her story
her great, great grandfather was ronald reagan, her father was the youngest of about six kids and somehow got none of the admirable traitsÂ
she was born is washington state to a dead beat father and a loving mother
the father had turned to selling drugs when he could not support his family and refused to ask for help from others in the family, he made meth to be exact. and it was okay for a time, until the father started using himself. he was in and out of jail once he did.
the mother divorced the father seeing as she did not want to be apart of that life. but the mother was killed because of this, alaska was six and remembers it all. and it was the father who killed her, enraged his wife would do such a thing when he was in prison (for a meth charge, go figure)
and because of this alaska was put into foster care. she has not seen her father since before he was put into prison, her mother would not allow it, and now since he is out she has so much hate for him she will never see him again
she moved to nyc the moment she was 18, she used up all the money she had been saving working three jobs on top of school. it was a shit apartment but it was hers. this was when she met others of her family, and they took her under their wing. they could believe when she told them how her father was, but finally. alaska was apart of a family. and it seemed her life changed overnight.Â
they allowed her her space, but paid for a nicer apartment within the city, she got a job in psychology and she did that for a few years before she wanted to go to college, and ashcroft as it was a family thing.
her personality before getting sober
a mess of a person. she drank about eight out of the seven days in the week on a bad week. but only four out of seven on a good week, it all depended on her flashbacks from her childhood, and the night her mother was murdered. she was a high functioning alcoholic, but why you ask alcohol? because she wouldn’t want to be like her dad and go to drugs.
she was happy, yes, but overly happy. she didn’t seem human or was one of those humans who didn’t seem to have feelings. if that makes sense. she would come to classes drunk but only if you knew her well you would be able to tell. her family was worried but didn’t know the extent of it all since she kept it from them in nyc
she would also go with the flow, she was truly the quote if you stand for nothing you’ll fall for everything
her personality before after getting sober
now she’s hell on earth, along with being a phoenix i would say the label the activist is also a very good way to describe her
she knew she was out of control, but before a pregnancy test that was positive she didn’t want to get better, what was the point? in many ways she wanted to die to be with her mother.
she’s independent, highly energetic, doesn’t keep to herself, closed off, stands up for others aka the less fortunate and isn’t afraid to speak her mind.Â
she can come off as a little sad or distant but that’s more than likely her thinking of gemma back home in nyc.Â
