some are good, and some are bad. People have a hard time understanding that.”

"They either don't stop to smell the roses or they do absolutely nothing. That's the sad pity I hold for humans. They don't make the most of their lives but when they don't, they don't appreciate it. As for media affecting the views upon vampires, I have to agree it has changed dramatically. It's a sad day when we become sparkling discoballs in sunlight. I much prefer the Bram Stoker edition but... I suppose I am somewhat biased given my role in Bram's work. Excellent man though, good company."
