batch one of wof redesigns! again! I think I bridged the gap between fantasy dragon and real plausible sapient animal in a way I like. little blurbs about their biology below. Note this takes place in a sorta, wof headworld, redone worldbuilding.
General: all dragons have forked tongues and a jacobsons organ, giving them a very good sense of smell. the dragon ancestor was feathered, all bald tribes are secondarily bald. They also have scutes like birds for this reason. All dragons are flighted, and ancestrally able to breath fire (lost in a couple tribes)
Skywings: Tallest tribe (as of right now in my designs, icewings might outheight them but idk yet). They're awkward on land, but extremely agile and fast in flight. Their hindlimbs are relatively weak, resulting in difficulty running and walking for long distances. Their fire is the hottest and longest ranged. they fan either shoot out a constant stream, or bolts of fire. Skywing on skwing fights are like dogfights. They are hyper carnivores, hunting large mountain prey and occasionally flying prey.
Seawings: The heaviest tribe. They are the weakest flyers and also struggle with long distance walking. They can gallop at high speeds for a short burst. Their bioluminescence is related to their dragon fire magic, modified at some point in their life to create the bright glows. they generate heat, but not enough to burn. Theyre hyper carnivores, eating a fish and marine tetrapod diet, eating whales is more common in more northern and open water communities.
Rainwings: the smallest tribe, most comfortable climbing in trees. They are super agile flyers and fast in short bursts. They can change colors :). Their venom is a liquid that burns like fire, not an actual venom, it literally chars away at the victim. Omnivores, leaning more herbivorous, their diets are mostly fruits and vegetables supplemented with occasional meat.
Mudwings: Second heaviest. Jack of all trades, not the best at flying, swimming or flying but can do all of these things equally well. Their famously tough, most dragons claws cannot puncture their hide. Their fire is almost liquid, kind of like napalm? it sticks to things and drips. Omnivorous generalists, eat whatever they have on hand. Mudwings have some of the largest and most complex farmlands in pyrrhia, with farming likely originating on the fertile riverbanks of the mudwing kingdom.

A 19-year-old black trans girl was shot to death this month, and there has been absolutely no media reporting on it - despite extensive reporting on almost identical incidents in the same part of Florida, at the same time. The police, as usual, misgendered her in the police report and have done nothing to find her killer. Her name was Jayla Mcgee. Black trans people deserve to grow old.
