Monotonous

What’s up? How was your summer so far? I didn’t really go to the beaches during my summer vacation, but I went to conventions instead like PhilConstruct, DesignUBEC, and etc. This outfit was worn during the PhilConstruct event. It was the event being highlighted on the previous post. Anyway, I decided to have an almost everything-blue outfit to have the monotonous feeling. Was just being plain and simple yesterday. For my top, I wore a dark blue plain tee, and layered with a lighter shade of blue jacket. Hmm, I was so confused what the jacket was really like because it looked like a simplie jacket without a hood, and at the same time it looked like a blazer. So, you be the judge! And just a pair of dark blue comfy slacks. What do you think of the outfit?

PhilConstruct 2015

Yesterday was a great experience. Got to see different interior pieces and designs during the first day of PhilConstruct. The event, PhilConsturct, is a 3 day showcasing of construction related designs from June 5-7 held at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino, Lahug, Cebu City.

The first thing to do is to register. Trust me, the registration is fast and easy. Just support the details or show your business card; and after that, you are ready to enter the event site.

When you enter the site, you can see the whole place occupied by reputed companies such as BOYSEN, Murillo Furniture, Magna and other companies that I look up to. What I love the most are the interior decor. Of course, since I am an interior design student.

Here are my Top 4 companies that are showcased during the PhilConstruct event:

1. AZCOR

The lighting fixtures from AZCOR really caught my eyes. I was in awe. So brilliant with the geometrical design jailing the light bulb. 

2. METAMORFOSE 

You could never get your eyes off METAMORFOSE's designs. Rich in weaving techniques that made each one of these furniture look so traditional yet modern. They did very well with the precision and accuracy. Not only do they make precisely weaved furniture but also produce artsy, chic interior decor, and most of them are inspired by the Japanese culture.  

3. BON ACE

The shell craft experts did an amazing job at capturing everybody's attention. The skill of being able to fuse seashell beauty with a hint of ethnicity is a talent that not a lot of people hone.

4. MURILLO

Smoothing the edges for curvilinear and linear designs in furniture-making is no other than MURILLO. The Murillo designers have set the bars to its peak in producing simple yet edgy furniture.

Mabuhay! Who says straw hats can’t be fashionable? I take pride in my straw hat because it represents the Filipino culture, especially the magsasakas (farmer).  Ever since I was young, the country side has been no stranger to me. I always see crops growing in the side, cows in the area, and especially hard working farmers sporting out these kick-ass straw hats which have been the inspiration for this look.  Maybe these straw hats can inspire your next look?

What’s Your Cup of Tee?  (Tee Essentials)

Whether you are a student or already a professional, we all suffer from fashion crisis when we run out of clothes or just not in the mood to collect and select. If everyday is a non-uniform day at school or work then that would be a problem to some of us. So, today I am here to share one of my daily essentials that could help answer your problems. Mainly featuring my tee pointers!

AVOID PRINTS

Tees having prints can grasp attention, but you don’t want your co-workers or schoolmates to notice the repetition. Right? Plus they are quick and easy to mix and match.

CHOOSE YOUR COLORS

Remember each color has its meaning and feel. Choose colors that fits your personality and style. Know and determine the color scheme of your wardrobe. If you’re on a tight budget, then represent the best color! Well, if you have the pocket to anything, then get every GOSH DAMN COLOR! haha!

OPINION: Forget About White for Awhile.

Yes, you can never go wrong with a white tee. White is holy and the safest. I believe all of us have white tees in our closets. Why not take a break and find something colorful or vibrant. After all, it’s summer. 

RECOMMENDATIONS / LAST WORDS

No idea where to get durable and chic plain-tees? The perfect go-to stores here in the Philippines are Forever 21men, Oxygen and SM stores. Price range of tees is from Php 199.00 - Php 399. Cheap and ready to wear to some degree. To avail from these stores is definitely worth it.

Ambient Elegance

Hey guys! What's up? This day's post features entirely about the interior of the Tan Family’s residence in San Lorenzo Village. The architecture and interior are sophisticatedly designed by the prominent Espina Architects.

I am astounded by the perfect space planning and furniture setup. Excitement takes over you when you walk inside the household. Don't even mention the traffic! But that's not it! The chief highlight is the mezzanine in between the foyer and living room. Traditional beauty and elegance grips the interior's key attraction. Furniture are well-picked and organized, make the interior's mood for traditional-modern flair. Spilling the beans about the color scheme, the interior decorator did very well in choosing antique-white and burnt umber. I simply love the contrast they create. Pretty chic!

Time and time again, I have mulled over how wonderful time is. Cliché, isn't it? Recently, Stigma sent this brilliant wristwatch. I truly value every detail of it. I simply love it! One luxury item per year doesn't hurt, right? Oversized Ego

What's up? Recently, We passed by this abandoned site filled with graffiti and damaged walls and it was a superb spot! It had an urban region so we opt to do the blog shoot there. Comfortably, the site reeked, but who cares! Comfy has been just everything to me. Oversized shirt is the central highlight of today's blog post. Isn't it perfect for a laid back day?! The exaggeration matters! Easily, my top didn't have that high level of exaggeration, but I think having it in moderate level really suffices everything! And hey, I want to find out your version! Casual and Unbuttoned

Hi! I merely came from school, did my shift form and enrollment. I got really weary and frustrated from my previous curriculum. By the way, I am an Advertising Arts major, Now shifting to Interior Design. This day drained all my energy from the processes. In any case, my aim for today is just my school obligations so I didn't' have to be more elaborate, just went casual.

The key ingredient of my "ootd" is a plaid shirt. Its Tartan pattern holds a versatile quality because it offers the item to be worn in many assorted ways.My first option was to stick with a white basic for my top, but I supposed it was too boring, so decided to layer it up with this plaid shirt from Oxygen. (Recommendation: Oxygen has loads of cool plaid shirts, I recommend this brand) To maintain up with the casual expression, the unbutton switch did a great job for the entire laid back appearance.
