Like seriously, why isn’t pole dancing an olympic sport? This is freakin gymnastics. This is strength and skill. This is not sexual whatsoever. Why does pole dancing have to be so stigmatised as a sexual thing that only strippers do? I have great respect for all people who can pull this off. This is art and beauty right here.
HEY FUN FACT: pole dancing is known as something strippers do because strippers invented it. And that’s okay! It’s okay to have respect for strippers and the hard work they put into what they do! Let’s stop trying to take the stripper part out of pole dancing so upperclass white girls can do it without being ~stigmatized~ because god forbid women be sexual.
Seriously, ballet was originally invented by prostitutes, and now look, it’s a fine art with no sexual stigma. Respect art in whatever form it comes.

Quest Bars?
Am I the only one who doesn’t like Quest bars? They have such a weird texture and taste. SOME are okay and they work in a pinch (S’mores, Strawberry Cheesecake), but I’m very unimpressed in general.
On the other hand, though, I ordered a couple Oh Yeah! ONE bars and the cinnamon roll flavor was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I could eat it every day. It tasted like a real cinnamon roll??? Why are these not hyped up? Pretty sure I’m going to order every flavor they have.

We also live in a society where people routinely congratulate those who lose weight due to illness. When i had mono and couldn’t eat at all for 6 days and then couldn’t eat normally for weeks afterward, naturally i lost a bunch of weight. I complained to a male coworker that my winter coat was hanging off of me since the mono had made me lose so much weight. He said, “that’s good!”
When i lost 30 lbs because my anxiety disorder made it almost impossible for me to eat normally (i’m talking i was at an all inclusive resort for a family member’s wedding for a week and all i could eat the whole time was little cubes of watermelon and cantaloupe - and this problem went on for months), people congratulated me on my weight loss and told me how great my debilitating anxiety made me look, though not in those words.
This is so common and so gross, and consciously devaluing weight loss makes it easier to see how fucked up it is. The next time i lose weight due to an illness, the first person to congratulate me is gonna get an earful. (Sorry, whoever you are.)
Preparation is key 🔑 it literally takes 20 minutes (give or take a few depending on what you’re making) to prepare meals for tomorrow if you plan to be on the go. ‘I don’t have enough time ’ is NO excuse for spending $50+ dollars on take out a week because you were too lazy to buy and make your own food. Food that you know exactly how it’s cooked and what it’s cooked with. Who knows what exactly you’re getting when you buy food out? Even if you believe it’s healthy-may not be as good as you think. So instead of scrolling through Instagram for half an hour, or watching two extra YouTube videos, or watching TV, use that time to make your breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks for the next day if you’re going to be on-the-go all day. (School, work, etc etc). You’ll save a heap of money and notice better results for it. HEY, you could even prep your meals whilst you watch TV/YouTube and so on…win win situation right? Some Inspo in this photo is some of my favourites! Yoghurt, muesli and fruit for brekky and some brown rice, chicken and Veges for lunch! If that’s not what floats your boat, come up with another idea for your meals and snacks! Omelettes, smoothies, Sandwiches, leftover dinners, stir fries, salads, fruit, Veges and hommus, homemade protein brownies/muffins/bliss balls, ETC! So many ideas. Just spend the time to prep your meals and you’ll feel much better for it-and your purse will too 😜😜

So, really the point of all this is to show others that you don’t necessarily have to give up the things you love just to lose weight. You can still enjoy life and get it done. :)
**I should write a book (a short one) about weight loss and the enjoyment of Starbucks. Haha
Imagine all the plastic waste you could have saved (and money- 10 cents each time) if you had brought your own travel mug...
