this rp has made me a queen extrapolator. horses came up and i realised that the cadets would have to learn how to ride horses and handle them under extreme conditions (I.E. THERE'S A TITAN ON YOUR ASS) and do you know the first rule about horses???

They are scared of two things; things that move and things that don't.

Do you KNOW how good at handling these fucking scouts have to be??

Anyway Eren is good with horses.

I'm a normal person with mostly normal thoughts about AOT and Isayama's writing but one thing that I just now found the words for is that...there's this underlying implciation that freeing Ymir was not something that should have been done.

That Eren freeing her was bad, because by doing so he conducts the Rumbling (which, as people forget, Ymir also wants and abets not just Eren), which only happens if he frees her, ergo, her freedom is morally unjustifable. If the Rumbling is never justifiable (which it isn't), neither is her freedom, because they necessitate each other because they both require Eren.

Nobody else could- because even Mikasa's freeing of Ymir requires Eren to take the first steps (which, again, is the Rumbling).

Its one aspect of the story I keep coming back to alongside Carla's death reveal that makes the story fall apart (first diagetically, and the other metaphorically) and I just go...no I can't fit these together in a way that doesn't make me deeply confused.
