*gets pen and paper ready*
Hmmm, I could list a few from different ethnic groups!
1. Aeta/Sambali - Mayari/Mallari/Apo na Malyari
2. Kapampangan - Sinukuan/Apolaki/Maria Sinukuan, Mayari/Mallari
3. Bikol - Oryol and Handyong
4. Waray-Waray, Cebuano, Bohol, Samar, and/or basically the entirety of the Visayan Region - Laon/Malaon/Makapatag/Raom/Laonsina/Alusina/Kanlaon/Lalahon. Holy shit, Laon, with all due respect you have so many names 💔
5. Visayan (again) - Makaptan and Magwayen
6. Mandaya (?) - Tambanokano
7. Tagalog - Makiling, Bathala Maykapal, Bathala katutubo, BulakTala Balatik and Mapulon, Buwan/Kulalaying, and Siyak!
Yeah that’s it! There’s like tons of ethnic groups so I’m still researching…

Every day praising an indigenous character Day 43-
Sucy Manbavaran from Little Witch Academia
Sucy Manbavaran (スーシィ・マンババラン Sūshī Manbabaran?) is one of the main protagonists of Little Witch Academia. She is a young witch from Southeast Asia.
Her first name, "Sucy", can mean "holy" in Malay and Indonesian, and may also be derived from "Susi" in Filipino, which means "key"; while her surname, "Manbavaran", is apparently derived from "Mambabarang" in Cebuano, which means "warlock/witch" and "black sorcerer/sorceress".
The Cebuano people are the indigenous people of the Philippines, Southeast Asia.
The Cebuano people (Cebuano: Mga Sugbuanon) are the largest subgroup of the larger ethnolinguistic group Visayans, who constitute the largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group in the country. They originated in the province of Cebu in the region of Central Visayas, but then later spread out to other places in the Philippines, such as Siquijor, Bohol, Negros Oriental, southwestern Leyte, western Samar, Masbate, and large parts of Mindanao.
Visayans or Bisayans are the indigenous people of the Visayan Islands. They speak many languages, of which the largest in terms of number of speakers today is Cebuano. According to Ethnologue there are 25 Bisayan language, although at least one (Tausug) is spoken by a group considered to be outside the Visayan culture area.
Visayans (Visayan: mga Bisaya; local pronunciation: [bisaˈjaʔ]) or Visayan people are a Philippine ethnolinguistic family group or metaethnicity native to the Visayas, the southernmost islands of Luzon and a significant portion of Mindanao.

Hey all!! Have been wanting to make a Cebuano vocabulary list for a while now, I'm waiting to be able to get "Bisdak: learn to speak Cebuano overnight" by KD Sofia Sigil but in the meantime my boyfriend is a native speaker and helped me make this short little list! There's no theme to it, because many words I ask him he says they just use English (such as strawberry).
Cebuano, or Bisayâ/Binisayâ (Visayan in English) in the language, is spoken in the south of the Philippines, in Visayas (such as Cebu, of which Cebuano is named after and home to standard Cebuano) and in Mindanao. It's the lingua franca in many of these areas, and English is weaved throughout the language, making it a bit difficult to learn, as pure Visayan often sounds archaic, such as the Lord's Prayer:
Amen."
It is apart of the Bisayan language group (of the wider central Philippine group), and is by far the most widely spoken out of the Bisayan languages, spoken by about 20 million people. Other major languages within this group are Hiligaynon (7.8 million people) and Waray (3.6 million people). Many speakers of Cebuano prefer the term Bisayâ or Binisayâ, or Visayan in English (not to be confused with the broader Bisayan group) as they trace their ancestry to speakers of their native area, not settlers from Cebu. Even within the Visayan language, there are distinct dialects, such as the Bohol dialect on the island of Bohol.

Uling [Charcoal] ~
"Nagbaga nga kalayo sa atong kabatan-onan [The burning fire of our youth]
'di mapalong kon agi-an man sa mug-ot nga panganod ug uwan [can't be extinguished even through dark clouds and rain]
sama sa usa ka punoan nga aduna'y gibarugan [like a tree that has something to stand on]
'di matarug ug matangtang bisag kapila mo pang tayhupan." [it will not be shaken and removed no matter how many times you blow it]

Translation: I like this delicacy in Pangasinan called pigar-pigar. It's made with carabao meat. It's a bit tough but I love the flavors they use. There's spice from chili peppers, black pepper, and crispiness from the sauteed cabbage and onions. The serving is bit small however, it should be "bigar-bigar."
